What's the gap on those +2's and +4's...

What's so different about the GL-5 that makes it screw up the MT?

I'm the current high bidder...sorry.

Just a quick word of advice... Stay as far away from PHORD as you can... They're making @!*%tier and @!*%tier vehicals every day all day long... They are however good for impressing co-workers and about 20,000 miles.

Nice write-up... I'm going to be in the market for one soon so this topic is great.. Please keep the reviews coming... I'll be looking on ebay for one unless someone has a better source.

I had a similar problem with my 95. Turns out all I had to do was take the switches out of the door, take'em apart so I could get to the contact points. Then I just wrapped some sandpaper around a butter knife and shined them up real nice... No more problems outa the windows after that... I don't know if this is like your problem, but it could be worth it to check it out... For me it saved me big $$$. I was about to buy a new master switch, but the fix ended up costing about .35cents worth in sandpaper.

Back in the day (when I was about 16) I had a toyota starlet dune buggy. I had some sweet aluminum racing mags on it. They worked out great, but when I put new brake pads on I couldn't move the car... Turns out the pads being thicker because they were new where now being squeezed between the mag and the rotor. We came up with a quick solution... We had to loosen the lug nuts so the car would go without power braking. Then we would drive it for about 200yrds till the grinding got quieter, then get out and tighten the lugs a little more. The metal on the calipers ground down those aluminum mags pretty easy. We did do it as safe as we could being teenagers... Ohhh that car was alot of fun... It would pop a wheely or do donuts anywhere anytime... It wasn't street legal but I drove it to school and everywhere else till I rolled it 3-4 times(still not sure which it was )on the beach jumping wooopty doos at about 40mph... sssh don't tell my mom what really happened...

I like the idea, but I don't think I'd like the tanks in the back of the truck. Where can you get'em refilled? I have NG running to my house. Is there anything I could buy so I could refill my own tank??? What's with the color of the tanks??? Is that a law or something? PS: Thanks for posting this, very good alternative to gas.

I have a friend who turned a 4x2 fronty into a 4x4, but with the R50 I think you'll be biting off more than it's worth to have to chew... (No offence intended to R50 owners. -argue- )Instead maybe look into spending that $4000-5000 on a early model 4x4 pathy... That's what they're selling for around here for the 93-95models, and 93-95 4runners are more around the $7000-9000 range...

I've been looking at the Bosch Platinum 4's... Or maybe NGK's... I want the most bang for my buck, and at about $6 apiece they need to be the best. Or I could just grab the Autolites for $1.39... :o So throw in some thoughts on new plugs now that I know about the nifty little bag under the back seat..

Don't forget... If you smack your steel wheel on a rock :o it'll just bend, and you can always bend it back... We all know what would happen with aluminum wheels in that situation... :X

The air assist would be cool too, but I was talking about replacing the springs and t-bars with air bags... Is that what you had in mind skrillaguerilla? I'm using IE with a crapola state of the art flatscreen monitor. I'm not sure what the res is, but I've heard if you try to change it with this kind of monitor it won't work.

That's too cool. Most Insurance companies I've had to mess with go out of their way to try and give you the shaft... :contract:

Looks like the dude in your AV forgot to comb his hair after a ride.

Looks really good... Did they replace everything that was messed up, or just "fix" it??? However it was done it looks perfect... They even fixed the brushgaurd.

I thought wider was better for snow?

I have often thought about using air bags like 18 wheelers have. Only smaller. They'll hold up to just about any weight and I bet they'd be nice and soft... Not to mention you could pump extra air into'em for a couple of extra inches of ground clearance. Is it just my computer or does skrillaguerilla's sig make everyone's page too wide where you have to scroll to the right to finish reading??? No problems, just wondering...

First I've heard about it... Makes since tho. If/When you change the tranny fluid on an A/T you're really only changing a little over half the actual fluid. The rest of the fluid is in your torque converter.

Yep, You hooked it up right... The low(blue cap) side is smaller than the high pressure side, so you can't get it wrong unless you try real hard. Kinda like how you can't put a diesel nossle into the gas tank on a car.

That kinda looks like an AC Delco commercial... I really like the first bar graph... 96% all the way up to 100%... :o I bet that graph wouldn't look the same if someone who didn't have AC Delco money in their pocket would have done those test. PS: Buy more AC Delco products, they ARE made from solid gold.

Kinda made me feel like I missed out on $50 and having the ol' pathy featured in a 4x4 mag. I know my pics are better, I just missed the boat.

Cool, That was from a night run... Funny thing was, I was too scared to run that trail in the daytime. I bet that's close to 45degs, plus the wall is just outside the window. Kinda like running over a yugo to get your bigmac at McD's drive thru window.

I don't have my scanner hooked up right now and I can't find a pic on the fourwheeler.com website... Anyone else seen the pic yet???
