  3. Well im not allowed back at Harper Infiniti. They told me to leave or they would call the law. I used every cuss word I knew. Long story short since the recall was done back in December there's nothing they can do unless I pay. BULL@!*%! Service manager said someone poked a hole in the tower and I told him yea I purposely made that hole and to cause all the flaking to appear. I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Bottom line is by reopening the recall would mean they didnt do their job the first time in turn looks very very bad on them. Also the service manager ask me if I knew had it ever spent any of its life up north and I told him not to the best of my knowledge no. Entire life spent in TN. Just got off the phone with Infiniti Consumer Affairs and brand new it was leased from Dayton, Ohio. Learned some new history on the old gal today. She's not been in the volunteer state her whole life. Im gonna repair i it myself. What would be the best way to go about that? Would welding a piece of steal on or rivet a homemade bracket?   5. Ok here's my answer. I dropped it off yesterday morning at 7:30 explain to the service writer that I had it in 7 months ago to have the seat belts replaced fast forward to Friday of last week I called to find out if there were any open recalls oh my QX4 the lady at Infiniti USA told me there weren't any recalls open so I asked her what was the last recall that was performed she told me strut Tower I asked her when she said December of 2018. I had no clue they even done the recall. Should it not have been on my paperwork along with the seatbelts she said not necessarily. I dont understand that one. Anyway Harper infiniti had my Quey from 730 till present becausr at 530 yesterday I received a text stating infiniti didnt think the rust was bad enough to warranty a level 1 or level 2 fix and that my Quey is ready for me to pick it up. So when did a business start texting instead of calling? Oh I know when they don't want to talk to a customer that might be on the little pissy side. I haven't called and talked to the service manager yet wanted to wait and see what you guys thought. Do i have a legitimate case people? I dont see why my Quey wouldn't have at least a level 1 repair and best a level 2. I think with the perforation(Hole) and the scab raised rust I have a leg to stand on. I think they just dont want to bite the bullet and fix it. They should've caught the strut tower problems back in December when replacing my seatbelts. The pictures dont do justice when i get to my Q I'll take some better ones. I read yesterday on one of the strut recall campaign pdf files that going by what they have listed within the pdf its def a level 2 repair. Sent from my SM-S737TL using Tapatalk
  6. I agree the bracket needs another home. I wonder too about the south west @mjotrainbrain I wouldn't think so, but you never no. It's been said before Nissan wasn't thinking correctly when building the R50. Other than the strut tower issue a GREAT suv. I take her in tomorrow morning @ Harper Infiniti of Knoxville so lets see how they handle the problem. Its def a level 2 repair in my opinion. I'll have an update as soon as I hear from them. They have a great reputation and other than the tech not inspecting the strut recall like he should've I have no beef with them. Its not the company I'm pissed about, its the tech. They treated me very respectively and gave me a sunshade especially for my Q to boot. To be continued...............
  7. No doubt. Its entire life has been right here in the volunteer state. In the past 22 years i can only remember 1 maybe 2 instances were we had significant amounts of snow. Many times its been forecasted sending everyone in a stupor for milk, bread and eggs but nothing happened. We usually get blanketed here and there, but thats rare. Monday im calling Harper Infiniti and there going to fix this or "I'm burning the place down"! Not really, but ill definitely show my a$$. Lol!!!! Sent from my SM-S737TL using Tapatalk
  8. So im still at it with my 97 QX4 fixer upper. Back in December / January I had my front seat belts changed out under warranty from Infiniti. While they had it they performed the strut Tower recall finding everything was a okay. Fast forward to the present moment and once a year I undercoat the entire underside of vehicle. While undercoating the driver side I noticed the All Too Well raised and Flaky metal. So I took my scraper and went to town and here's what happened. Going by the recall campaign guidelines this should be repairable but what makes me angry is a level 2 repair should have been done while they had it for the seatbelts 6 1/2 to 7 months ago clearly the technician didn't want to fix it so I called infiniti North America talked to them they told me to call the dealership have them bring it back in and fix it even though the recall had been performed on it I told them the rust didn't just appear within the past six and a half months it was there when they were doing the seatbelts so more less they told me they had my back. In my opinion this is clearly a level 2 repair and should have had a bracket put on to start with. The sad thing is I gave them kudos for treating me like a longtime customer who had just bought a new car. So like the Jimmy Buffett song "Come Monday" I'm supposed to call the service manager and get everything straightened out and set up an appointment. TO BE CONTINUED........   13. My tach has a mind of its own. Do you know what i need to do in order to get it functional again. It jumps back and forth and sometimes it stops on 8k. Is it a solder issue?   23. Lol!! Anytime I come across old gauges like this I getem. Last year I got a tach and quartz clock from a 85 Nissan PU and didnt have any use for either of them so I put them on ebay. Bro before i logged off a guy in California bought both. I paid if i remember right around 20$ from Pull-A-Part and sold them for 120$. Not a bad turnaround. still debating on putting at least volt/oil gauge in the Q where i just put a new set of boschs in it, or getting rid of my double din in the Pathy and slapping them in there.
