  1. Purchased a new used steering wheel with airbags for my 97 Q. Used my elbow grease to clean these puppies up. Now to the install. Will post more pics of the procedure. Sent from my SM-S737TL using Tapatalk
  2. Update(ALERT)!!!!For anyone thinking of upgrading to the factory Xenon headlights the wiring diagram shown is the factory scheme. 2 relays along with 4 diodes. Not listed is a battery saver unit that I'm pretty sure cuts power to the relays for the HID system. So when parked ignition in off position the battery saver unit cuts all power to relays so not to drain battery. I just purchased a new battery right before I done this upgrade after having the upgrade done and the wiring correct I was noticing that my battery wasn't as strong as it should be. Hint battery saver unit. Instead of purchasing a unit and trying to wire everything up I'm going to install a toggle switch to be able to turn power off and on to the HID relays as to not continue to draw power from battery when parked. I'm gonna start building the wiring harness for the toggle switch and will post when completed. Sent from my SM-S737TL using Tapatalk
  3. With so much rain here in the south(east TN) this past month I haven't had a chance to wash the old gal. Being OCD like I am, has been driving me crazy.   6. @Onespiritbrain thanks buddy. Makes my mind at ease as far as the timing goes. I've got a few days off so gonna cold start without the belts and see what happens. Thanks for all the help guys .
  7. Great news man! I know the feeling. The guy I bought my Quey from sad it had a miss and he couldn't figure it out it. It took me forever to find out what the problem was I replaced almost everything on the engine that I could think of and then decided to ask him when he had the timing belt changed he told me some Euro shop done it for him about 70k back. Decided to change it and low behold found my problem.. Mr Cox 96R50-97JR50
  8. Mine was one tooth off when I got it and as it barely staying running. I guess depends on which way the tooth was off. Mine was one tooth off between the right sprocket to the left and it started everytime. It would miss and the CEL would flash pouring raw gas into the catalytic converter'but it started everytime. When the light flashes it's time to park it utill the problem is fixedMr Cox 96R50-97JR50

  10. I figured by now I'd get a CEL. I done plugs,wires,cap and button when I done the TB. You think maybe a plug could have fouled out? It's got me puzzled how I got gas one night, and next morning it starts this. Mr Cox 96R50-97JR50

  12. No changes. I've noticed a faint grinding sound upon cold start.Took my stethoscope held it to timing cover and something just isn't stirring the koolaid right on this one can't explain. It. A light vibration when coming to a stop has showed its face too. I've heard that's from something not lining up right. Don't know if that's true or not. I'm beginning to think it's not bad gas but something mechanical. Maybe timing belt lost a tooth, tensioner going bad or is bad. Put a new timing belt(Gates) tensioner,water pump and thermostat on back in May of last year. Under load it seems to have a slight hesitation. Level ground not so much. I'm leaving to go out of town for 3 to 5 days when I get back I plan on inspecting the timing belt and go from there. Any ideas?@REDPATH88 Mr Cox 96R50-97JR50

  14. Picked me up another radio bezel,tool bag, distributor and what looks like a fairly new overflow reservoir from Pull-A-Part today. Didn't really need this stuff but got it anyway. Installing over flow on my 97 Q and bezel on my 96 Pathy. guys. Mr Cox 96R50-97JR50

  16. Love the rig bro also the Nismo decals. I've got a Nismo emblem I put in the grill on my 97 Q and posted a pic of it on pintrest. Some guy commented telling me to take it off that I was giving the authentic Nismo Nissan's a bad rap. I told him if I did, "then a$#holes like him wouldn't have anything to bitch about".   17. Love the switches where did you get them? I'd had to cut my dash above and to the right of the coin tray and put them there to hide the wires. Great job though. Different strokes for different folks. Mr Cox 96R50-97JR50

I really appreciate all the information brother I don't do a whole lot of shopping at Walmart but here in my time zone it's almost midnight and that's the only place thats open and when my car is not running right it really bothers me. I picked up a bottle of HEET. I've already put it in so let's just see what that does thanks again man. Mr Cox 96R50-97JR50
  21. Everything was fine until I filled up at Murphy's drove it home then came out the next day that's when it started so I'm thinking maybe it had something to do with the gas. REDPATH what if I accidentally put a higher grade of octane in it and didn't realize I wasn't using 87 Mr Cox 96R50-97JR50
  22. Even when I'm heavy on the throttle it doesn't miss ,but it does occasionally when I'm at a stop Mr Cox 96R50-97JR50
