Hi everyone, I just thought I'ld let everyone know where I've been for the last few days. On Sunday night we were 10 min in to a 2.5 hr drive back home and hit some black ice and slammed the Pathy into the highway ditch incline on the opposite side. My wife and 1 yr old son are fine and I thank the Big Guy upstairs for that. My wife was driving and she handled the situation like a pro. I'm in pain and have been through 2 sets of x-rays and am waiting for word on what they found and what the next step is, just a little anxious Anyway, here's a pic of the damage which insurance says is about $6000 and they are fixing it -bounce- We weren't really in the mood to be shopping around. For fellow R50 owners- It is my personal opinion that these are an extremely SAFE vehicles to be in in an accident. Actually, you're lucky that you can get weld in floor pans for your Cruiser. I had to replace 2 cab mounts and the floor pan in my minitruck from scratch. Write up with pics It's still not totally done but it's good enough for now. My truck didn't need an inspection though so yours is a little different. If you wire brush the surface rust down to bare metal and there are no big holes in the floor pan, you may be able to get away with dropping a weld over the little holes and bed lining the whole floor. I know several guys that have done this and had great results. Would you be able to get some pics up so we can get an idea of how bad the floor rust is?

My hesitation would be on how far they dropped their price down from $3995, dealers, reputable or not, don't go down that far for your good. Just my opinion.

I think he's talking about the heater fan as opposed to the rad fan, right Jay?

Try a bottle of gasline antifreeze/injector cleaner then try replacing the FF.

Does it kind of "squawk"?, it's sort of a hard sound to describe but if the fan is making any noise at all it's usually the fan motor. You can either put in a JY one and hope it lasts for awhile or buy a new fan motor.

My local club has been talking about Ham for awhile now. One of the members is planning on doing some training and get us licensed cuz he's a guru of communications. Luckily he's riding with me tomorrow on a day trip so I'll ask him for you.
