  1. not common. may want to lay down under there and visusally inspect for loose/worn pieves of the suspention.. thunking`clicking? could be the sway bar drop links. mine do that, especially off camber.. even just a tad.
  2. possibly but no forward gears and only reverse is a terminal sign too me. been there, done that except my fluid wasn't viscous.
  3. http://npora.ipbhost.com//index.php?showforum=27
  4. lol.. not one mention of the clutch red88.. where is the slave cylinder? lmao..
  5. search and yee shall find, i ain't google.. good luck and yee is welcome.
  6. the feeler gages is how i did.. no problemo.. search for 88pathofforad post about another method.. i am thinking it was something to the effect that you should be barely able to turn the belt 90 degrees in the middle of the longest leg at the proper tension.. not completely sure but if yee search.. yee shall find.
  7. this is only a sticky in this area: http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/index.php?showtopic=6957 :X
  8. have you looked anywhere else besides the hose under the hood?that's where the engine resides.. tranny is under the truck..
  9. i use bailing (tie) wire to re affix mine.. no problems at all and it just takes a minute or two.. easily fixable again.. on the trail or the highway.
  10. hi! sounds like it may be dead.. what's the atf look like?
  11. pretty sure the tape is factory.. i think i have (or had) it on every connection on my truck.
  12. ok, moving to the garage.. bleed, adjust... and yeah, if you need more info ask away..
  13. oppsy.. have to be a member to see those pictures.. :sniff:
  14. awesome idea.... we'll definitely need pics too. have fun!
  15. all bets could be off if the compression is way too low as redpath is elluding to here.
  16. i don't think i have heard of anybody doing that on this forum but maybe some of our canadian friends have..
  17. oh.. where are my manners.. welcome we're going to the garage with this thread too.
  18. well don't delay on the external tranny cooler man.. i know MI winters can actually be pretty brutal but the problem with the stock one is that it get's plugged up thus rendering the thing completely useless and thus ATs tend to burn up.. if you have already noticed all this heat from the shifters, you should really get on it.. you'll be working in the area anyway when you do the t-belt.. there are great writeups on all of this in the garage how to.. if you need more then either bump one of those or just start another thread with your specifics. good luck.. where in MI?.. i'm in indy. one more thing: open up the hood at night with the engine running.. if you see a light show those wires only look good.
  19. you may look into adding external ATF cooler if the truck doesn't have that mod yet.. pronto! shifting: shift selenoid, vac issues.. maybe lack of power: cap&rotor, clean air and fuel filters, clean the maf.. there could be so many things.. you just have to start eliminating some of these.. if the t-belt has never been done.. better do it fast!
  20. c rings are in the hubs and other places on the trucks.. i used needle nose pliers for years to accomplish this task but not long ago i saw some on 99c sale so i picked a pair up.
  21. ATs are ok but if you really want off-road tires go with some MTs or something to that effect. you will be glad you did.. i know i am.
  22. yeah, i think that's normal.
