  1. Didn't have good ones at the time (don't really now either, lol), hang on for 5 minutes!
  2. Installed some 32x11.5r15 BFG KO2's, and they look fantastic!
  3. You should be able to fit 31's. Might have slight rubbing depending on the condition of your suspension. You should not need spacers for anything 31" or less, but you might depending on, again, the condition of your suspension and if the tires rub the inner fender lining.
  4. BFG KO2, size 32x11.50r15. Hope they don't rub!
  5. UPS guy wasn't too happy, but it looks like the Q will be looking a lot more aggressive by the weekend!
  6. Tires are happening tomorrow!

  7. Yup, that's exactly what I did. I guess the air it's getting is probably a bit warmer, but I'll take a slight power loss over losing the engine.
  8. That has certainly moved up the list. For now I did this; a popular mod in my local 4x4 club.
  9. Water. Lots. Filter was so bad I just threw it in the back of the Deuce (it was our group's garbage truck, I was participating in a trail cleanup with my local 4x4 club). Luckily the nearby Napa had one.
  10. Not unless you plan to run larger than a 31" tire.
  11. Yesterday I flooded it. Got home with a temporary solution and stared modding the airbox. Done now, hopefully that won't happen again.
  12. Yay, they fit!!! Parents will be getting me tires for a graduation gift. (Super happy and grateful about that!) Anybody got recommendations? My rig sees mostly street use but obviously needs to be able to perform. Terrain is mostly wet and sandy, with some dunes and rocks thrown in if I go someplace specific.
  13. New wheels arrived, hope they fit! ProComp 15's on an '02 QX4.
  14. Strange, is that an overseas thing? Definitely not common in North America... Is it mostly used when parking?
  15. Was doing homework, then started reading SAS threads...so tempting, but not any time soon! Oh look, it's been two hours...oops...

lol same, I'm supposed to be writing a paper yet here I am on npora

  16. Oh ok, that's good then! I was concerned that perhaps you had hit a very unpleasant bump while having some fun in a field. Sounds like it was fun!
  17. How did that happen??? Thank goodness nothing broke!
  18. Yup, sure thing! Although don't think you won't catch the Pathfinder bug and buy another one... If you're looking for cheap but high quality upgrades, check out sfcreation.com for lift spacers. I've had mine for over a year and they've been great. The owner is fleurys on the forum.
  19. For off-the-shelf options that you can put a winch on, you're pretty much limited to ARB which is about $1300. Very high quality and looks fantastic, but also very expensive. You may also be able to find a used bumper from another manufacturer, but that's pretty rare. There's also a couple of threads showing how to adapt an aftermarket Jeep Cherokee XJ winch bumper to fit. If you're willing to give up winch compatibility, you can find a stock brush guard at a junk yard or I believe Westin makes one, but it's a few hundred dollars for something that really offers nothing more than some good looks. I just had a local 4x4 fabricator build a custom winch bumper for mine, which ended up being only $500, and I think it looks really good. I would suggest seeking out local fabrication shops and getting estimates. It helps if you find a couple of examples of what you'd like on the forum and print them off to show the fabricator. Here's a link to mine and links to a few other examples I'd been looking at for inspiration. http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/41925-mjotrainbrains-build-thread/?p=788308 http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/33458-hybrid-bumper-tubeplate http://www.nissanpathfinders.net/forum/topic/16069-new-bumper/ http://www.roughcountry.com/jeep-xj-winch-bumper-1057.html I know there's more out there, just can't find it. theexbrit has a great guide and CDN_S4 has some useful stuff in his build thread for the XJ bumper mod if you want to go that route. Good luck and welcome to the community! Feel free to post up some pics of your ride.
  20. Yup, winch and lights are in the plans. Winch will either be a rebuilt Warn (rebuilt by the same guy who did the bumper) or a Smittybilt. I'm planning to put some LED cubes about where the turn signals are. (I intend to relocate the turn signals to the stock marker light location once I get a new passenger side headlight housing.) As for blueprints, I don't have any; it was made by hand with some parts being done over half a dozen times to get the bend that looks best. He put a lot of time into it. When I take it off to paint, I can take lots of pictures of all the mounting stuff (it's 100% bolt on) and any measurements you would like, just let me know. Oh, and thanks, I think it looks pretty good too!
  21. Might sounds stupid...but is the tire rubbing? Occasionally I have a noise but it's just a rock caught in the brakes, so maybe it's that? I'm just hoping it's something simple/cheap for ya.
