Question About Leveling A Stock R50...
laxman0324 replied to ascdesigns's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
Better than the "dog rubbing ass on carpet" look that you get out of 4runners and explorers...and follow Jose's advice to contact daddyrim, he is an NPORA member who is beginning to sell parts for the Pathfinders, 1" will give you 1" inch of lift, they move your entire strut assembly down 1"... -
I thought you were talking about the load sensing valve but I wanted to make sure. Let us know how your custom springs settle and wear since other people may want to get them...
-
What is the big spring you are talking about? And what did you do for the rear lift? i.e., what springs did you use?
-
Good luck, you will need some patience to get through some parts of the project, I think thats when most people give up. Be sure to post up pics as you go along...

Will instructions be available? I am pretty good at piecing things together, but this seems pretty critical to get everything right and I would really prefer directions. Also, is this bolt on or weld on? I personally am looking for a bolt on kit that I can weld to its mounting points after the bolts are tightened and I have taken a test drive...

Your pretty much right on all fronts, the Platinum was just a fully loaded LE. I would imagine it should have a badge on both sides...

What 01silva is using is called a wheel adapter... So you bolt these to your existing wheel studs and then you mount your wheels to the studs on the adapter. The cheap way to do this is to get a set for a Taco and just ask for the open ended set of lug nuts (to bolt to your wheel studs) fit a Pathfinder. Cost almost half as much this way. Then your outer studs have a Taco thread type(M12x1.50) instead of a Pathfinder thread type (M12x1.25)...

Why Are Springs So Expensive?!?!

Camber adjustment bolts for the lower strut mount from summit racing. New OEM strut bearings since you will have the struts apart. I had to replace all of my stabilizer bar links on my 97 and my 01 when I lifted them because they started making noise. The only other thing I can think of is you may want to spend the time to replace the lower control arm bushings while your at it. Just a suggestion, it is extremely helpful to have a 22mm deep impact socket for the lower strut mount nuts and an impact gun. Those nuts tend to be very very stubborn. The bolt head is a different size (19mm maybe?) so be sure to check you have the right sizes... -

I thought your youtube video showed you cutting the lower part of the funder flare, right near the rocker panel? Or was that for a different reason? -

Well you did have to cut the fender flare itself, which is something some people (me) wouldn't want to do. I would say with only trimming the wheel liner you could fit 32's... -

NO! Go for it, no reason you need to replace... -

New wheels are not required, just most people like to do it at the same time to complement a more aggressive stance. I kept the stock wheels on my 97 and my 01 for winter use... -
Thanks guys, exams went well...enjoyed my birthday pretty well this weeekend..

3.5L V6 Nissan Power Adds - Best Practices?
laxman0324 replied to Oregonian's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
I removed the resonator when I put the K&N intake on. When I go off roading with the K&N I will find some way to plug up the hole in the fender, hopefully a large plunger will fit nicely and will be easy to remove when I get back on the road... -
Dude. Very cool. more pics.
