  1. Slick to add the "kid friendly" to the rig. Solidifies the notion to the spousal unit that its okay to take the kids wheelin, as well as saying the classic... "I'm doing it for the kids..."
  2. I would definetly suspect timing belt after listening to the video... Have you checked number 1 cylinder yet?
  3. Man, once again... Awesome. Great job, it really flows with the truck.
  4. Less fuel mileage and less power with higher octane fuel?
  5. The first thing I would want to know is how many miles are on the Pathfinder, and has any work been done to it that you know of? Specifically has the timing belt been serviced at the proper interval? If it was a TB failure it shouldnt sound like it would normally sound in the starting aspect... there will more than likely be some out of place noises coming from the top end of the motor. Second thing... has your CEL been on at all, or intermittently coming on and going off? Even if it has not been on, it would still be wise to check your codes. Third thing... if it is a fuel pump related issue.... turning the key to the on position and listening for the pump is a good place to start. Typically (at least every WD21 I have worked on) the fuel pumps are loud, and can be heard if listened for. If no joy on the pump, start with the usual suspects, fuses, relay etc. Lastly... and this is going to sound silly, but make sure that the vehicle is fully in park or neutral, or if it is a manual check the neutral safety switch or the switch on the clutch... I know my solutions are vague, and for that I apologize.
  6. I agree with Trogdor, measure yours and that will give you a solid starting point with jegs, summit or even ebay. As for the electric fan, MAKE SURE its a 3.8 taurus not a 3.0... Just from first hand experience, the 3.8 SHO fan will put out nearly twice what the 3.0 fan will. We are talking some serious CFM's here... I did sort of a write up... but have since changed the way it is wired, etc. http://www.torymoore.com/pathfinder/efan.html Best of luck bro.
  7. Took the ramsey winch off and tore the motor apart.... Sigh, its in bad shape...
  8. At a former job I had we used this brand and type of connector. I have a female end of one three conductor weatherproof unit, but cannot find a male to go with it.... Here is the link http://e-catalog.beldensolutions.com/link/57078-24228-24351/en/conf/0
  9. Sweet. Cant wait until I have all of my parts to start mine...
  10. Wow they do look good...
  11. Similiar to the TM 4 inch kit, however you are lowering the UCA rather then using the spindle attachments... I need to find that drawing...
  12. I agree that they will work, but you should definetly go with a wider tire. I run a 33x12.5 on 10 inch wheels (that B told me about), and they work great. Then again the choice is up to you....
  13. Come to think of it, I have a set of stainless 4x6 lights that have louvers or some sort of vented covers that angle down. They came off of an 18 wheeler. I assume they are fog light because of the odd vents. If I remember correctly they have 100 watt bulbs in them. Every once in a while you will see the Dick cepek light on eBay, but they go for a pretty penny. With that said I know that AZ sells 100 w bulbs that fit the KC lights, as well as standard fog light assemblies. Wow, just realized that my autocorrect changes hardbody to hardcopy. Those led strips are nice looking, but the price is not very nice at all.
  14. No I realize the lights in your picture are massive. They look huge on the hardcopy, and give it that Nissan poster truck look. The reason I was saying 4 inch is because I was not sure how the massive kits would look on the pathfinder as compared to the hardcopy. I had some 6 inch Hellas I scored from a yardsale, and they had that kind of purplish yellow blue tint to them. Didnt throw that kind of light though, I assume it was just the lens. Either way they were some crazy bright flood light style beams that melted several relays.... They were nice I suppose but I Ended up trading them because I was afraid of them causing a fire. Haha. I have been messing around with the idea of led lighting similar to the Ridgid stuff, but don't want to sell my house for a set. As I ramble on, I get to my point... Preference is everything bro, and if yours is "go big or go home" so be it... Love the idea, can't wait to see what your going to do with it...
  15. How dude, sounds like you have got this going... I am looking forward to seeing the design.... 4 inch round lights on top? I need to get re educated on Hellas I mainly had kc brand stuff. Equally as spendy... Sigh.... I'm rambling on tapatalk sorry for hijacking.
  16. I had planned on messing around with a complete IFS drop, doing essentially what the frameless (not gutless) R50 guys are doing with the SFD lifts. Basically lowering everything, yet keeping the proper CV and TRE angles... I have a drawing somewhere... in theory it would work... (in my brain its another story.)
  17. My question would be what is the cause of all of the existing damage? And how would purchasing the new, prevent them from happening again?
  18. Generally Solid Axle Swap but the Brits say Special Air Service heheh
  19. I found that my TRE's limited my torsion bar cranking... Initially I was able to crank the b ars up very high, and after a week or so was in dire need of replacing the now shot tie rods... With the new set I had to lower the bars just to install them, which says something in itself as the how much I had them cranked.... At least now the front end flexes some, until it gets cut out... A few more parts....heheh
  20. I say go for it. The good news is that if you decide that your not fond of it, you can always take it off.... I like the idea myself, Just not really sure how the big lights would look on top. I would definetly like to see it done, it will more than likely motivate me to finish mine!!
  21. I have had good experiences with the Duralast Gold (new not reman) from AZ. Just my input.
  22. I just wish I would have reversed my middle mounts like you did...and the frontier idea may work out...
  23. X rack looks fantastic! Great job! Changed the O2 sensor in mine.... last night... CEL has been on for a little while, just waiting on the sensor to arrive... Well I went to leave the house to go to the daughters ball game when the light started flashing, and the truck started running incredibly rough, finally just dying. It would not start back at all... Good thing was that I had received the sensor in the mail... So without further waiting... I worked like crazy to get the old sensor out, then put the new one in... After that, I cleared the codes and started it up.... like it never had any issues... Dont ask me why it died... who knows... I checked everything else that I could, nothing else seemed to be an issue...
  24. Depending on how much you cranked the bars, you may end up having to utilize longer UCA bolts like some of us have.
