  1. I've got a cargo net setup just like that, works great.. however i make sure all that is visible are cheap (tow strap, blankets, etc) because here at school they will smash a window for anything
  2. Those things are a lot of work. I started to do mine, but when I couldnt get a single bolt loose i abandoned the idea. I got a shop here to cut the bolts, pull the arms, press the bushings and reinstall the arms for 75 bucks. Not bad at all. Glad to hear you got it done, you will love the result.
  3. DJ - Mine is the same way, real weak A/C, cold yes, but not all that impressive. I dont know if something is wrong or not. I got one of the recharge kits and the pressue was in the right range sooo I dunno. A/C sucks.
  4. yea, warranty is 100K powertrain, and 60K bumper to bumper, mom got the extended warranty for 100K bumper to bumper. not bad.
  5. My mom has a Rodeo -- actually a very nice truck, was one of the few midsize/small suvs still on a ladder frame. Havent had any problems with it and still runs like new. I was looking at getting one, and was a day away from buying one till I test drove the pathy.
  6. Yea, I dont know if they have an ABS light, when I bought mine I had the very same question, alas I took it for a test drive, found a gravel parking lot and locked up the brakes. Yep, had ABS. eh, emissions. You just gotta know somebody. Very possible they had it tested while it was cold (cat not warm) I know my old BMW used to be very picky about that failed two times for the person who had it before me, so thats why they sold it and I just drove it around for an hour before the emission test and it passed, no problem.
  7. I should stop in to a weigh station next year... I will probably have a trailer since I will be bringing furniture. But I have never had a problem moving even packed to the ceiling. I have to downshift to get over the blue ridge and into the great plains, but thast about it.
  8. Looks strong. I wish I had taken pictures of my pathy on the way home from school this year... If I hit a dip in the road the mud flaps hit the ground... Can't wait till my AC lift gets in. Had 2 bikes, my skis, plus my kayak on the roof. all all my worldy possesions inside. Wow it was a scary drive, just glad I did the rear control arm bushings before hand.
  9. Mine is the same way, and it always has been. It was that way two years ago when I bought it, replaced the clutch and its the same. Jerky towards the tail end of the clutch under 1500 and if you shift real slow it grinds with the clutch in... Dunno what it is.
  10. DC traffic is hardcore.. moving back from school the pathy was loaded to the gills and trying to get down 495 in rush hour not being able to see was interesting with a 5 speed
  11. Defender 90 is definately my fav. LR
  12. google, because that way I don't mark all the posts as read everytime I open a browser window.
  13. no.. you can install an amp sub separately, bypassing the factory amp was done when i put in a new head unit so the speakers weren't double amplified.
  14. Be it BP, Amoco or Joes Gas n Bait.. it all costs the same here. And I get the same gas mileage..
  15. http://npora.ipbhost.com//index.php?showto...ol+arm+bushings
  16. I use Shell or Sunoco.. When gas was cheaper I went with Mid but I'm poor and the pathy drinks gas like I drink beer. Now I buy 87 because more money for gas = less money for beer. The tradeoff is clear.
  17. This is what I was talking about http://www2.4x4parts.com/ubbthreads/showfl...6&Number=109050 I have never seen this come up on this board, but its listed in the AC board's FAQ.... So nobody here has messed with this thing?
  18. The BOSE system utilizes amplifiers on the speakers themselves.. The Amps and speakers are BOSE, but the head unit that controls them is not.
  19. Mine does too.. And the tensioner is all the way out... I should replace those before my next road trip
  20. Advance Auto Parts has a free code reader that can A) read the codes and reset the light
  21. Installing an amp to power the subs is no problem. Bypassing the factory amp for the speakers is.. ehh it was doable. I just ran wires from pin to pin on the harness... I will run new speaker wire this summer.
  22. OK but you didnt do anything about the brake thing? Did anyone? -Is the shake only from 90-100km/h, or is it everything above that?
  23. I use a Pioneer Premier DEH-740 - plays MP3s and has the OEL display. I put in infinity 6.5" speakers and have a 10' sub in the back in a small Qlogic box. It's no ghetto blaster, but its good, clean, dound
