I have an email from Thorley on the differences. I'll see if I can dig it up. The main difference though is the Ceramic will hold the heat in the pipe better allowing for faster exhuast velocity where as the non ceramic will allow the heat to escape.

Has anybody used the DirectHits system yet?

Did you notice any difference after you went with this setup? Also, stupid question, but the color of the wires don't matter right? Also, which plugs did you go with? For $300, I'll go for another 10hp.

I have one though. I got mine through Mothers in Rockaway for $400. Most people have theirs custom built which is most likely cheaper even after you add in labor, but I got my exhaust installed for free. If you have a 2wd pathy, I would say to get some snow tires. I have the AT Revo's and when my 4wd wasn't working, I was stuck in my driveways sideways! Haven't had a chance to try the revos with my 4wd drive yet. I put snows on my S4 which has all-wheel drive and it's amazing. I went from max performance tires to snow. With the max perf. even with all-wheel I couldn't control it.

Well, my dad stopped by on Saturday and he tol him that I would be ready to start and drive today. Well, he never called. My dad went by and it's still not done. Looks like a bracket and maybe the rest of the injectors are on, but that's it. So, I call and left him a message that my lawyer will be filing the injunction tomorrow. I also said that "You told me it would be done by Thursday and I gave you until Monday and it's still not done". We'll see if he calls me back.

UPDATE: He came and got the car on Friday and we worked it out where I would get it today. Well needless to say, I didn't get it today. However, he has been busting his arse working on this thing. he has been sandblasting parts and painting all of the paintable stuff. He cleaned one set of injectors and was about to start working on the other set. he showed me my PCV valve, which was just put in 14k miles ago was filled with carbon. Headers are all bolted up. Front Diff has been filled. Transfer case, rear diff, trans and clutch still need to be changed. All in all, I think he finally realized that I'm not messing around and that it should be another couple of solid days before it's ready. We will see!

After the $114 I spent it better work! :-) I just want the damn thing back and since he has to refill the front diff, I guess it would be easier for him to do the rest too. If he says no, there is always STS right down the road from my house. By the way, thanks for all the tips and advice from all of you!

When I get it back, I'm gonna have a REAL shop look at it and tell me what to order as far as high flow cats go and I'll go with them to install it. No more dic#ing around. I leave for Florida on the 5th, so I'm taking it to the bodyshop to have the hole in the frame fixed while I'm gone. I do IT work for them, so they should do me right. Heck, when I had the issue with my S4 and the lock, they gave me the lock for their cost and installed it for free!

I didn't oil and linkages. I don't even know what they are. :-) I got the Redline MT-90 which is 75W-90 GL4. I saw somebody use it on Mr Jim's page and he liked it. So, we'll see. I hope it works well. They say that I don't need the LSD additive with the Amsoil GL5, but I'm getting some just incase. Rather be safe than sorry.

Well, since my radiator isn't in, that's a given. My front diff was disconnected to get the oil pan out so it's empty right now. I'm have a shifting issue when I pull the stick back, it doesn't glad perfectly free. It would sometimes get stuck, but it's hard to explain. Not stuck where I can't move it, just not gliding smoothly. We are hoping that this flush will fix that issue or else I am going to need my trans rebuilt. The rest is just routine maintenence since I'm not sure when it was done last if it was ever done.

Ok. I just ordered redline MT-90 for the trans. Amsoil 75W-90 GL5 for the front and rear diff. Amsoil ATF for transfer case and some brand DOT 3 for the clutch. Gave me a good deal on all of it. I can't complain. $13.50 list for the red line. I'm paying $10.99. $11.00 list for the ATF. I'm paying $7.25 $11.20 list for the GL5. I'm paying $7.50 $8.00 list for the DOT 3. I'm paying $4.50

So, an LSD additive is ok in the front? I found the manual online, but it gives me pints and liters. I can't convert! :-) Also, it has a bunch of different versions for the front and back. So, I'm going with the largest amount, this way I have enough and maybe some to spare.

Ok, I have some stupid questions. I need to pick up some fluids today. The front diff uses just regular GL-5 without the LSD additive right? Can GL-5 with the LSD additive be used in a non LSD Diff? I don't think or know if the front is an LSD. I would assume it isn't, but yes, I can be an ID10T. Also, what are the capacities of the front diff, rear diff, transfer case and clutch? I don't have my manual in front of me. I did write down the specs but knew I was forgetting something. The capacities are my biggest concern. I know the oil is 3 5/8th's with the filter and that the trans is 5.1 liters. I just don't know what the others are.

Well, here is the quick rundown that happened thursday night and friday. He got bad, told me to come and get it. I showed up with a flat bed, he told the flat bed it wasn't ready to be towed. He came to my house as I went to his house on Friday to get pictures of the cars and license plates in his driveway that do not belong to him. As I was leaving he pulled up. We had some words, I told him that my lawyer will have a field day with him and his parents and the next thing I know he is at my house saying he doeasn't want to have to deal with all the crap and he promises to have it by Friday. I changed it and made it thursday and he swore infront of a COP that he would have it for me thursday night. If not, the injunction is getting filled FRiday morning! That's the quick version

Umm... I have no idea what that means. I know it's a 1995 but that is all I know. If I need to order 2, then I need to get dimension for both, etc...

Well, my mechanic just told me that I have 2 cats? Is this true? If so, would anyone know the dimensions of them? When I went to the local performance shop, the asked me the in and out diameter, length and whether or not it had a a tube for the oxygen sensor.

After I get the truck back, I'll post his addy and phone #. I wrote him checks, so there is proof that he was paid for work. Also, no that it matters, but my father gave him $400 cash, but photocopied the bills. I already tried pushing it in the street, but it's an auto and I wasn't able to break the steering column loose without breaking the whole thing.
