  1. more torque on already weak steering?
  2. is your truck a dd or a trail rig? if it's the first then bfgs would be in order because the superswampers are way softer and not really made for highway driving.
  3. thanks 93.. in the next few days i will try to tackle this pup.
  4. yeah, i am wondering too. where is the pic?
  5. killer post k9.. any idea what the resistance on the injectors should be.. i couldn't read the last diagram you posted as it's rather small.
  6. junk yard may also be a good option for finding this part.
  7. ok, on my trip last week i had a stereo issue too and wondering if it's the same thing as this problem here.. the radio all of a sudden went to just "fuzz" and will not play the radio nor cd nor tape.. when i undid the amps they would spark against the ground (the metal part where they are attached) and then once the radio did come on fully but then fizzled back out to fuzz.. any ideas as to what's going on? power seems to be getting to everything, fuzes are good.. thanks
  8. 21 could be coil i guess too. 51, you'll have to check the injectors but maybe someone on here has dealt with either of these before.
  9. found my problem.. bad contact at the relay ground.. all is good.
  10. i have my lights wires just as the pic in the link but for some reason the relay isn't relaying.. when the lights are plugged directly to the battery they work but through the relay they do not. the relay i bought calls for the relay terminals to wired in a different pattern then the one in the link but i wired them both ways and still no go.. when the in cab switch is on i get power at 3 of the prongs at the relay but not the one going to the lights.. when i switched it with relays ground the power shifted to that terminal.. i am totaly cornfused at this point. help! lol
  11. no, i am stock but 88 has both types of lifts which may somehow make a differnece but i don't see how.. neither the engine nor the frame changed their position as related to the filter..
  12. this filter does NOT fit in my 94.. it's at least half in too long.. catches on the frame thusly doesn't want to catch the threads squarely.
  13. sorry, i've been a little hurried today.. just clicked the wrong section.. thanks for moving it.
  14. ^^^lol. new plug that i just put on and now have off and just hooked into the fuse box. the wires inside go through the cirquit board and disappear under somehwere.. gonna try to get under the board thanks
  15. over 45deg and the thing (wd21) is still pretty steady.. freaky but steady.. lol
  16. damn.. sounds like a chase but will have to try it.. i still have other stuff to do.. darn it.. i am talking to the guy i got the cb from.. he may know something.. thanks k9 and others
  17. so the cb needs to be grounded? i mean i have + and - already through the cig plug.. cb case is plastic-ish thanks though, i'll check the coax in a minute
  18. nothing happens when just the antenna is plugged in and no power is not hooked. i have it plugged in straight to the juice right now (no fuse) and that's how i found out that the antenna sparks. i reversed wires and stuff but no luck as of now.. btw. with no antenna the cb does not come on even if plugged in.. hmmm

    cb issues

hmmm. was going to hook up my cb through the cig lighter for now so i can remove it whenver not use but i have some issues and need some ideas.. i have the coax running under the rear seat and out under to the tire carrier where the antenna is.. everything looks fine.. now, i keep blowing the fuse.. seems the cb likes to spark when i attach the coax.. not sure what's the deal.. looked over all the cables again and everything looks fine.. what the heck to i have wrong? thanks for any advice you can render.
  20. and thus the belt dressing
  21. the tranny thing is not any cause of this... weak battery? lights work?.. die when you crank? or just dim a little?
  22. autozone FREE tool rental is just freaking awesome..
  23. update us definitely. i think you'll need to still tighten them.. lol never had anything squealing when too tight.. it seems to me nissan liked the belts tighter then haynes specd.. mine are loose now and they make noise. i'll change one tomorrow and tighten the rest up and i'll also let you know.
