Well, I took a look at mine and the only place to grease it up is on top. There is some space between the idler arm and brace. I'm gonna take some pics. It looks like my tie rods are at a strange angle. I'm also gonna take it to a shop in NJ that does custom work and see what they can do or say about it. After that, I'm ordering the Calmini kit and will pray that it fixes the problem.

I think it is the idler arm. I have to go back under and look. Man, people look at me funny when I am turning the steering wheel.
-
Well, I;ve about had it with this L&P steering kit. It started squeeking again today. I had it oiled when it was installed and once again about 1 1/2 months ago. Now it's doing it again. Anybody interested in purchasing a L&P stage 3 kit?

Been on for almost 4 thousand miles.
-
I don't have pics, but I can take some. They are sitting right here all wrape dup in plastic to send back. Been here for over a year.
-
This may be a coincidence but my truck steers like SH!t since I got the Stage 3 kit intalled. It is all over the road and feels squirmy. Also, sometimes when you are turning, instead of it straightning out after you let go of the week, it stays turned. I'm gonna have a suspension shop in Fairfield, NJ take a look and see if they can find something. They just put Bilstein PSS9's in my S4 and it is freakin amazing!

For peace of mind, just get it done as soon as you can. I actually am about to drain and fill mine again. It only has 5k miles on the current MT-90 but this year it was almost impossible to shift in the 10 degree weather. Figure, what the hell. It doesn't hurt to make sure it is all flushed nice and clean.

Well, I have a set of them. They are not installed and I'm not even sure they are OK. I had them in when I was having my engine rebuilt and they guy who rebuilt it F'ed up the engine and it looks like those brand spankin new cams are all scored. I would say that they have less than 2 miles on them. There goes $600. Actually, they may be ok aside from looks. I never got around to sending them back to JW to look at.

I think you can get amsoil cheaper but I used Redline MT-90 because it was recommended and the specs actually looked better than Amsoil for this particular product. I agree with above too, you can mix but I wouldn't.

Did you drain and fill? Should be approx 5 quarts, not 2 or 2.4.

That's funny. I work for a company that only deals with Dell desktops and laptop. We have next to no issues whatsoever. I also build my own. I worked for CompUSA for almost 5 years. I've seen crap come in. HP, Compaq, eMachine, etc... All brands have their their own problems. Even Sony, Acer, and everything else you can think of. However, in all my years there HP and Compaq came in the most. With Emachines 2nd. We did service dell, however it was either out of warranty stuff or we delt with Dell for the customer, but they customer paid us for that. If you consider that in the past 2 1/2 years I've been at my company and the few Dell's that I've seen die I honestly think they are fine.

http://www.amsoil.com/storefront/bf.aspx Amsoil version of a relocation kit. You want the BMK-14. I have the BMK-13. It has a full flow filter and a by-pass filter. Amsoil is more expensive but I believe it's worth the money.

Me too.

Praise the lord. Somebody actually reads before responding Huh, people like me... please...

People like me? You don't even know me. Do you even know what I've gone through with this truck? Hrm... Let's see. $5000 in lost parts, 15 months of lost time, $15,000 worth of parts and labor in addition to the 5k lost. And now another $190? I've given him the benefit of the doubt. He even told me that it was already processed. I have this in a PM from him and yet when I called paypal they said it had not been. I think I have been patient, fair and understanding but when it comes to money and this truck I am tired of being f'ed over! These posts speak for themselves. If he had not screwed people over then their would not be any posts by people like me! Now, if he wants to make it right, then I am all for that. It shouldn't even be a case of want. It's the right thing to do. I would never do that to someone, ever! I don't like people playing with my money and I would never to that to someone else! If I seem pissed, it's because you made me pissed. Huh, people like me.

Dude, I've been waiting sinc November for my core refund. Do you really think after all this time that he is going to make good? If I lived closer, I would definately makre a trip to his place of residence.
-
Same here. Out $190! Just sent another email last night. Have you contacted PayPal again? You know, I wish he would just do the RIGHT thing. He complained about people bashing him all the time. I wonder why ???
-
Yeah I do. They checked it when they put the L&P kit on.

I noticed something last night. I think I have some sort of freak electrical problem. When I hit bumps, the like comes on saying that I have an open door. I went around and manually checked all of the buttons. Even when they are pushed in using my finger the light stayed on. When the light comes on, the overhead lights and the light under the dash comes on. I wonder if this is what happened and because it was light out I didn't notice. Mor eproblems. ARG...
-
Well my biggest problem is the bumpsteer. It seems worse now that I have the L&P kit installed where as the Calmini kit addresses this issue directly. Calmini didn't just beef up the centerlink, they redesigned it to work with lifts and fix the angles that the tierods are at.
-
Nope, not yet. The battery is atleast 4 years old. Probably older. I will have all that checked though. I want to make sure the alternator is ok.
-
Well, I started my pathy this morning and it didn't sound good but it did start. When I was going to lunch, it would not start at all. So, my boss gave me a jump and I went to Autozone to get a new Redtop. I got the 34/78. Pretty damn expensive though. I hope that is the only problem. On a side note, after I got my heater core replaced I noticed a crack in my windshield right where they ripped my inspection sticker. They said it was there before. I notice everything and it's not hidden but I can't argue since there is no way to prove it. So, now I must get a new windshield too.
-
Well, I may decide in the future to get the calmini product. If infact I do, I will most likely sell the L&P kit.

My transfer case uses ATF.

It started last week. I've had the system installed about 2 months. I think it is the idler arm. We oiled it today and it seems to be better. Just have to wait for the oil to fully soak in.
