  1. Noice! I also changed mine a bit... This got me thinking. Didn't NX4 have a strut tower brace listed on the site?
  2. Looks good! What are you running up front for coils?
  3. A strut tower brace would probably be good for us unibody-ridin' goons. And it's still road legal.
  4. That's the point he was trying to make in the article. The difference is pretty much negligible.
  5. An interesting write-up about electric fans. Worth a read! The Myth of The Electric Fan
  6. I'm waiting on those, too. Plus the adjustable panhard rod.
  7. I think I speak for us all when I say that's not an issue.
  8. For the quarter panels you'll want to consider welding, for the reason nunya just pointed out. As for the fenders up front, you could source cheap ones and get 'em painted.
  9. Thanks for the info. I think I may just kaibosh the custom front coils and try running a set of HD coils and hope for the best...
  10. And the ECU from the '95 WD21 differs significantly from that of the '97 R50.
  11. I think for the 5.5" lift coils everything's good to go. I'll ask him if he can use the same information from your coils. Thanks I thought the OME HD (#928 coils) provide 1.75" of lift...? I guess with settling 1.5" seems about right. Are these also the coils you're running up front?
  12. There is nothing better out there at this moment in time. I've heard good things about the Old Man Emu struts but they're on par with KYB.
  13. Exactly. Considering how hot the import industry has been these last 10 years, it's no surprise to see forced induction kits costing well over $2,000. Do your research, however, and you can find great deals.
  14. Because the only mods that ever came for the R50 were of the JDM type, and 95% of those mods are for the turbo diesel anyway... Sadly, the North American R50 got overlooked. Luckily, with the amount of R50 owners on here, it's helping to create some ample exposure to aftermarket ideas, i.e. subframe drops, custom armour, etc. Performance stuffies for the VG33E are still hard to find, though. This V-Force Plus module seems to have some potential so it's really a matter of one person getting their feet wet to see how it works for our vehicles specifically. I'm about 75% convinced it could be a worthy add-on and permitting certain things go according to plan, I may buy a kit before the end of this month. I'll keep you all posted on that.
  15. The steering on the R50 couldn't get any tighter. It's pretty much car steering (rack & pinion like 180sx said) so there's no need to upgrade anything. I'd be more inclined to upgrade tie rods, if anything. And even that isn't necessary.
  16. Yup, what 180sx said. May I ask why you'd even consider that?
  17. I may be guinea pig in that case, knowing how impatient I can be... Let's make it a race!
  18. Very nice work. Can't wait to see the finished product!
  19. I'm trying to get a hold of this Kevin at coilsprings.com... But haven't heard from the guy regarding custom coils. Last I heard from him, he wanted me to send a pair of front OEM coils in for "calibration and testing". Did anyone else get this request? All I want are 1.5"+ coils at 160#/pr for the front and 5.5"+ coils at 160#/pr for the rear...
  20. Xterra suspension will not work on the R50; it uses a different set-up.
