Correct me if I'm wrong but I think it will only fit an R50 that's 991/2 and newer.

Sometimes my 98 takes awhile too. Sometimes it's right away no big deal...... "slippage" helps.....when you shift from 4H to 2 give it a little gas to spin your tires and it'll "slip" out of 4H.

Mine almost sounds like the jack is loose under the rear seat, seems like its mostly on the passenger side. I'll check that before I actually replace the shocks....might be just a little cheaper

I'll ask again only cuz I had been having the "paper in the fan" noise. What octane gas are you using? When I use less than 89 octane gasoline, the noise is there, when I use 89 octane or higher the noise is gone....try it for a tank, I think your RPM noise will be gone.

Newer Pathys have had problems with struts. When I was shopping around they either needed struts(leaking) or they had been replaced. I had to replace mine when I first bought it and it was 5 years old. I've had the same noise the last couple of weeks(I think it's the same) and I'm gonna change my rear shocks, I'll let you know how it works out.

:contract: I must have read an American report. So what's the difference with VDC and LSD?

I thought I read somewhere that the LSD was an option with the SE and standard in the Chilkoot? I might be wrong though

There are separate wires to the Temp Sensor and compass that run up front(behind the grill) I couldn't see any "special" harness on mine. Looks to be pretty straight forward. If you can find one at a wreckers it would help you out a bit, and remember they are the same back to 96.

Use the main wiring harness grommet on the driver side of the center of the firewall (above the accelerator pedal). To get it out easier spray WD40 on it first (just a squirt!)inside the cab, pull the grommet toward the engine, punch a hole in the grommet the same size as your power wire with a leather hole punch and feed the wire through the rubber grommet. Don't forget to put a little dab of silicon sealant around the wire when your finished.

What's the octane of the gas you are using?

Up here in Canada, I've been using 89 "mid grade", it's like $.02/liter more and sometimes it's the same price as 87. The Pathy runs great on it. The 87 or "regular" (I think they call it that to associate it with a bowel movement) just doesn't cut it, it causes engine noise and lack of power. The 92 is just too pricey up here and tried to run it once or twice and never noticed any real improvement in performance or mileage.

nothing sticks to crazy carpet, so it should make for easy cleaning ....now you just have to decide on a funky color

If you can, get a "Haynes Manual". I've been getting about 20 mpg. Does your Pathy have LSD (limited slip diff)? There should be a little orange sticker on the diff. If you changed the lube and your diff is LSD and you used a lube w/o LSD additive you may be in trouble.
