  1. Crap!! 75+ and sunny here... Not rubb9ing it in, just pointing out how odd it is. As a sidewalk mechanic myself, I pay close attention to the weather too... Good Luck. B
  2. There was a thread like this not too long ago and it was pretty much agreed upon to be a scam, but I have no personal experience with them. B
  3. Ok, just got back from errands. I'm glad you got it now, you are welcome. Yeah, it would seem weird it weeping fluid, but if you stand back and look at it, there is no place it could come from, as in from the tranny. Better safe than sorry though!! B
  4. Ok, here are some pictures to make sure we are talking about the same thing. This should be clear for reference And this one shows the location of both bolt heads... The picture you posted looks like the end of a bell housing bolt from the other side. Did you twist the end off or are you just looking at the wrong thing? Hopefully this settles it?? B
  5. I looked at mine but could only see the top bolt without a mirror. Yes, it will be a through hole in the tranny housing and thread into the starter. Again, with the other bolt removed can you move the starter at all? If so, try pulling the starter straight forward to draw the broken bolt through the tranny hole. It looks like a couple of inches will do it. B
  6. Ok, if it threads into the starter, and the other bolt has been removed, can you pull the starter straight out (towards the front of the truck)? *hopes* I'll go look at mine in a few minutes. You need to host the photo from a site like photobucket.com and post the address using the [/img] tags. B
  7. I'm backing up Dave on this one... B
  8. Carefully. Is the starter off and is there any length of the bolt protruding?? How much? Is it rusted/corroded?? In a perfect world, all you do is grab the bolt with pliers/vice grips and unscrew it, but I don't think that will be the case. Apply some penetrating oil on the bolt where it enters the threaded hole. Can you take a picture to show exactly what we are dealing with? B
  9. Makes sense, but I have to point 1 thing out... I'll bet that 75%+ of members here have broken that. I was tickled pink with my 14 year old/160,000 'new' purchase... Just having fun, world like to be able to afford a true new car. B
  10. That's a pretty strong warranty. Is it to counter consumer hesitancy, or just because they are really that reliable? B
  11. I honestly don't have any experience, but my gut instinct is #2. But do actually purchase something... B
  12. If you want to try to find rhyme or reason to the gearing, well, I already tried that for the WD21... http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=20182&view=&hl=gear&fromsearch=1 B
  13. Depending on what wheels are acceptable to you, summit racing had/has black steel wheels on sale for $40 each with a $15 handling charge. 5 rims to your door for under $220... B
  14. My old D720 did exactly the same thing for the 10 years I had it. It was never an issue and I never had to so much as replace a bulb. I ignored it... B
  15. You have rubber isolators on the bottom?? Mine are only on the top... Here is everything you ever wanted to know about springs... http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=18&st=0 B
  16. I'm farking bored at work and trying to make time go by... B
  17. What do you mean by jumping out? Does the shifter physically move forward and disengage, or is it internal where you suddenly feel like you are in neutral? B
  18. Yes, you need a gasket, but some people (GrimGreg IIRC) just used permatex copper. I'd go with the gasket or both. The hardware sounds fine, it really isn't that critical. Don't overtorque (it bends the flanges) and you can always go tighter later. B
  19. Good info, but I think he is refering to simply swapping in a working autotranny. I have not done this myself, but you should get the transmission computer along with the auto tranny if possible. The closer to the same manufacturer date, the less likely it is an issue, I presume. An auto tranny from a 2 door can be problematical as the sensors/connectors are not the same (ecu is different?)?? sc88pathy has a thread on this. The 94-95 have electronic speedos, not cable driven. I'm not sure where the VSS is located, but if it is in the tranny, that could be an issue also. B
  20. Exactly. Sealing the old ports can be done with a pipe fitting plug IIRC, Dr Bill did that in his thread. I used used a couple of short sections of rubber tube clamped on them and a dowel pin stuck in the end. B
  21. Good that you can notice the difference!! As for the tranny cooler info, there are several threads on them, some quite recent. Search my friend, that's what I would have to do myself... B
  22. Base the opinion of a nation wide chain of stores on the impression made by one store in Canadia? No thanks!! More like Canadian Napa employees are jerks to Adam... B
