Bulb is Radio Shack part number 272-1092. two per package. about $3.50 that is it, it only comes on when the stalk is turned to on and you open the glove box. (pin is opened) The harness, if it is there, is tied off to the main harness under the dashboard. Remove the glovebox and see if it is up there. My 95xe didnt have the harness, my friends 93xe did have it. My 95 Hardbody had the harness.

Yes, it only illuminates the orange when on.

It is actually metal, with a strong adhesive back. The switch in the center console came with the fog light kit, so dealers used it. Yes, the hazard switch should be backlit when the lights are on....dealers could put the center one in but it required purchasing seperately the switch and harness and the labor to install. Hardbody trucks with the optional roll bar came with this switch. I will post pictures when I get home.

Fuel pump (?) kicks on with car turned off
Alkorahil replied to Slartibartfast's topic in The Garage
Mine does this all the time after driving it when I turn it off,.when it is very low on fuel (1/8th or less). My fix has always been to put gas in the truck so I dont run out of gas. (and the sound goes away too.) -
There are actually two different pins used based on year. The parts guy you talked to didnt look at his screen close enough, it shows under quantities on the vehicle '2' for the bushings and '1' for the pin. If he was paying attention he would have seen that and known that it is telling him '2' per pin, not '2' per vehicle!! I hate amateurs! 89-92 WD21 E7247-41G60 BUSHING, HINGE $1.56 EACH QTY NEEDED: 2 E7245-41G60 PIN, HINGE $3.40 EACH QTY NEEDED: 4 93-95 WD21 E7247-41G60 BUSHING, HINGE $1.56 EACH QTY NEEDED: 2 E7246-41G60 PIN, HINGE $2.51 EACH QTY NEEDED: 4

Replaced front sway bar and bushings, both endlinks and bushings, tensions rods and bushings. One tension rod was bent!

These symptoms sound like a distributor issue to me. When they go out they will cause back fire and it to run rough, then they will clear up for a while and then do it again untill it completely fails. It will also not want to crank sometimes and will crank up fine other times. Is there any backfire through the intake when you try to start it? Open the air box up and watch when you try starting it. IF there is any backfire through there that is your problem for sure! IF you can, try replacing the distributor on your truck with a known good one and see if it goes away.

3.0 Distributor Work in a 3.3?

what he said! -
My rear end was getting noisy and I was way overdue, so I changed the front and read differential fluids and the transfer case fluid. I had some leftoer fluid from the subaru so I got under the truck and went to work. There was a little sludge buildup on both the drain plugs and an acceptable amount of metal flakes on the rear drain plug magnet for 210,000 miles....So I am happy. Both fluids were near black and nasty. Front was very thick and rear was very thin and didnt have a very strong 'gear oil smell' I was way overdue to change them! (i know better)

Hi Albino, Did you replace both the evap cannister and the purge control valve on the cannister? Did you use aftermarket parts?
-
As far as Genuine Nissan Parts go, the old/original part number for the studs automatically supercedes to the new part number no matter what dealer you go to.
