  1. Wow, beautiful picture! That sure looks like a lot of fun. I just noticed that we have the same roof rack, but mine is mounted a lot higher than yours. What did you do to mount it nice and low like that? As mine is now I can't fit in the garage by about an inch, so if I can get it dropped down that would be great. (Not that I mind driving through 12 inches of snow every day to park behind the garage. )
  2. Wow, that sounds like a beast! I haven't put brushless in any of my trucks yet, but I plan on doing that soon. I have a friend who is building a Slash 4x4 from the ground up with all upgraded parts, I can't wait to see how much of a beating it can take.
  3. Man, that would be awesome! That and the T-Maxx are my favorite Traxxas nitros, would love to add them to my collection some day. If you decide to treat yourself, make sure to post it on here!
  4. All the electric trucks by Traxxas are, and I'm almost certain their nitro are too, double check though. Tuning could be tricky in the cold too. Qhuch one are you thinking of getting?
  5. Haha, that's some rotten luck. I prefer to stay on the ground anyway, too much risk with aircraft. About a foot of snow dumped today, so unfortunately RC season is already over for me. Driving the Q is a lot of fun though!
  6. Today was a sad day...I got a little overconfident, lost control, and kissed a tree. No major damage as far as I can tell, but if I want to make it perfect again I'm going to need at least the passenger headlight and fog light, bumper, passenger fender (with pinstripe) and flare, windshield washer fluid reservoir, repairs to lots of mounting brackets, and some hood straitening... It could have been a lot worse, but I'm mostly mad because the truck was almost perfect before this and I totally could have avoided it.
  7. Tapped a tree today. Still have to decide how much body work I want to bother doing to a 15 year old truck... :'-(

There are only two possible answers - A) None whatsoever, and B) Get a new body panel from a JY

  8. Those are so cool. I've only seen them in person a few times, but they really are amazing. A lot of my neighbors are old though and probably wouldn't like it if I had one.
  9. Does it turn on two lights and beep? Because mine does this, and it was because of the sensor being broken (mine has Intelligent Cruise Control).
  10. Sure! This is my favorite one, my Axial SCX10. It has a 1972 Chevy C10 body. I will try to get a picture of the collection posted later.
  11. Is anybody else on here an RC nut? I will have been enjoying RC for 10 years this Christmas, starting with the Tamiya Hornet re-release. I now have a Traxxas Stampede, Axial SCX10, Team Associated RC18T, and Traxxas Slash. I would like to build a Nissan Pathfinder scale truck if anybody ever comes out with an R50 body!
  12. I believe he has a Old Man Emu kit combined with 1" spacers from sfcreation.com if that helps.
  13. I know there is somebody making them, and it really bothers me that I can't find their website...hopefully somebody else knows what it is. But yes, somebody makes one and if I remember right they charge $425USD.
  14. Not that it matters, as I won't have them by then...
  15. That's good to hear, as I might get as much as 6 inches on Friday!
  16. Thanks towndawg. I think I'm going to get the last items I linked, just have to save a bit more.
  17. So it turns out the 32's (actually 31.5") aren't available in any width other than 11.5. Considering it is actually smaller than a 32 and I will have 3.75" backspace wheels, should this combo work? The 32 is a hair more expensive, but it's still way less than for a 17 inch wheel. http://procompusa.com/wheels-product-details.aspx?pt=101508&lc=PCW&pqq=2336-1558-1558-1551-1557-2338-2339&pqa=13689-8275-8275-8056-8268-13823-13842 https://www.amazon.com/BFGoodrich-All-Terrain-All-Season-Radial-Tire/dp/B010C788TU
  18. Thanks, that really helps narrow down the choices! Now to pick diameter. I'm thinking I'll play it safe and go with the 32's (not linked) but I'm not sure yet.

  20. My reasoning for not using them is it's just another part to break. I think they get a bad rep because a lot of people buy the first cheap ones on eBay they find, but even if you get good ones, I say why put another potential point of failure on such a critical part of the vehicle?
  21. So I hate to be 'that guy' that makes another "will this tire and wheel combo fit", but I've almost got this figured out after months of searching. Now I just need a little more information, which I hope you guys can help out with. I was originally looking at going with a 17 inch wheel as that's what my truck came with, and I wanted to keep myself capped at about $1000. This meant I was going to use ProComp wheels and Hankook Dynapro AT-M tires in a 31 inch size. However, I found out that 15 inch stuff is way cheaper! I am now planning to use the same ProComp wheels in a smaller size at $40 less each and some BFG KO2 tires at $25ish more each. So this works out a bit cheaper, and I get better/larger tires and more stance. These are the products I'm looking at specifically: http://procompusa.com/wheels-product-details.aspx?pt=101508&lc=PCW&pqq=2336-1558-1558-1551-1557-2338-2339&pqa=13689-8275-8275-8056-8268-13823-13842 https://www.amazon.com/BFGoodrich-All-Terrain-All-Season-Radial-Tire/dp/B010C78EYY https://www.amazon.com/BFGoodrich-All-Terrain-All-Season-Radial-Tire/dp/B010C78C1O My main question is, will these wheels and tires go together? I'm not sure how the whole width thing works. Also, will a 33" (which in BFG language means 32.5") fit on my QX4 with a 2.5" lift with no trimming? I've heard that a 32" will fit with a 2" lift, so I don't know if that extra half inch that I have is enough. I wouldn't mind trimming the fenders, but the Infiniti has these huge flares that flow with a bunch of body lines and I don't want it to look stupid. If that won't fit for sure then I'm fine with getting 32's, but bigger is better of course so I figured it was worth investigating. Rough measurements say it should fit, but IDK about the inner fender well, which I DO NOT want to alter. Again, sorry for being 'that guy'!
  22. Good luck with limiting your mods! It gets out of hand very quick...lol. All I can say is, thank goodness I have a small budget to limit me! That's a very clean Pathy you've got there, I look forward to seeing what you do with it, even if you say nothing (we all know bigger things are coming, it just happens!).
  23. Thank you for your service! I think you really should get another Pathy, as you know from owning one, they're awesome! What kind of mods were you planning?
