That's where I bought my 31"x10.5 BFG MT KM2 for $169 each, $15 for mount, balance, and life time balance and rotation. I brought them 5 new rims and they had my tires mounted in an hour. I believe they also do free flat repair, for anyone... I haven't called them on their warranties or anything, but so far I'm impressed with them. FYI Firestone is open here on Sunday. B

America's tire store had them on the shelf (I see there are plenty in your area) for $20. Good quality Gorilla brand with the sleeve over socket type key, not the wobbly end pattern style. Kragen and autozone only had crap if they had anything at all. Just throwing that out there... B

This I understand, I have been forced there before this particular incident. There is always something(s) helpful and/or I have forgotten or not considered, but yeah, there is a fair share of cringing, wincing and flinching too... It's all good. B

I believe you have some importers in your (state) area that should have JDM trannys and motors for reasonable prices. The next desirable is to buy one from a reliable source, ie site member, etc, or buying a parts car where someone was in an accident/rust/broke a timing belt can be a good find and the last is a wrecker where it is hit and miss on what you get. I know that one member is selling an auto tranny (look in the For Sale section) and I know Kingman has one laying around, but it is out of a 2 door so it may not work. There have been several threads about what trannys are used for what years, one was by sc88pathy. Also, it is desirable to get the tranny ecu along with the tranny as there can be some differences. I have searched but could not readily find the stud thread and length for the exhaust manifolds. I'll keep looking, but if someone knows, I'd appreciate it. There is no way in hell I'll pay the $80-120 I've seen from others for studs, washers and nuts. That is farking insane for fasteners. I got 20 10.9 grade M6x35mm socket head cap screws for aprox $4 for my manual hubs and now I'll pay something like $15 for the right cap screws and lock washers, once I know the correct size... That said, the same place set me up with the 2 grade 8 1/2-13x6" bolts, nuts and washers (used in the rear for a body lift) for $12 or so. I have a good source of hardware locally... B

Have them and decide if you want/need to install them when you get there. My passenger side cam seal was leaking slightly so I replaced both and the crank seal just because. They are not hard to install if you know what you are doing. No leaks so far... Like I said, at least have them, you can always return them. B

Before you go to far with it, check to make sure your front drive shjaft turns when you are moving in 4x4... B

I replaced the notorious compression rod (aka strut rod) bushings with PE ones, Rough Country UCAs with PE bushings, all 4 tie rods, and installed a HooHaa (grassroots4x4) centerlink. The PO replaced 2 of the ball joints (can't remember which ones) so all that hasn't been replaced is one set of ball joints and the LCA bushings. I was going to install an idler arm brace, but the Calmini unit wouldn't even bolt up. I have the rebuild parts for the idler arm, but it didn't need it yet; I set them aside. A life time alignment at Firestone and it was about $700 to redo almost everything. I'm just in the process of grinding down the washers to the centerlink so the castle nuts will line up with the cotter pin holes when torqued correctly. The only issue I have had (other than removing the pitman arm) is that to line up the nuts properly, I had to overtorque the spherical bearings. binding them. Thanks for the offer, but I should be set for years. Yeah, I ordered two also, not realizing they came in sets. Good thing Steevo only had one set in stock... B

LOL Yeah, I've had my share of... 'challenges'... The timing belt, etc job went rather smoothly other than taking a long time. No leaks and everything correct first try. So far, of course. Perhaps I just jinxed myself... That's what I figured. I might take off 1/2 an inch one of these lunch breaks just to get the bushings to seat more flush... Thanks. B

Well, all 3 people I know have spoken out, if there are more, now is the time to do so. No insult taken, but no member of the staff gets to 'fark people over and get away with it'. I'll go ahead and say it here before I make an announcement, but Vengeful (Dan C) is no longer a member of the NPORA staff. He has been demoted to member and emailed, so hopefully he will respond and square things up. Yes, he was a Mod when he set up these deals but he is no longer and his handling of them is the primary reason. We'll continue to weed out the ones with undesirable methods. I don't personally have the power to collect from Dan although I may have an alternative method of contact. If nothing shakes out in the next week or two, I'll see what I can do. Sorry folks, but internet business is just that. Try to know the person or have some recourse. I personally ship parts first and request payment upon receipt, it's worked so far... B

This is the third time I have personally been involved in a case like this with Dan, which makes me wonder what 'normal' behavior is, and how many times it has occurred before and not been publicized. I agree with Red and Pezzy, but find it a bit more than 'embarrassing'. I know he seems to have disappeared abruptly and hope all is ok with him, but this type of behavior is unjustified. I'm sure I could find him if necessary, but I'd prefer to keep that avenue in reserve. Pezzy, let us know if you can get him on the horn, please?? B

Do you have a wife or GF stuffed under the hood?? Just checking... The tensioner pully (AC?) is a source of noise but wonder why by the name?? It is not expensive, IIRC you can disassemble the unit and just replace the bearing pack. To check if it is that unit, start the truck and then spray some WD-40 or silicone spray into it to see if it quiets down for a bit. Be careful of the moving belts, spinning fan and general overspray though... Can't hurt to check the For Sale section, or post in the 'Parts Wanted' B
