  1. Fellow Northern Virginian.. I tend to stear clear of NTB in general had nothing but bad luck with them. If all else fails, I've had good service at a good price from Brown's Nissan down there on Glebe Road. They may know the truck a little better. Mine too is shaking now after getting a balancing from Goodyear. But I am getting my lift installed this week so I will just wait till that is done to deal with it. GWNF eh? what day(s)?
  2. friggin hot. I will definately be replacing that. nice research.
  3. meh. I have the yakima fairing.. didnt change my mileage at all. I dont think the kayak and bike mounts sticking above it help much either.
  4. haha yea, that wouldn't be too attractive... agreed. Well looks like the hunt for crossbars continues.
  5. The rack does look good on your truck. Is there no way to modify the stock rack that came with your truck to make it work? Maybe even mount those cross bars in conjunction with the 02 rack? I went with the yakima rack stuff so I guess I can't offer too much, just kicking around ideas.
  6. -- I took my net down this weekend for our trip (bike actually took it down on its way in) when i get it back up I will take some pictures for those who asked.
  7. Allrighty I will see if I can convince my digital camera to give me a couple more shots before it officially dies...
  8. congrats! if I wasnt using my excess scholarship money for rent I'd sure do the same thing. Going to be a nice set up when you are done.
  9. Yea, reading through that (while in class mind you) made me quite annoyed. the fact that he just shuts anyone down who doesnt agree with him/ his point of view. Thats really what you need as the "admin" for a popular message board. Glad we have this place.
  10. yea, its attached by hooking a clip under the trim for the tail gate and the other clip to the same attach point pezzy used. works pretty well and it does a nice job keeping everying tight against the roof.
  11. Yea, I need one with a better range of shutter speeds, meter, etc. My olympus point and shoot has done pretty well, but I have abused it and its feeling pretty sick... and my 35mm SLR is heavy and old, takes great pictures but i dont like backpacking etc with it. Glad to hear you like it, I have heard nothing but rave reviews of that camera, and judging by your pictures I can tell it takes good ones.
  12. mm, nice camera.. Thats the one I have been looking at.. Just got to save up some money.
  13. I think the sub 2.00 days have gone for a while. When i moved home from school in early june I paid 1.91 for my leave columbus fill up.. oh how I miss those days. Well when i got my license it was like 90 cents a gallon, what I wouldnt do...
  14. Gas shot up here in the last week. I commute to Ohio from Northern Virginia every tuesday and back to VA every friday and at first I could find it from 1.99-2.09 now I am happy if it is under 2.30.. And gas in the middle of nowhere isnt cheap like it used to be either. Still paid 2.35 in West VA. suck.
  15. Looks good. Oh how I can;t wait to be done with summer school so I can get back off the asphalt... and stop driving my sisters Mazda Protege... P.S. Pezzy - what kind of camera do you have? Is that a digital SLR?
  16. eBay has gone from being very much a buyers market to much more a sellers market... The old days of ebay is when things went for real cheap quite often, much like a constant yardsale, however it seems as though the tides have shifted and ebay stuff tends to go more for market value
  17. I've got a cargo net setup just like that, works great.. however i make sure all that is visible are cheap (tow strap, blankets, etc) because here at school they will smash a window for anything
  18. Those things are a lot of work. I started to do mine, but when I couldnt get a single bolt loose i abandoned the idea. I got a shop here to cut the bolts, pull the arms, press the bushings and reinstall the arms for 75 bucks. Not bad at all. Glad to hear you got it done, you will love the result.
  19. DJ - Mine is the same way, real weak A/C, cold yes, but not all that impressive. I dont know if something is wrong or not. I got one of the recharge kits and the pressue was in the right range sooo I dunno. A/C sucks.
  20. yea, warranty is 100K powertrain, and 60K bumper to bumper, mom got the extended warranty for 100K bumper to bumper. not bad.
  21. My mom has a Rodeo -- actually a very nice truck, was one of the few midsize/small suvs still on a ladder frame. Havent had any problems with it and still runs like new. I was looking at getting one, and was a day away from buying one till I test drove the pathy.
  22. Yea, I dont know if they have an ABS light, when I bought mine I had the very same question, alas I took it for a test drive, found a gravel parking lot and locked up the brakes. Yep, had ABS. eh, emissions. You just gotta know somebody. Very possible they had it tested while it was cold (cat not warm) I know my old BMW used to be very picky about that failed two times for the person who had it before me, so thats why they sold it and I just drove it around for an hour before the emission test and it passed, no problem.
  23. I should stop in to a weigh station next year... I will probably have a trailer since I will be bringing furniture. But I have never had a problem moving even packed to the ceiling. I have to downshift to get over the blue ridge and into the great plains, but thast about it.
  24. Looks strong. I wish I had taken pictures of my pathy on the way home from school this year... If I hit a dip in the road the mud flaps hit the ground... Can't wait till my AC lift gets in. Had 2 bikes, my skis, plus my kayak on the roof. all all my worldy possesions inside. Wow it was a scary drive, just glad I did the rear control arm bushings before hand.
  25. Mine is the same way, and it always has been. It was that way two years ago when I bought it, replaced the clutch and its the same. Jerky towards the tail end of the clutch under 1500 and if you shift real slow it grinds with the clutch in... Dunno what it is.
