I never measured the actual amount of lift. I used the Calmini springs. I have the front maxed out to match the back, however I don't have the rear tire carrier on at the moment. When I do put it back on, I may be able to lower the front a little.

I just bought new spindles because they were shot when I took them out. Not to expensive at all for two of them.
-
I doubt they will fit, but you never know. They are for a 98 - 04 Ranger . You can try to email info@allshocks.com and see if they will help you. Since you aren't looking to purchase new shocks, they probably will not, but it's worth a shot. Sorry I couldn't find anything else.

I paid $2.29 for V-Power on Sunday. My Audi takes 93. But the same place had 87 for $2.09. A no-name place also in my town has super for $2.39. It's weird when a no-name is more expensive than Shell or other name brands.

I think I am going to buy the Calmini steering package soon and probably have a shop do it instead of my dependable mechanic. There is also the possibility that I may be brave and tackle it myself, with help of course.

By another HD and make it Raid 0. I have 2 Hitachi 160's with an adaptec Raid 0 card. I'm buying 2 more of the hitachi's and buying the Adaptec Raid 5 2400A. Oh, Mine is a P4 3.0HT w/800MHz bus. Gb NIC, both drives are in removable cases incase they go bad. Makes it easier to get to. Audigy 2 LS, Yamaha 44X CD-RW w/DiscT@2, 1Gb of Dual channel DDR 400. CompUSA, which I work part time at, has the Sony Dual layer DVD writer for 89.99 after rebate. I may pick one up. This is just a hold me over PC till I can build my Dual Xeon.

If it's not done by Weds, I'm just gonna go get it. As for the Lawyer, it won't do any good. It's not a shop, it's a 44 year old guy who does this out of his parents house and is more of an Illegitimate business. Now, the guys is great mechanic. He does awesome work and has a great deal of knowledge. Ne's not lazy. He is always working one somebody's car, it's just that that somebody's car is not mine. I would show up one day, and he's doing breaks on some POS. The next time, he has a Montero's dash apart and so on. It's just me getting to shaft right up the stink dot. I have paid him for the new rods and for his guy to put them on but I'm gonna have to raise hell. Unfortunately, he isn't a guy you can yell and and he'll work faster. It just doesn't do any good. He just yells back and nothing gets accomplished -

I'm over there at least once a week and get all teh same excuses. My father was there last night and he said, I can have them out on Monday. Now, if my memory serves me correctly, he's been saying Monday everytime I'm there. "Oh, I'm taking out this Monday". I'm starting to get the Monday Blues!!! -

It's now 5 months, and I still haven't gotten my truck back!!!!!! Nothing has been done since I bought the heads, cams, etc... I've been waiting 3 months for the pistons to come out and have new rods put on. Since when does it take 3 months to take pistons out????????????????????????? And to top it off, some guy hit my S4 in the same spot I just got fixed from the last accident! I should sell both cars and get a SCION! -
Look at Borla's site. They have the Cat-back for $285. I paid $400 when I got mine. http://www.borla.com/applications/lookup.a...k_System/14373/

I would have to find it, but when I bought my truck from the previous owner I had a notice from Nissan about the recall and that it was good up to 100k miles.

I have the Bridgestone Dueler AT Revo's. Although I haven't used them to offroad yet, they are great on the highway. My 2nd choice were the BFG's.

KILLVOX, where are you from in Jersey? I live in Rockaway, which is really really close to where JerseyPathy lives.
-
You can also use Marvel Mystery Oil. Worked wonders for my truck when I had no oil pressure because of so much carbon build-up. If I remember, you replace a quart of oil with a quart of MMO.
-
Northern Jersey. About 30 minutes from both NY and PA.
-
Since when does a cat-back come with a CAT? No exhaust that I have ever looked at comes with a CAT. Even the exhausts for my S4 don't come with them. However, if I chose to buy new downpipes, the CAT is included.

M.M Do you happen to have a part # so I can order it?
-
M.M. After you put your headers on, did you find it easier to change your oil filter? Trying to save myself from getting a relocation kit if I don't have to. What are your thoughts? Rich
-
Don't feel bad. I ordered mine from summit on july 29th and got them near the end of october if not november. As soon as I get my heads in, my mechanic can start putting mine back together and I can hear what the headers sound like.
-
I have the same exhuast. I got it before I did the headers. I can't wait to see how she runs after all this work is done. I like the Borla. Nice throaty sound and rips in higher rpm's. Let us know how you like it.

I know that my mechanic measured one of the heads and said that it wasn't even on a couple of the sides. Now, what that means, I am not sure. The other one was taken to a head shop and they said that they could weld some aluminum but that would cost about the same and there was no guarantee. I haven't been able to find any aftermarket heads so I didn't go that route. As for the chip, thats sometime after the New Year when I start having money again. Still need to do all the other little things before then. I'm not sure what the timing issues or emission issues are going to be. That is something that I'll tackle when the time comes. I would assume that since I bought the cams from Jim Wolf, they would be able to account for the different timing, fuel, etc... The cams came in today but that doesn't do my any good since I won't have the heads until sometime next week and some of the hoses are still backordered. Will keep you posted. Rich -
Well, since my mechanic picked up my truck, we have been finding more and more wrong with it. It turns out that when the previous owner had the timing belt changed his mechanic had one of the cams misaligned which did more damage than we had previously thought. After going back and forth I decided to order the Jim Wolf S1 cams hoping to get a little more power than just the headers and exhaust would give me. Then, my mechanic called me to tell me that one cam was bent and that head was also shot. He was going to take the other head to a shop the next day to see if it was ok. Well, sure enough the other head was shot too. So, I didn't feel to bad ordering the performance cams but dishing out another $1000 for heads was not something I had in mind. The only good thing is that I have a friend who is the parts manager for the local Nissan dealership and I get stuff right above cost. So, I've only paid $3500 for the truck. To recap, I put the calmini lift on, a borla cat back, thorley ceramic coated headers getting installed as we speak, new auto hubs, bridgestone revo's, K&N drop in filter, rocker arms, lifters, cams, heads, hoses, timing belt, driver side sun visor, new rods, new strut arms, new spindles, rear axle seal, new headlight and fog lights, rancho steering stabilizer and all new bushings in the front end. I think that I have put almost double the amount in parts than I paid? Man, I must really like this truck. And I still want to change the intake, cat, chip, get the calmini steering kit and new speakers. Just thought I would let you guys know what I sucker I am. I also have a 2001 Audi S4. I'm almost afraid for the extended warranty to be up because I have huge plans for turning it into a track car. I need a better paying job!

I use IE for a couple of reasons. Built into the OS, been using it for years and a it's an app that I have to support at work.

I guess i still ahve some questions. Does anybody know the size of the stock cams? Also, which size then should I get? I have found: From AC's Site .425"/256 .430"/262 Jim Wolf's Site 440"/260 473"/266 Still need to pass inspection so, I would assume the first one? Maybe I'll give JWT a call tomorrow and talk to them.
