  1. Will instructions be available? I am pretty good at piecing things together, but this seems pretty critical to get everything right and I would really prefer directions. Also, is this bolt on or weld on? I personally am looking for a bolt on kit that I can weld to its mounting points after the bolts are tightened and I have taken a test drive...
  2. Your pretty much right on all fronts, the Platinum was just a fully loaded LE. I would imagine it should have a badge on both sides...
  3. What 01silva is using is called a wheel adapter... So you bolt these to your existing wheel studs and then you mount your wheels to the studs on the adapter. The cheap way to do this is to get a set for a Taco and just ask for the open ended set of lug nuts (to bolt to your wheel studs) fit a Pathfinder. Cost almost half as much this way. Then your outer studs have a Taco thread type(M12x1.50) instead of a Pathfinder thread type (M12x1.25)...
  4. Camber adjustment bolts for the lower strut mount from summit racing. New OEM strut bearings since you will have the struts apart. I had to replace all of my stabilizer bar links on my 97 and my 01 when I lifted them because they started making noise. The only other thing I can think of is you may want to spend the time to replace the lower control arm bushings while your at it. Just a suggestion, it is extremely helpful to have a 22mm deep impact socket for the lower strut mount nuts and an impact gun. Those nuts tend to be very very stubborn. The bolt head is a different size (19mm maybe?) so be sure to check you have the right sizes...
  5. I thought your youtube video showed you cutting the lower part of the funder flare, right near the rocker panel? Or was that for a different reason?
  6. Well you did have to cut the fender flare itself, which is something some people (me) wouldn't want to do. I would say with only trimming the wheel liner you could fit 32's...
  7. NO! Go for it, no reason you need to replace...
  8. New wheels are not required, just most people like to do it at the same time to complement a more aggressive stance. I kept the stock wheels on my 97 and my 01 for winter use...
  9. I removed the resonator when I put the K&N intake on. When I go off roading with the K&N I will find some way to plug up the hole in the fender, hopefully a large plunger will fit nicely and will be easy to remove when I get back on the road...
  10. PM him and ask...I don't remember where I found the information...I am studying for 2 exams tomorrow right now so I can't take the time to look, but tomorrow night I will try to search a little.
  11. Yea, the steering linkage is a concern for me too, otherwise I would be interested this summer when I can hopefully get an internship that pays nicely...
  12. But from Australia, shipping would murder all of us not floating on an oversized island...
  13. I hope this can materialize, I would still not be in the market until this summer, but provided a couple satisfied customers post up some reviews I would jump on it...
  14. My 97 was always like that...It didnt turn the light off until I either cut the wheel to help it pop out or backed up...
  15. Lookin good Jose! I think I like that bare metal steel look than the powder coat black look...
  16. Yea thats what I meant...It is a very good opportunity for whoever is the first to make a kit consistently... mudfild: Enjoy your kit, I am very jealous!
  17. I think if you guys have already gone that far on a kit, you might as well offer a kit that includes at least the steering and brake parts needed, I think most people would want something prefabbed and proven rather than making their own, especially with steering. Also, maybe offer an option that includes say coils and shocks for the rear or coil spacers and shocks...I know I would rather buy the kit all in one from one person than have to start piecing things together on my own. Don't get me wrong, I think it is fantastic that you are offering this and I hope you have much success, but I am sure there are other people more like me that want a more complete kit that covers everything since I don't have the experience or time to do the right things. Thank you for your hard work and willingness to distribute such a needed item to the members of this board, if a more complete kit appears you can bet I will be on your list very quickly!
  18. So what else would be needed? Rear springs obviously but what else up front? Steering extension?
  19. My foot is in my mouth...forgot about the whole extendability thing...
  20. Those are my wheels on my truck. The X has the same sized hubs because those wheels fit perfectly around my Warns. The reason they are set back so much is because I used 1.5" wheel adapters (glorified wheel spacers, you bolt them onto your existing bolts and the wheels bolt to them). I used them in order to fit larger tires and just because I wanted the wheels pushed out to the corners a bit more. The SC wheels are 17", the stock wheels are 16", so your tires will not interchange. I think the SC wheels look better on a Pathy then they do on an X, they should have just made an SC VQ35 Pathfinder...with a 5 speed...that might have been a little fun...
  21. The 5 spoke SC wheels look very nice indeed...
  22. Agreed this is the easiest way to hopefully get a little more air to the engine...and I got a little bit of sound on my 97 doing that...
