you need to check the oil cold and when the truck has sat for sometime.. what you're getting is a reading of oil being thrown around.. my guess is with yozsi here.. you're probably empty but check it the correct way to make sure.

check wireing/connectors.. it could be the amp.. but get new speakers if you can because those are probably shot or about to be.. i had to change them on my 94 a year ago.. 10y on a speaker is pretty darn good, imho.

i have wires running through the firewall where the harness goes through.. the grommet is very waterproof and can be hard to deal with as it's folded over a few times but with a little patience and nimble fingers you can get wires through there.. no problem.

cold i check all my fluids cold. if they are below "low" then i add. i know that the manuals say to check AT and PS when hot but they fluids don't expand that much so i feel safer when checking them cold.

yeah, it's your MC. it's not hard to replace at all. you'll have to bench prime it and then bleed all the lines. while you're also doing this it's a good idea to thoroughly check the braking system. new MC will apply more pressure to the parts. so if they look old/worn then you ought to exchange them now too. i'd still just bleed it to start with unless you can hear a slight gurgling sound coming from the vac booster to which the MC is attached.
