Sorry Dave, you needed the mounting dimensions. I'll consider that a reminder and will bump the priority. If the photos still exist, I showed pictures of what can (pathetically) hold your bumper in place until you finish the custom one in a thread, BL in the Garage section?? I'll look... My 2" lift kit had cast 2" blocks, not cut down. Ask Red where the hell he bought it from... B

There was, but I can't seem to find it right now. I'll look again when I get home. Worst case scenario I can burn a copy for you and mail it. Someone was kind enough to do the same for me... B

Timing Belt Change(outside before the weather turns COLD!)
Precise1 replied to blackspawn's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Congrats on getting it done relatively painlessly. It's not really that hard, just a fair amount of work and a few specialty tools required. And now you know your truck that much more... B Oh, you are welcome. -
http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=2621 It is pinned at the top of this section, I should have just posted a link to begin with. Interesting point. B

Simply put, why?? You can replace it without pulling the motor, it seems like unnecessary work... I think Mr Jim has aftermarket cams also?? Jim wolf makes cams also IIRC. B
-
Well, I'm sorry to hear that you sold your truck, but that happens. At least it is to get your dream car and not for another reason. I'm sure you could find another one in the futyure if you wish, I know many of us have. Thanks for the good words about the site, I'm glad you found it so helpful. That is the purpose... B

Yep. Remove the entire cluster (not hard at all) and check the connections/tighten the brass screws in the back (ground points) and reinstall. Does it work now?? The next step is checking/replacing the voltage regulator IIRC. I'll have to search for that thread... B

A man can never have enough latex gloves or buckets/catch pans... Trust me!! B

Ok, it's a 95, but put that in your visible information please. It helps everyone... Did you say you got 7 MPG?? I almost passed this by as you said you have thrown a scanner on it so I thought it must be 96 and never. On yours, you can read the ECU for faults, the directions are in the 'How To' section. Did you say you got 7 MPG?? I have never heard of that bad milage. Have you tested the O2? There is a thread about what values it should have. B

Do you know about the TSB that recommends 'overfilling' the manual transmission with 5.1 liter of oil? If not it is pinned in the Garage section, and if so, is your tranny overfilled? B
-
That sucks. I can think of a few times when 4hi would be useful also... B

Strange Popping sounds coming from front end..

This is in the 'Common Issues' pinned thread, IIRC... B -
Timing Belt Change(outside before the weather turns COLD!)

As I understand it, it needs to be taken off to do a good job. Perhaps some have managed a work around, but I do not recall them and I changed the cam seals (removed the back cover) so it was a non issue. At the end of the day, I know you want (maybe need) to get it running soon, but how soon do you want to do this again?? Not in 3 months, I'm sure. Take the time and pull the cams and shield. Clean things up well and even use a little sealant... B -
Start with the battery only. Just get a reading, don't crank for minutes. Clean all terminal/Ground/starter connections (yes, it's a pain, but you need to know they are in good shape) and then do the same test to see if there is a difference. Then please post your findings and we can diagnose from there... B

DOH!! Ouch!! First off, I don't work on gear boxes, and second, just because you don't understand doesn't mean it isn't viable. I happen to be a pro at something no one knows of... Well, regardless of upgrades, my truck runs and I drive it every day. I think that puts things in perspective, eh?? B

Hell, I might have banned him!! B

I was pointing out to the member that my previous post had already answered his question. Damn Canadians, you have to spell everything out slowly for them!! B
-
I had to look that up, and when I did... B
-
I'm thinking so... B

Check the wire connections at the starter, the battery terminals and the ground points. Don't just look, remove, clean and reconnect then hook up a volt meter to the battery. Record the charge, and tryuto start the truck while watching the gauge. How does the starter respond and how much voltage drop do you have?? I'm guessing battery, connections or wires themselves. B
-
Agreed with everything said so far. By far, the most important factors are tire type/quality/condition and your driving style. Pathfinders are excellent for winter conditions... B
-
Not to mention he is well insulated. Mukluks and such... B

Fair enough... Yes, being able to hand the header/gasket on studs should be easier, but I don't see that it should be that hard. I'll definitely share my experiences... It doesn't look like I'll get started until next week though, too much going on this weekend. B

Yes, the bolts are for flange connections, not manifold mounts. Ok, but why?? B
