if you have a blown head gasket then you'd most likely have mixing of liquids (oil/coolant) might want to run ecu codes (sticky in how to in the garage) MAP sensor and CPS come to mind right away also.

is/was there oil in that thing? are you sure the dizzy isn't busted? in even 5 minutes the water should have been at least warm. hmm i'd pull the heads and have a look inside first. see what the cams and valves look like. i can see the belt might have been on too tight..

no airbags. those came in 96

sounds like a good deal. check fuses for both of the items that aren't working.. then relays..

throwout bearing is shot. time to put in a new clutch.. first i'd check the clutch fluid though and make sure all the adjustments are the way they are supposed to be.

keep rpms under 3000 and the milage increases dramatically.

i have D ring shackles there. when purchasing some, make sure the cross bar is thin enough to go through those holes. got mine at TSC for $12-15/ea

better? depends what points you want to measure it against. i think it get's better gas milage.. that might be about it as for better. i don't particularly love the newest design of either pathfinder or the xterra.

yeah, i don't know.. kind of what veng said.. they aren't really related.. the X is really the sporty truck in the lineup. even the old ones are huge compared to wd21.. i am going to keep mine as long as i can and stick to fuel efficient cars for commuting.

d20=hardbody-->wd21=pathfinder 85-95-->wd22=xterra 00-2004 r50=pathfnder 96-2004-->r51=pathfinder 2005- n50=Xterra 2005- that's the progression of chasses lines. pathfinder actually took a sidestep in 96... i'll have to look into the new X.. didn't think it was that much different then the previous underneath.. the body looks different but i thought the rest was about the same as the wd line.
