Starts, won't crank, no spark, stuck in theft mode?
Alkorahil replied to MattFransonPA's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
That makes sense, as the motor can not start without the input from the sensor and it is protecting itself. -
Next time somone orders one from me I will look at it
-
Yeah I know it maybe a catalogue error. The 94-95 is the only one that shows a capacity in the book and it says 15gal, but it doesnt add up as many have pointed out as we put more than 15 in them And it is the larger of the V6 tanks in size and weight.

I can only get half an alignment with larger tires?!
Alkorahil replied to kefferjoe's topic in 96-2004 R50 Pathfinders
There are but it is not the exact same set up; it does not use a bolt/eccetric disc set up to adjust camber. The WD21 uses bolts with shims to adjust the camber on the front. You add shims to adjust the camber. The bolts should not need replacing unless they are stripped/rusted. P/N 01115-00241 BOLT HEX the shims come in the following sizes: 4.0 2.0 1.0 2.9 2.6 You then get to pull your hair out adding and subtracting shims till you get the camber correct or as close to correct as you can, which is another reason why most shops do not want to do the adjustment on or trucks as it is very time consuming - so they just say it cant be done which is not 100% correct. -

Who will copy a chipped key to a non-chipped key?
Alkorahil replied to Towncivilian's topic in The Garage
The key is not programmed to that specific vehicle, so the vehicle thinks it is the wrong key/you are trying to steal it. After the third attempt to start it with the wrong key, the vehicle will go into security lock out mode. You will then have to tow it to your local dealer to get the vehicle security system unlocked and pay about $150 plus the tow bill to get it there. -

There was a pre and post 1994 fuel tank for the V6. The fuel tanks from Nissan with the V6 engines supercede now to the 94-95 part number: P/N 17202-61G00 This is a 57L (15.1 gallon) tank. The Z24 had P/N 17202-41G08. It does not tell me the size on that tank though.......

that sounds like a good deal to me. Extra thick for more protection would seem the wise choice. -

Possible Working(slave) Cylinder or Rear Main Seal leak
Alkorahil replied to mfoley412's topic in 90-95 WD21 Pathfinders
Agreed, any of these can end up pooling oil there over time as gravity pulls it down. -
I cant recall seeing/having a WD21 that this part was super tight on the upper shroud. It is just that way.

I always use compressed air.

I couldnt find the rules for Minnesota, here are the ones in TX though: Purchased a Vehicle Out-of-Country The vehicle must meet all federal and state importation requirements prior to titling and/or registering the vehicle in Texas. Step 1: Properly import your vehicleYour vehicle must meet the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) established by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). More information concerning customs matters is available from U.S. Customs and Border Protection. Step 2: Obtain a VIN inspectionYour vehicle must pass a Texas vehicle safety inspection and a visual verification of the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). You can have your vehicle inspected at any Texas-certified Safety Inspection Station. The vehicle must be also inspected by one of the following law enforcement agencies: Municipal Police Auto Theft Unit County Sheriff's Department Auto Theft Unit Federal Bureau of Investigation Department of Public Safety Motor Vehicle Theft Services The National Insurance Crime Bureau (NICB) Vehicle Theft Investigators Step 3: Apply for Texas title/registrationAfter your vehicle passes customs, federal and state inspection, take the following forms, along with proof of insurance, to your county tax office: U.S. Department of Transportation Form HS-7 If the imported vehicle is under bond, an original bond release letter from the U.S. Department of Transportation Vehicle Identification Certificate (DPS Form VI-30-A), completed by a Safety Inspection Station The inspection report on the bottom of Form VTR-68-A completed by a law enforcement agency's auto theft unit. Note: U.S. military personnel, including immediate family members, returning to Texas military bases are not required to submit a completed form VTR-68-A. Please refer to our Military Packet for more information. Furthermore there is infor from the US Border Patrol site: https://help.cbp.gov/app/answers/detail/a_id/218/kw/IMPORT%20VEHICLE/sno/1 -
I agree with Kingman, I see no reason to do all of that, I think those manuals cut n paste a lot of sections to CYA. FUN FACT: the Z24i in the Hardbody had a rubber oil pan gasket the first year then changed to a liquid gasket. The pathfidner with a z24i had a liquid gasket the whole production run.

We both get parts from the same warehouse. -
check your belts, tensioners and pullys to see if they are the cause of this.
