Check to see if there is a ding anywhere on the spindle where the ID bearing race binds. It's a tight fit so it doesn't take much... You may have to do some filing if you find one. Obviously, make sure there is no dirt or grit. Sometimes lightly greasing the bearing race helps. DONT FORCE IT ON ! Measuring the ID's is a good idea, but most people dont have tools for that. While yes, there is increased drag, I think that is a tremendous generalization. I would think windows down would make a much bigger difference with a small engine aerodynamic car than it would our 'rolling wall' Pathys. Just to hit the extreme, a buddy of mine has some huge old chevy with some rediculous V8. He gets 9 mpg... Up hill, down hill, empty, loaded, whatever. Thats just what it takes to keep his big block idling and producing 300 hp... I doubt that having the windows down makes any difference for him... B

Hmm, he had the truck for what, over a year ? And put how many miles on it ? Go get your truck, dont pay him, or just a deposit, and drive it for a while to make sure Gomer did a good job. Then pay him the rest after a year (or how long he had it) -milage charge. Thats how I'd do it, NO JOKE !! B

*sigh* Check the gap with WIRE gages. They SHOULD be to spec, but I found some variance between the 4 that I put in my bike and they were $22 each !! At that price, they should be perfect and install themselves !! B

I believe the point here is that he wants to try to MAKE a snorkel for his R50. Robert, I don't anyone here has made a snorkel for their their R50. A few have done it for the WD21 so you may be able to borrow some of their ideas and adapt them to your own truck. I don't know the R50's well so I;m not much help. If you are handy with tools and mildly clever, I'm sure you could figure out an acceptable one. Let me dig around and see if I can find you some links for ideas. B

I got the Pro Comp ES3000 shocks and ES2000 steering stabilizer for $120 from 4wheelparts. I'm happy with them; they are better then OEM I think. The rear are a little stiff, but I also think I'm topped out from install the JGC springs. I'll probably make an adapter... B

Air actuated locker you engage any time you want and it will spin both wheels. Manual lockers will generally be engaged all the time (other than some hard turning with full traction I believe) and both wheels will spin. LSD will spin both tires is loose stuff (sand/mud/snow) and disengage while turning hard with moderate traction and is almost useless if one wheel is buried and the other suspended, as you have found out. That said, different brands of manual lockers work somewhat different. I don't know them well enough to define by brand. B

1 gallon (UK)=4.55 litres 1 gallon (US)=3.79 litres 1 Litre=.264 gallons (US) LOL wheel366, that would be a LOT of crap in the tank !! You'd be clogging the fuel system every tank. Yeah Mr P, I generally fill up when I drop below 1/4 tank myself. When I first bought the truck, I ran it down to E several times (from 1/2 tank) then replaced the inline fuel filter... B

Yes, I agree, it is interesting if I agree with it or not. Everyone as good points and are missing some tidbits of information that would influence their opinion.
