where the hell are you reading this kind fo stuff? those conditions is what the 4hi is for. hmm i figure if i am going to be able to drive 55mph or 65 in the snow then i really don't need the 4x4. 4x4 doesn't do you any good on ice.. doesn't matter how many wheels have power when none have traction.

the door cover takes less then 5min to be taken off or put back on. i don't know how exatly the handle is attached. look in the spare door. i'd imagine it will take a little bit of time especially if you don't want to bust any of the plastic parts. changing oil doesn't really take anytime.. i do other stuff while it drains or refills. don't check the bearings if you don't have the time.. that could end up being very time consuming.

(BFH) and vicegrips, tie wire. i have those in there always.. i also have my toolbox with pretty much all my tools. i have repeared all of my cars on the road (literaly here) at one time or another. it's good to be prepared. (maybe i'll bump up self depreciation alley here sometime. ) if you really want to go "thin" the only wrenches (sockets too but i mainly use wrenches anymore) you need on this truck (<96) 10mm, 12mm, 14mm, 15mm, 17mm + phillips scredriver. there are a few bolts in other sizes but few (8mm, 11, 13, 16, 18, 19, 22, 33?).. there are also a few torx screws and a few allen ones too. btw. there is more 10mm stuff on this truck then any other size. i always have 2 10mm wrenches/sockets in the truck at all times or one of each. duct tape!? other things: i also have a small shovel (it's better then nothing and i have dug myself out with it more then enough times (it wasn't enough this last time though oopsy) under my redtop i also have a 1" thick plank of native timber to lift the batter so the factory tiedown still works. in a pinch of course it can burn but i have it there mainly to give my factory a boost or to spread the weight of the truck in mud or sand when using the jack. and i really couldn't just let this all slide like that.. so, if you search around you may come accross a duct tape thread as well as one dedicated to tools and spare parts. have fun.

i can't remember now but i am thinking you'll have to dis-assemble the hub so you can swing the axle away.. search and yee shall find.. that info is in this forum already.

yeah, i have 5x7 alpines and they just slipped right in. the back is a little more hastle though.

you need plug-ins to use it with FF.

my hubs are hot after driving h-way speeds.. after being in reverse, you should hear a click (2 actually but sometimes that's hard to tell) when going forward.. that's hubs dis-engaging.. whirling sound? could be anything.. cat in the fan parhaps? open them up and see.. loose parts aren't a good sign.

mine does it sometimes because my pass outside handle sticks at times in the open position. it did really bad to day though but it was way wet.. it has rained a bunch all day and my truck sat in it most of that time. iirc it was one of the connectors in the door that was the culprit previously.. it wasn't tight.. there is factory electrical tape in all the connectors and sometimes that actually impedes the tight fit. i don't recall if i took the tape of in either door though. will have to dig back in sometime soon especially if today's up/down episode repeats.. i couldn't get out of the truck for what seemed like 5 minutes. lol

what kind of insulting poll is this.. :eek: for one, you didn't say what you exactly mean by offroading.. the difinition can be pretty broad.. for two, dude.. you can get 35s on one.. these things do circles around other trucks. reliabiblity is A1. the truck has some weak points but what truck doesn't. mine is prettty much stock and there is no way i'd get anything else at this point.. eventually i'll build it up and then do circles around the hevier modded trucks. SAS is not for me but it may be an option for you to consider. chebby in under the hood is blasphemous.. my opinion of course.

yes, you need the nissan supplied tool or a super long extension with a swivel. NGK plugs are good. darn dislexia.

to change the fuel filter you have to depressurise the system.. on the earlier models that means pulling the fuse for the pump and letting the truck "run out" of gas.. after that, it should be no sweat. also check your MAF and all the above.. also search the forums as this exact topic has been beat to death.

it can also be bj or something like that up front.. get under your truck and look. if nothing, then lift it and see if anything is loose.

search for the tail gate latch fix on this forum.. i bet that's your issue as that's semi common thing to happen.
