  1. Lockers of any kind, or even an LSD rebuild, will improve offroad capability immensely. For gears I am 99% sure about this: there should be a plaque inside the engine bay on the firewall that will say (either HG46 or HG43) which will designate if you have 4.636 gears or 4.363 gears. I haven't looked at mine in a while so I can't remember exactly where it is... To determine if you have an LSD or not you can look on the diff cover, and it will have an orange sticker that says "LSD Oil Only" if it has an LSD.
  2. It's coming along really good though! Since you have so many bodywork repairs to paint, are you going to redo the entire vehicle?
  3. I think some guys in my 4x4 club work for BDS or have close connections, so I'll make a post on the club forums to see if anyone can get better info.
  4. Oh yeah, and it's likely you'll need camber bolts too.
  5. Wow, that's awesome! I can't believe nobody's found this kit before! BDS is a local company and tons of the local Jeep guys run their stuff, so I can definitely vouch for their quality. It's too bad they don't also make heavy duty coils, or else I'd be ordering in a heartbeat! And in terms of other things you'll need, there shouldn't be anything. Just be prepared to get new swaybars links while you're in there in case you notice one is worn out or, like me, you have to hacksaw one off. And since you're trying to save money, I'd suggest the Mile Marker hubs. http://www.autozone.com/drivetrain/locking-hub-4-wheel-drive/mile-marker-locking-hub-4-wheel-drive-/140057_5532_1374/ Good find on that lift! I may have to drive out personally some time and see if they're interested in making other Pathfinder lifts too.
  6. And I noticed you say "soon to be 33 inch tires". If that's your goal, I'd just like to make sure that you understand you'll need new wheels and won't mind cutting the fenders?
  7. SFD is the only way to drop the diff, sorry to say. 2.5" of lift shouldn't have done that though. It's more likely that while installing the lift you accidentally disconnected something inside the CV's which caused them to break as soon as they rotated. Make sure you hand-test rotation before driving the vehicle when you put a new shaft in.
  8. Can you do a step-by-step guide in the hardcore fab section? (I love the sarcastic enthusiasm in this meme by the way, mind if I steal it?)
  9. Wow, that's actually pretty good! Did you do manual hubs?
  10. Washed about a million tons of salt off of it. I swear, Michigan winters are going to kill this thing long before any crazy stunt I pull... Any suggestions for rust repair inside the back door well (the curved part by the wheel)? Seems like it would be a pain in the $@* to replace anything in that area.
  11. What do you mean by ID it? What exactly are you trying to figure out about it?
  12. I'm interested in this too, especially if someone else ever drives my truck and tries to use it.
  13. Definitely the internet, haha! Sometimes you'll get over a second while reading, but definitely not when you aren't reading. I find it's slow on phones too. Thank you for trying though!
  14. Have you checked for obvious things, like a wire caught in the pedal mechanism?
  15. If he's on mobile he probably won't be able to see it. Go to sfcreation.com to find the stickers.
  16. Drag radials out back and skinnies up front...that would be interesting on a Pathy! I guess 4x4parts sells 2" lowering coils for a reason...lol!
  17. Darn, I wish I knew what the part number for the rear was! It's the rear brake line for a D22 Frontier, that much I remember. Good luck with the build!
  18. Yeah, I know, was just throwing it together. Ah well, it did the job. And thanks!
  19. These Bilstein's seem very popular and are well priced IMO. I will be getting them at some point, unless I decide to go taller. http://www.4x4parts.com/i-18981408-pathfinder-5100-series-bilstein-rear-shock.html
  20. Yes. http://www.4x4parts.com/c-1057025-suspension-lifts-lift-packages-pathfinder-1996-2004-pathfinder-suspension-lifts-with-no-shocks.html
