yeah, i normally do them all at the same time. all of mine now take the same fluid so why not. the only fluids i haven't changed was the MT (it was just done by the PO) and the clutch.. clutch fluid ain't looking all too good so i'll hit that sometime soon.

a friend's honda calls for 7k oil changes.. i don't think i'd be really comfy with that unless it was synthetic in it. you know the change oil at Xmi and the filter every onther time was actually the opposite of what should have been done... although the oils and filters weren't as good as they are today. conspiracy, maybe but we drive way more and way harder then our folks do so i can see the necessity of more frequent changes, especially if you do a lot of stop and go.

i am using just gear oil.. it says it has lsd additives in it and that it is ok for non lsd. no problem thusfar.. i think my fluids have 15k mi or so

wow, you don't have a drain container? i drain all my fluids into one and then cork it and take it to the auto parts store.. no funnels, no mess..

yeah, the t case goes about the same as the diffs. almost all gear oil has LSD additive in it nowadays.

SBC's problem is the "C"

compression test is quick and easy.. start with it. if you have an issue there it won't matter if it's in time or not. and it all seems like you may have an issue there.

pretty sure there is no valve adjustment. it's been a while since i've been inside the motor though.

MT is the way when hill climbing. i rarely shift.. mostly 1st or 2nd only and this baby goes and goes.. :D

could be the plugs. nissans like just the regular NGK the best for some reason.

what he ^^^ said on the cooler. look and see if you still have those heat shields.. if not, fasion some and put them on the exhaust.

it's your choice. you may put that POS in there if it tickles your fancy. and who said we loved ya anyway?
