If you have a 94 like your profile says, you should use 80w-90 I believe. I used amsoil 75w-90 since that was what was available and it's some pretty damn good stuff.

I would research. I didn't think BMW made an all wheel drive car during that time.
  3. I got Mt90 and it works fine. The only problems with shifting are that I suck at driving a stick!
  4. I use the Amsoil dual remote. It's a filter relocation kit witha bypass filter too. When I get it back, I'll post a pic or two. If you think those ford filters are huge, wait till you see these!
  5. Why not send them out to get the Jet Hot coating? I hear it's better than ceramic.
  6. My manual states 5W-30 and that's what I use. Plus, 5W-30 is considered an energy conserving oil, so you are "supposed" to get better gas mileage. I don' tknow of a 40 weight that is considered energy conserving.
  7. I have the Amsoil BMK-13. It is a bypass filter and relocation kit at the same time.
  8. The manual trans had the filler hole too low. To get around this, you can either tip the truck or fill through the shifter. You want a GL4 transmission oil. Make sure it is NOT a GL5. I used Redline MT-90. As for the transfer case, you can use ATF. I used Amsoil ATF in mine.
  9. I would recommend buying a dell with a 3 year warranty for 400 - 500 bucks. Building one is a pain because you must support it yourself. Buying one from CompUSA and getting their warranty is a hassle. Trust me. I work there part time! I would recommend norton anti-virus only. I don't like the all-in-one stuff, but to me their anti-virus works great. And it is easy to use too. As for a firewall, I just use the built in XP firewall and I have a firewall/router for cable. I also use microsoft defender, spybot and ad-aware. All are free! Spysweeper is pretty good, but you have to pay for it. And if you really really really want to be safe, make your account a regular user account instead of an admin and create an admin account and make sure you set a password on it. Also set a password on the builtin admin account. I go everywhere on the internet and my norton catches everything (I do use the corporate version though). Oh, a second popup stopper is good too. What one doesn't catch, the other does. I use popup stopper free edition from www.panicware.com Hope this helps!
  10. WIX are good too. Forgot about that one. I pathy has 194500 miles on it, however the engine only has about 10k. Other than the oil that came in the engine, I have used synth. And, the regular oil was only in for 1200 - 1300 miles before I switched. I want to change all the other fluids again soon since we didn't flush, we just drained and filled.
  11. Don't buy Fram. get a Mobil1, Amsoil or K&N filter. I've never heard that Synthetic is bad for stop and go. I drive in a lot of stop and go and have synthetic all around. Transfer case, Front and Rear diffs, trans, engine, etc... I would think that Synthetic could handle the stop and go a lot better than regular oil and the associated heat produced with stop and go. All I'll ever use now is synth. I even use it in my dads 84 diesel Volvo.
  12. I can honestly say that when I put my SS on I didn't notice a difference, but I think that is because I have to much play in the front end due to the lift and I also may need an alignment. However, I wouldn't take it off. It's real cheap to get and I bet once I get my stuff straightened out, it will be awesome.
  13. Has anybody purchased the AC lift for the 90-95 pathfinder? I received it today and I received 2 larger black bolts. The picture shows 4. Should I be worried? I don't know what more than half of that stuff is. Thank god I'm not the one installing it.
  14. 280 Miles to a tank? Man, IF i do ALL highway, I can get maybe 320 - 340. And that's with mods out the a$$. Jim Wolf POP charger, new engine, Headers, high flow cat and new o2 sensors, borla exhaust, electric fan, synthetic oil. These trucks weren't made to get 20+ miles a gallon. Sorry this reply wasn't really helpful. I just got done taking a midterm and I'm beat to SH!T.

They make a POP charger for the 95's. Look under Trucks instead of Pathfinder. I have one. I don't remeber the part number off hand though...
  17. Everything is relatively new. All the belts, clutch, water pump, etc... were put in when I got the new engine at 184440, and I now have 193, 883. I'll check. It's hard to hear where it's coming from while in the car. At first I didn't even think it was my car.
  18. Tonight, as I was on my way home from playing a wedding I noticed a squeel from my pathy. I couldn't figure it out, but the last time it did it, I was downshifting from 4th to 3rd. FYI, I have a manual trans. Any ideas?
  19. I believe the AC 3 icnh body lift comes with a transfer case extension. Does this mean that it takes care of the problem with the shifter being to short? Do, I don't have to get a HB shifter?
  20. I also use Amsoil. I was using M1 but I signed up for the Amsoil preffered customer deal and get 15% - 20% off all purchases. When I get around to it and find space, I'm putting in the Amsoil remote filter kit with the bypass filter. Right now, I have a M1 filter in there. Even though Amsoil says 25k miles, I'm still gonna change it every 5. I also made the switch to Amsoil in my S4. I was also using M1 there. I do use a M1 filter because Amsoil doesn't make one for the S4 yet. I may have said this already in a previous post, but my dad made the switch to Amsoil oil, oil filter and air filter and noticed a huge increase in highway mileage in his explorer. When he went out to Tenn. he was getting like 14 - 15 MPG now he is getting 20 - 21.
  21. I don't know what you are talking about. Mine has plenty of power :-) Now, if I only had my cams installed. And maybe a new ECU! I let my friend drive it. He drifts with his 240. He said it feels like it has 200hp. I really doubt I got that much, but hey it makes me feel good! Now, I can't wait to get my S4 back so I can put my new bilstein PSS9 coilovers in. Oh Man!!!!!
  22. So, I finally got some news about my pathfinder. It seems that the distributor is shot. They reset the timing and drove it around and when they checked the timing again, it was off. So, they are looking to get a replacement. They are also looking into the knock sensor.
