^^^ thats what fixed my problem!
-
well have you tried taking the door panel off and cutting the wire and hard wiring it to where the correct leads are on the switch plug. That way you by pass the switch. you can see if the window motor atleast works then. Just make sure you dont roll the window up to far otherwise the window motor will get stuck and you will have to tear it all apart to fix it. I didnt think it was one a fuse or anything i think they get power from the battery and are also on the igniton wire thats why you cant roll them down when the key isnt in it. idk though thats the way it seemed to me. thats also ow i traced it back to being a ****** switch connection. also they windows are on a loop if you have the switch disconnected on the passenger door you can roll it down from the drivers side until you connect the passenger side switch. You know what i mean?

so there was power but they dont work is what your saying right? I had the same problem and i had to replace my drivers side switch. the old one was corroded on the pins and wouldnt get a go connection. idk thats whati h ad to to do. I had power going to my switches but they wouldnt work. see if u can jumper a few of the pins together and see if the window will go up and down. Thats what i had to do it get mine to go up and down until i figured out it was my switch connection

ok this is a really stupid question bit it almost sounds like you got the ground and the power hooked up backwards. I have seen that happen before and it was doing the exact same thing.
-
you should pm me when you figure this out my freind has a 94 nissan quest van and it also have the same motor in it with the same problem. we are going to putmy spare MAF on tomorow to test it i think.
-
my freind has a 94 nissian quest with the vg30e in it and it has the exact same problem so if u figure it out let me know. we are going to put my spare MAF in there this weekend to see if thats the problem. It looked like it has new o2 seonsors so that shouldnt be it. I think its a MAF problem my z also did that and thatds what the problem was. all 3 of our cars have the same motor so i wouldnt doubt thats the problem. try to clean your MAF out
-
so did u say it wasnt the MAF sensor?

i put gm syncromesh or something in my tranny the kinda that it called for was too thick and it would grind. now it works great! -
so did u figure it out?
-
ha thanks! Have you tried hooking the ither radio back in to see if that fixed the problem? To be honest the radi oshouldnt have any effect on the blinkers my guess is you have a short somewhere or maybe a wire got pulled loose when you took the other radio out.
-
do they light up but not blink? because if they do then you need to replace the flasher that happened in my buddies jeep. the flasher for the blinker broke so the light would just sit on but the hazzards worked fine.
-
no i think the stock hard bodys have a cheap square one you can replace really easily
-
my new one is a 1992 black SE

definantly the alternator. i had the exact same problem happen in my 300zx (both thez31 300zx and the wd21 pathfinder have the same vg30e engine) this summer. At first i thought my belts were junk because they did sqeak a bit but i replaced them and the lights were still on so i replaced the alternator and it worked great! good luck!

well ik some of the 240s come with a sr20 in japan and my buddy has a sr20 in his 240 is it possible to swap those? it does have about 200hp and should be a upgrade. but do it fit is the main question.
-
im going to guess you have done that a few times to know it off the top of your head?
-
sounds like no spark but im not a expert.
-
this is exactly what happened to me i hada 93 and i was driving and it just died on me. I tried to turn it back on it it just spun freely it soundlike like the starter was wired up but wasnt trying to spin anything because it just spun freely. Anyways i had 193k and it tbelt broke and wrecked the the whole motor it was cheaper just to buy a new motor and put it in. i found one around me for 200 bucks with 100k miles but i ended up just saying **** that pathfinder since it had bad frame rot and parted it out. And i bought the black one in my sig. good luck if you have any frame rot its probably not work fixing it unles your willing to learn or pay for something to fix your frame.

well you could try to get the older z31 300zx seats. I have power ones in my red 300zx and they are the most comfortable seat i have sat in and you can really adjust them(its like all air pressured because when you adjust it you can hear air leak out lol). If you are really good at wiring you could get the power ones to work. If not ik they make manual ones. But over all they are really comfortable plus they might be very simular since they are both nissan.

ok thanks guys

Ok im in a hurry i dont have time to look around i tried to searhc but didnt come up with wha ti want to know. I know i have read some where that there is a special kind of tranny fluid that needs to be used in the nissan transmission. Am i correct or no? Im bringing my pathfinder to get a tranny flush tomorrow morning and want to make sure i get the right kind in there. Can anyone tell me what tranny fluid to use. I need to know and so they dont use whatever random stuff they have laying around. thannks
