  1. When I get my new stereo installed, I'm gonn have the doors dynomat'ed and probably have the floors and possibly the firewall done. Plus, I think when I get my weather stripping fixed, that will clear up a lot of the problem.
  2. On a different note, I ordered my SliderZ yesterday. I got the 4crawler Ultimate extra wide with the POR 15 and black top coat with gray tape and 1" kickouts in the front and rear. YAY! Another 605 down the drain.
  3. I get to much road noise to notice how loud the engine is.
  4. I say around 3000 and up it gets really really loud. Plus, I have the headers and borla exhaust. Makes it rumble even more.
  5. Well, the hottest part is where it bolts to the heads and they still have the coating. I looks to me like the whole pipe was no coated or they did a crappy job. I'll either email them or call them when I get a chance. By the way, I only have 1100 miles on them. I just emailed them. We'll see what they have to say.
  6. Here is probably the best pic of what I am talking about with the ceramic coating. Notice where the coating changes from where it connects to the heads and then the pipe.
  7. I'm drooling all over myself here at work!
  8. I haven't found anywhere that says that you NEED to upgrade the ECU. 87 octane is regular, at least around me. I haven't had my new ones installed yet so I'm not sure what it will run like on 87. The LAST thing I am going to do, if I do it, is get my ECU upgraded. I also have read anything about killing the O2 sensors. Anybody else have any info?
  9. I have the susp lift and no problems that I know of. When I get a chance, I'll get underneath and try to see if anything is close. If I remember, something with the trans was rather close, but didn't hit.
  10. I'll try and get those pics up in a day or two. I haven't had the chance to be outside with the Beast during the day except while driving to work. When I get home, it's way dark and this weekend it was snowing crazy.
  11. Welcome. I was just in VA 2 weeks ago in Centreville. I have named mine "THE BEAST" Everyone will say "Tune Up". If you can install an exhaust yourself, more power to you. I have yet to change my own oil. That is coming soon though. My advice is to save money, and get what you want instead of settling for something that is ALMOST what you want.
  12. Last night was the first night that I was able to drive the pathy in the snow with my 4 wheel drive working. I have the Bridgestone AT Revo's and I was not impressed. I was hoping that they would be as good as their ratings say in the snow. However, the fac tthat I have almost no weight in the back might have something to do with it. Right now, my S4 with 4 snow tires is doing better.
  13. I got mine for 2500 with a 3 year warranty but had to return the old engine.
  14. That's one nice site. I just learned a lot. I'll have to find someway of downloading it. Once interesting thing I did notice is that it said GL-4 or GL-5 for the manual trans.
  15. I'm 2 days older than you! Nice truck! Hopefully I'll have some nice pics that are worth looking at. Just dropped my beast of at the Body Shop.

    Accident

Glad you are ok man. Ice is a scary thing!
  17. I live 5 miles from Morristown
  18. I can't get to that link now. I'll try again later. I live in Jersey. It can be as hot as 110 in the summer but right now it is around 30. I plan to do some off-roading as soon as I finish up with the body shop and get my steering system. I don't know about this new enigne, but with the old one when I was on the highway with the AC on, I remember having the engine temp above half almost to the 3/4 mark. I'll have the new shop look and see if they can get that taurus fan. I'm also gonna have them look at all my bushings. I know that I had the upper control arms done, but I'm not sure what that"other" mechanic changed.
  19. Well, I went to inspection on Saturday and failed!!! The lights for the license plate are out! When I looked, it's all rusted out. I'm taking her into the body shop on friday for all the little things. I have a question for all you ceramic coated Thorley header owners? Did the finish come off rather quickly? When I look at mine, where it connects to the head, it is still shiney, but about an inch and a half after it looks different. I'll take a pic and post what I am taking about. I also may call them and ask.

    Oil Cooler

Now that I have the new eingine, do yo uthink I should get an oil cooler? I will be running synthetic from now on, which I always did before. I still want to run a filter relocation kit. Will there be a problem running both a cooler and a relocation kit? Also, does anyone have any suggestions as to which electric fan I should get? AC has a few. Are any of them good? I'm not a big fan of theirs after reading all the sh!t about them, but something I need to look at the convenience factor too. Ti's all right there and I don't have to spend much time looking. I will be getting my body lift from them and most likely my rear rotors since they offer slotted rotors that are also drums.
  21. I think what looks to be a 0 is really an 8, but the line in it makes it hard to see.
  22. From what I understand, NAPA makes some pretty hard core tierods and ball joints. I was thinking about getting their lower ball joints for my truck.
