  1. I realize that, but if I were going to buy those springs, I would buy all 4 and have it professionally installed, which means $$$ The rubber bags I might be able to install myself... just a thought.
  2. If I go over a bump or driveway at even a relatively moderate speed, I hear a loud thump, as the rear suspension bottoms out. I would love to lift at some point with Ironman Suspension, but don't have the $$$ right now. I have Bilstein 4600 shocks back there with only 20k on them, so I'm looking for solutions other than shock replacement. Upgraded bump stops seem like one route, but I'm looking for a direction.... Mainly I want to keep flex to a maximum, but have a more controlled ride on and off road. Airlift airbags seem like they could work, but I'm still a little leary of their durability. These seem interesting: http://www.etrailer.com/Vehicle-Suspension/Nissan/Pathfinder/2002/TNRPF4A.html?vehicleid=20021014039 Thanks!
  3. This is what I'm talking about. It's basically a rectangular version of the Xterra racks.
  4. Likewise- Some sort of filler. You may be able to get the lines on the paint out with a good rubbing compound like Meguiar's Ultimate Compound too.
  5. I have the big factory "PATHFINDER" rack, and it says the weight limit is 150 evenly spread pounds IIRC
  6. When capability is increased by removing factory bling (looking at you step rails)
  7. Is anyone else extremely tempted to correct a lot of CL sellers' listed model year? It's so obvious sometimes it hurts.
  8. Well keep us posted, that thing sounds absolutely incredible!
  9. Well the equivalent male would probably have to re-slick his hair... but I agree some racing equipment would have been nice to see. At least she seemed relatively unaffected- especially assuming it was doing at least 80 by that point.
  10. Yes I believe that was, though it has no bearing on ability or frankly relevance. And yeah, rain is clearly prime drifting time for my pathy at least...
  11. Any idea if there is a design which would fit under a 4x4parts center skidplate? (Between the skid plate and the "frame")
  12. Sweet! The duratracs are a great tire. What're your plans for the R51? Also, my condolences for being the lone ranger on this section
  13. Looks like that could be sweet, post pics with it on!
  14. Looking at it more, it may just be 4-hi, but still I find it odd... Other than the crackpipe price and moronic story.
  15. The first has some nerve, but that second one is literally IDENTICAL to mine, and I paid $5900 with 70k miles, without a bashed front end. My question is as to why it was put in 4-low....
  16. Also in Russia- drag racing in the rain....
  17. It's actually a Pajero, and they have a huge aftermarket. In their heyday of the 90s they finished and won the Dakar Rally many times over- not disposable at all. Here in The States they're sold as the Montero, and have a considerably larger aftermarket than the Pathys. Factory equipped with a rear locker and 1 ton axles, they're quite an excellent expo rig. (I know because a Monty was my backup from the Pathfinder ) Sorry that was my OCD kicking in
  18. I used both the dash adapter for a double DIN, and an adapter to connect to my factory speakers. I say you upgrade the speakers while you're in there, it makes things easier from what I understand.
  19. I love the pearl, one classy ride! Anyway, welcome to NPORA! In reference to improving your pathy, you've come to the right place to blow money. For the stereo question- I have the Kenwood DBX500BT, which fit into the stock location with no trimming, does bluetooth, pandora, CD, Ipod, aux, whatever, and is adapted to the factory Bose speakers. Their sound quality has improved a bit, and overall I'm very happy with them. However, if you have the $$ you might as well upgrade your speakers, if that is in your ultimate plan. Here it is What are your ideas for the pathfinder? Trail riding?
  20. Pretty cool story, I'm just glad it's on the road again, and they're driving it around. Minus a few Deusenbergs, Bugattis, and Ferraris etc, I think every car, no matter how much it's worth should be driven. I love the early body mustangs, even though I'm typically a Mopar guy when it comes to the late 60s.

    Poor pathy!

Better than ending up on Craigslist, it died a noble death, though I would like to see better than being bashed on the same rocks over and over. I'm curious as to what finally killed it.
  22. What was the final consensus- just rear spring solutions, front, anything?
  23. Holding my tongue, not just to keep friends, but to stay within the rules.
