  1. change the brake fuild out first, make sure it is bled correctly. Out of curiousity, did you have anything done to the tires recently?
  2. Mr510.......you have no idea how many times i have gone round and round with people on this very issue. When people come in wanting these type parts I have to know all about the block stamp and so forth. I cant...and wont....just "sell me some oversized bearings and rings"
  3. Totally agree!!!! I always tell people that even though it says you can shift on the fly in the owner's manual....dont do it! Especially with the age now of the vehicles.
  4. Most if not all of what you need you could get at a salvage yard for around $400. Not sure how many are around there in WY though... looks like you need: Hood hood insert front grille RH fender front bumper RH bumper fascia RH turn signal fog light probably a RH bumper bracket as well
  5. Heard my name mentioned.... I can beat that! PART NUMBER: 90606-0W003 DESCRIPTION: HANDLE ASMY, BACK $71.18 (NISSAN LIST: $124.42) PART NUMBER: 90502-1W301 DESCRIPTION: LOCK ASMY, BACK $82.91 (NISSAN LIST: $141.56) Both parts are still available from Nissan. Ship @ $9.95 to lower 48 states. No tax unless you are in TX.
  6. the pin for the back lift gate is often the culprit.
  7. Seen that on some Australia ones before.
  8. Yeah, on almost any given body part the right side will cost more than the left.
  9. I just work here Mr Nissan sets the base cost and prices. Because its description and part identifier is a RH body part, that may be the reason why. RH body parts tend to be a few more dollars than LH body parts because statistically more accidents damage/happen on the RH side and Mr Nissan knows this statistic and also knows insurance companies have to replace it. Same reason why body parts in general tend to be high......
  10. You may also wish to consider replacing the brake booster check valve. It is a small but important part that will lead to less effecient braking. I always recommend replacing it to customers when their vehicle is 12+ years old. I usually get very good feedback about how they noticed an improvement. WD21, D21 07/86-08/89 WITH Z21i PART NUMBER: 47478-01G02 WD21, D21, D21U 07/86-10/95 PART NUMBER: 47478-03B00 R50 10/95-07/96 PART NUMBER: 47478-03B00 R50 07/96-07/04 PART NUMBER: 47478-51E00
  11. Its a little confusing but there are only two part numbers for front door hinges on these vehicles. The passenger side upper hinge is also the driver side lower hinge and vise-versa. You flip them to fit. 80402-01G00 = RH upper and LH lower 80422-01G00 = RH lower and LH upper Hope this helps
  12. The lighting fusable link is for the headlights only. I also suspect it is the contacts int he lamp itself.
  13. I agree, sounds like you need a good bleeding.......
  14. Are the bulbs burned out?
  15. You can unplug the motor and test for power and ground at the plug to the motor.
  16. If the relay (the cliking sound) is opening and closing when you try either door switch....it is most likely the motor....
  17. Did you get the correct locks and get the shade installed?
  18. Again, that is what it is 'supposed' to be in prefect working condition. Vehicle age, crud on the sender from years of exposure, and being on a flat surface and so forth will effect all of this. Also, keep in mind when the the vehicle will no longer run and the fuel pump can no longer pick up fuel, there is still about 1/2 gallon of gas left. so when the fuel light comes on you in effect should really have 1-1/2 gallons of usable fuel left!
  19. All model R50 used the same blower motor and fan assembly. PART NUMBER: 27220-7J201 DESCRIPTION: MOTOR & FAN ASSY $175.59 (NISSAN LIST: 259.34) This part is still available from nissan. If you havent replaed the air filter in ages....it could be as simple as blowing the crud all out of there and putting a new filter in.
  20. 2 gallons remaining approx is what it is supposed to be.
