  1. Started it, and for the first time since owning it.... the CEL came on.... DOH!!! Time to dig out the FSM and run some codes....
  2. In years past on other vehicles I have owned, we have removed headliners and utilized insulation/sound deadening material similar to Dynamat, it seemed to help out quite a bit in retaining the environmental aspects (heat/AC). I wonder if a healthy coating of undercoating (coating, coating man...) would do virtually the same thing?! I need coffee.
  3. Sweet. Time to get it.... Wait, I need a smart phone for this...
  4. Ahhh the stories that could be told of ripping portions of the uni body out from under my old XJ... haha. On topic, lightly pulling is okay, but ultimately its something that needs positive reinforcement, you really need to talk nice to it to keep it doing its job... Heheh.
  5. I was skeptical at first about the warranty but when I looked it up, I was amazed. 7 years, 100k miles. That is awesome. For that kind of warranty, and $5500 less than a fully loaded Frontier, I would buy a Nissan front clip and call it good. If I was in the market to purchase a new ride, and could afford it of course. And of course, correct again. Nobody has them in stock around here and online you can "build and order" from Suzuki's site but it does not show any available locations. Nice.
  6. Good job man, looks great from where I am sitting.
  7. This thread reminds me of the brown gas guys, and their quest for better fuel mileage running the additional hydrogen element....
  8. I agree with Tungsten. That gasket is quite important...
  9. Dude this is wicked cool. I wonder what kind of increase you will achieve here...
  10. Believe it or not, in this aspect the guys are right... Antenna's are everything. For years I ran a RadioShack CB (19.99) with a Truckers Light House fiberglass special (49.95) mounted on the rear bumper of my jeep... It worked great. The parts were off brand, but in most cases the CB radio's themselves all transmit with the same power (unless modified of course...) I have a 102 inch whip that I had used for a 2 meter radio, but thought about utilizing it for a CB setup... Its flexible enough that I could bend it over and strap it down to the X rack when I dont need the massive range... haha... Sorry, I am rambling a bit.
  11. With my OD trans if I turn off OD it seems to act like it should...
  12. Come on guys, lets get it on!!!
  13. You can purchase the blue condoms from AZ and Advance parts houses... But I am going to agree with nunya, I prefer the glow to be brighter... besides if it is on an instrument cluster it is controllable via the potentiometer that dims them...
  14. Looks good brother, keep the pictures coming! It might motivate the rest of us to finish our projects...
  15. I must agree with Adam, on hills it seems I am lower powered than before...
  16. I replaced mine a few months back, because they were just as you described, cracked and nasty... I cant advise if they were leaking or not because the whole valve cover was seeping oil like crazy... I just did it because I did not want to have to take the intake back off to do it again if they were leaking after replacing the gaskets...
  17. Matter of opinions but it boils down to what YOU want. Ultimately larger tires are the reason most joes lift their rigs. So if you dont want to fool with accellerated wear and tear on your suspension components a BL will be more suited to your needs. If you simply want to get as high as you can without going all hardcore awesomeness and solid axle swapping that ride, then do a 3+3 lift (3 inch BL and 3 inch suspension). Mines been that way for a few years with only some minor issues, which i to be expected with any lifted truck. Whenever I can et the SAS finished, is when I will achieve new heights! (Beverly Hills...thats where I want to be...) singing.... Best of luck to you, ake plenty of pictures!
  18. If you look at a gear ratio chart, the 4.6 gears are more than enough to cover 33 inch tires. I have 33's and stock gears... no power loss, or mileage loss... And my SE came with stock 31x10.5's
  19. And once again Ryan and his infinite wisdom shines through! Couldn't agree more...
  20. Right on the money! Beat me to it actually!
  21. This is from this PDF: Typical “metal fume fever” begins about 4 hours after exposure, and full recovery occurs within 48 hours. The symptoms include fever, chills, thirst, headache and nausea. All of these symptoms, pain and suffering, as well as lost work (and play) time, can be avoided entirely by simply not inhaling the zinc oxide fumes. In my experience I always felt quite sick after welding galvanized steel.
