  1. Also...for future reference for others- had I known better I would've ordered the threaded NX4 spacers, which would also make the installation easier.
  2. Entering the Gumball Rally? I replaced my sway bar end links not long ago after I buggered up the hex bolt cap on the originals and even with 120k on the original bushings they were still fine, a bit dry and cracked on the surface but that's about it. I'd personally go with the standard ones (I got mine from Autozone) and call it good-as-new
  3. Pretty darn capable for what you'll do with it as someone relatively new to the offroading world. The lift gives you more ground clearance so you can tackle larger ruts, rocks etc without scraping or bending metal. Lockers give you traction if you ever get cross axled or need some more traction. Dirt roads, fireroads and even most moderate trails are well within the capabilities of a stock Pathfinder with good tires, it really is that good. Size wise you'll want 245/75/16. I'm partial to the Duratracs or ST MAXX. If it's a dual purpose truck I prefer ATs over muds.
  4. I have yet to do mine but as long as the studs are not welded in spray some PB Blaster on the studs and let it sit for a while. Then put a socket under the head of the stud and tap it out. If that doesn't work you may need to use a shop press.
  5. 245/75/16 is close to 31" and it fits with stock suspension with very minor trimming. The OME lift, even the medium lift makes a noticeable difference in the ride height just not as much as the AC springs. I want more lift so I'm switching them out. I just hope they have as good manners as my OME springs.
  6. I got the 3/8" hardware. I'll press out the studs from the lower mounts and install the new longer bolts.
  7. Hmm, honestly I don't remember now but there's a recessed area that the end of the coil rests against. Sorry if that's not much help
  8. At times, when offroading I've had mine up to 208F according to ScanGauge - that's when I roll the windows down and crank the heater on so as to not crack the radiator For reference on a brand new GMC Acadia maintains 210F as its normal operating temp.
  9. Ah cool! It's never gone under 13v while the engine is running, even with the lights/AC etc on. I usually plug the Battery Tender in to keep the battery topped off when I don't drive it for a few days. I just wanted to double check so I didn't get stranded out in the boonies because of a dead alternator Thanks guys!
  10. It's always shown 13.6-13.8volts while cruising. Is that normal? I'm used to seeing 14.2 or so when the alternator's charging. The battery is brand new and it showed the same with the old battery too.
  11. Sure thing. But Fleury/Steve has them, he can probably make you one in the size/thickness you want.
  12. I'd be glad to do that Now I'll have more stuff to sell piling up in the garage again, sigh!
  13. Alright guys, I'm an impatient man with a credit card (what were they thinking giving me one ). I just ordered the AC lift springs and the NX4 spacers...the shipping cost is a killer on those springs! Anyone in SoCal want to come and give me a hand? Doing the same mod more than once is like
  14. Thanks for those numbers Tad! Your's are closer to mine so I don't feel like something's wrong with my OMEs, just that they're not as high as the AC springs. My tires are the same height as your's too. Well, looks like I'll be going to the AC springs + NX4. I just ordered the springs...here we go again EDIT: shoesandsocks, sorry about the thread hi-jack!
  15. EDIT: forgot to account for erathge's 32" tires, so the measurements are like this: Front height: 36.75" - 1" (NX4) - .5" (31 vs. 32 tires) = 35.25" (1.25" more than my OME MD)
  16. Yes those numbers are from the ground to the lower edge of the fender flares. However, I don't think those are stock numbers but probably within an inch of them. I'm really blown away by how much more lift the AC springs get you. If my numbers are about 1" over stock, that means (based on Evan's numbers) the AC lift alone gives you close to 3" over stock. Add in the NX4 spacers and you've got almost 4". I don't want more than that, in fact 3" would be perfect.
  17. FYI I have OME MDs all around with 1/4" trim packers in the front and here're my measurements as of right now: Left Front: 34" Right Front (passenger side): 33.75" Left Rear: 33.75 Right Rear (passenger side): 33.25"
  18. Thanks for those numbers Evan. I have OME MDs all around with 1/4" trim packers in the front and here're my measurements as of right now: Left Front: 34" Rright Front (passenger side): 33.75" Left Rear: 33.75 Right Rear (passenger side): 33.25"
  19. Ah ok but I gotta install the NX4 spacers first and see how it sits front and rear. If I need to go higher in the back and you still have them by then I'll definitely buy yours.
  20. Yeah I saw that and couldn't help but wonder why you dind't throw the NX4 spacers in the front to level it out. I'd love to get an inch or so of a lift right now. What did you have to do to install the WJ springs? I may do that if my rear continues to squat (well in all honesty I do have the storage platform in the back and stuff in it so it probably weighs about 80lbs total).
  21. Looking good! Ride height measurements:Front and rear both driver and passenger sides, from the ground to the lip of the fender, through the center of the wheel, like this- thanks!
  22. I'm on MDs and I already placed the order for the spacers
  23. Nice work but you gotta post some pics and measurements. Are those 31" tires? And...how do you have access to a full shop?
  24. ^ Good point, I was thinking of just trying the NX4 spacer and see how it sits but I have thought about both the AC lift and the SFD. SFD seems a bit more involved and honestly I don't like it sitting that high, if someone made a 2-3" SFD I'd go for that and keep my OMEs. A couple of questions for you erathge. You went with the AC springs for more lift, how much more did you get over the OMEs? And how long have you had them? I ask because I'd like to know how much lift you've gotten after the AC springs settled? Also, since you have the same body style/fender etc as mine, if you're running 31" tires I'd love to know what your ride height is- from the ground, through the center of the wheel to the bottom of the fender flares. Thanks
