check your spark plugs, distrubtor cap, wires, and battery. idk something to check. Also see if anything is unpluged in the engine bay

^^ ok that would make sense becuase i have never seen it on before and i have a 93.

hmm werid all of my door sensors work great the dome light comes on when it should and turns off when it should but i dont get any light on the dash lighting up saying a door is open. Only way i can tell a door is open is by seeingit open or by the dome light on. Whats the deal with that?

ik a guy here in minnesota that did mine for 160 bucks plus i paid 60 bucks to get my old manifold planed flat becuase a new manifild will just warp again my old one wont. Hes a great mechanic can do and build anything you need him to lol. @!*% if you can make a jeep cherrokee on 33" tires and a 3" body lift run 11 seconds in the 1/4 id say your pretty damn good haha

are you sure your ground wires are all connected and aren't corroded/rusty?

i think it would be the relay or the ignition switch

this is going to sound dumb but is there any blown fuses?

i have a mechanic thats really good. He only charged me 160 bucks to fix my manifold when it warped and also planed it flate too and upgraded the bolts

thats kinda what i was thinking bring it somewhere else and get it checked again I bet they ment the thermostat which isnt that hard to change and is actually pretty cheap. Like precise 1 said thats alot of volts getting to it i dont think a 12v batter can even put out that much. Try and double check that before doing it I think they are yanking your leg.

so is this different than a thermostat? because i had mine changed for 50 bucks and its inside the radator hose

that might be it you can check it out. hmm thats just werid it works for a little bit then pops. If you were to just turn the car on and let it sit there for like 20 mins does the fuse still break or does it only do it when you are driving? See if it gets really hot when you are just sitting there. My guess is you have a short somewhere and when your moving it giggles it around causing it to short out and pop the fuse. But im not a car expert by any means.

Thats pretty odd. Are you able to see any bare wires that could be shorting that fuse out? Have you installed anything electrical latly like a radio or something?

if that doesnt help i had sort of the same problem. I found out my hood was hitting the little black wire that clips onto the MAF and it was pinching it werid so i wiggled it around and sure enough it felt a hell of a alot better when i started it up again. I also straight piped my pathy but i had to put a glass pack in becasue it was to loud lol. O well big difference so far. I might do the o2 sensor also just because mine as 200k miles and previous ppl did not take care of this car at all. Which is why i like it because it still runs great even after them not changing the oil for over 30k!!!! i have been changing it alot latly and its slowly becoming less sluggy and black and turning a little more clear! Makes a big difference. I also took of my cap and rotor and scuffed up the contact points with a peice of steel wool.

my freind had that same thing happen when the car is on you can pull the key out and what not I was even able to take my pathy key and stick it in there and turn it on. We found out that little black button on the ignition what you normally need to push to release they was stuck in. if you can pop it out or unjam it then it might fix that. we did that to his and now he cant pull the key off when its running and i cant start it with my key haha. Give that a try!

i just broke 198k miles today! only 2 more thousand!

i had a very similar problem on my pathfinder when i go it because the "radius arm" that's what they called it at nissan. it basically looked like a flat bar with 2 hole in it and a short rod came off of it and had a bushing on the end with a nut that went from the tire to the frame. the whole tire would move from the front of the wheel well to the back of the wheel well when it was broke. I couldn't drive over 20 before it felt like the whole wheel was going to fly off! yeah for the stereo you shouldnt have a problem with just installing the wire harnesses. Thats all i did on my 93 and mine works great, same with my buddys 91. I did notice it was louder because is it running through the factory amps like my radio goes to 75 and its really &^%*ing loud at 20 while my freind who has the same deck in his Pontiac grand prix gtp its about the same for loudness around 60

o i never tried the switch in any other position i just held it in and did it because it wouldnt work otherwise

ok im sure you guess have heard of this problem before but i just cant figure it out. i am the second owner of my 93 pathfinder se. The previous owners didnt take care of their stuff to well but i got it for only 500 bucks. Anyways i have 3 questions 1. my security light blinks constantly really fast whether i have it on the on position impact or off. Either way the light flashes really fast and never changes. It also is always on even when the car is running. what could cause this? I have check the normal stuff like the door jam switches and they should all be good because when i open the door all the lights come on with each of the doors. What else is there to check? Also would this be related to my doors randomly locking when i pull up on the handle or when i close the door it will sometimes lock by its self. 2. I also am curious if my pathfinder came with keyless entry and the previous ppl just lost the remotes. Is there a way to tell? I have the security alarm, power locks and windows. Pretty sure it had everything besides headed leather seats. 3. Also i went behind my freinds shop which has a few chopped up logs that i was tring to drive over since i just removed my rear anti sway bar. I was able to shift into 4h but when i pulled the shifter down it felt like it was going into N and didnt feel like it was in 4L at all. It felt the exact same at 4H after doing so. Did it not go into 4L? Also it didnt go into N at all because no mather what the position i had the shifter at it would always be engaged. You should be able to notice the difference between 4h and 4L right?

are you sure its broke if u have tohold it in? im pretty sure i have never used mine besides like once and thats hows its always been for me. I hold it and the brake light will come on and if i left go then it brake light goes off but if i hold it and the brake light is on i can start it with the clutch out.
