Max is a Leafs fan also?? Oh, wait... B

That's more than 3 things... Seriously though, try breaking it down into 1 or 2 related questions per thread and you'll get much better response. Also, look in the product review section, there is a post on tranny coolers that will tell you what you need to know. And NO, zip ties are not suitable fasteners, regardless of what Red tells you!!! UCAs aren't that hard but different people have different problems (bushings, bolt lengths, shock clearance)... Hubs, I don't know. Efans, I don't know, but there are MANY threads about it. SEARCH is your friend. B

Transadapt makes something suitable and there are more listed here... http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=6486 While it is straight forward, it sounds like you should pay to have it installed. As for the noise, U joints? Unlikely but possible. Rear differential? Possibly, when was the last time the fluid was changed? Loose exhaust heat shield? Maybe... "Sound" issues are real hard to diagnose without hearing. Perhaps someone else has better ideas... B

Agreed with the color, but Dude, it's a car... All wheel drive and whatever, but it has car clearance. 1 real rut and the wheels are hanging and there is plastic to pick up. It's a perfectly good vehicle for what it is meant for but it does not have "excellent off-road capability"!! B

1) Check out my rig... 2) Nothing other than don't overheat them, it'll only make things worse. My advice? If it ain't broke, don't fix it... Don't like that advice? Buy headers, gaskets and upgraded replacement studs; you'll never have to deal with it again. LOL, you can never have enough Pathys; after a while you are just a rancher with a herd... Sweet Z BTW!!! B

Ok, thanks Red!! Ya, I have one. At what point do you know they need replacing and not just making unimportant noise? (mine is hard to hear over normal engine noise unless you are obsessive like me) Like I said, what is bad? (first motor with hydraulic lifters) B
-
Ok, I have a similar sound, not as bad coming from the left (passenger) bank of cylinders. It does fade in and out with intensity, silent to noise to silent with the same regularity at idle(I presume). I have no idea what this is... Oil pump not feeding the lifters? No clue... B
-
^ Exactly!! That's step 1... While probably not part of the issue, may I recommend Lucas injector cleaner? The best $5 I've spent in a long time... B

Close enough for me... I love my beer and my vehicles (dune buggies, 4x4s, superbikes, etc) but I've learned not to love them together... B

1) No experience 2) What does the wear pattern look like on the old tires? If they are unevenly worn, you need an alignment. I almost always have an alignment done when mounting new tires, but then, it has usually needed it. 3) New tires, no question about it. 4) I was looking the other day, but the list is at home. I'll chime in later. B Here is a good read and may list some sources... http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=5948

I know!! ZIP TIES!!! Seriously though, wouldn't stacked washers create a snag point? That' the whole idea of the OD slope. I must not get what you mean. Also, are you using hex bolts? What size thread? What size through hole? B
-
Welcome back Bud!! I'm glad you have the Pathy bug again... Here is a thread from someone else who is basically in the same boat as you. It goes into prices a bit also. Check it out. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=19805 Sorry, work internet is being screwy so I couldn't look at the pictures... B

Sheesh, I can't remember everything/everyone!!! You have to remember GG, unlike you, we are all just foolish mortals... B

Yeah, they do that. Here is a thought that occurred to me since I replaced my clutch (everything) 4 years ago. After 1 year, the throw out bearing would bark sometimes, but usually only on cold start up then nothing. I bled the system, no difference. Did you check the input shaft to the tranny? My guess is if there is a little slop there, the throw out bearing has the play to make noise, even though everything else is good. Not trying to scare you but just something that has me puzzled. Perhaps I'll have better understanding when I pull the tranny again in the next few months... Well, I took several days to do it, but I also was very cautious and addressed several other things when I had it jacked up... B

That only works with cutting boards... B

Don't push it you college attending, parent living, unemployed Canadian!!!! B

Actually, you just need the rock washers with a short pilot sleeve for the bore. To lose one on the trail, well it's either torn off (bad luck) or you dropped it when you took the bolt off (stupidity, pick it up). What head bolt is used, standard hex? Using a pan head or others would reduce the clearance requirements quite a bit... Yeah Pezzy, sent me an example or at least email me dimensions and I'll tell you what I can do/recommend. B

Understatement of the century Sweetheart... So shiney that you need sunglasses to get under the truck!! B

Ahh, well, not my specialty but Marcel is a sheet metal guy, I'd be amazed if he didn't know people in the stamping/press business. Wouldn't be suprised if he had a lot run by a buddy for a set of skids or something like that. I'd have to see them, but it may be something that can be formed on a smaller press 20 ton or so. The dies wouldn't be complicated. Personally, I'd have a buddy of mine CNC machine them out of mild steel, cheap!! B

I just changed the rear LSD fluid. I put in Lucas 80w-90 which said it was suitable for LSD. So far no problems, noises, etc but then that was 200 miles ago... I don't know if the friction plates will slip or grab due to lack of the additive. B

That sounds quite likely, good call. Don't you have a Dremel or the like, especially with flexline accessory? That with a 1" wire wheel wil take care of it in moments. If you don't own one, borrow... Took me at least 3 hours (and a neighbors wrench, mine was longer) to tighten the 2 hoses. Buy, beg, borrow or steal a 7/8" crows foot wrench for the 1/2NPT fittings, it will save you much time and many cramps!!! (I'm buying a set next week!!! ) B

Horseapples! Have lathe! Can rock washer... B

Thanks for posting the pitch LandShark. You were driving without the Pan Hard Rod connected?? Holy crap, what did it feel like? B
