  1. hey those both look good im glade i could help! Skotz it looks like you have the same brush guard but you beefed it up a bit in the middle right?
  2. ok thanks ill take the panel off and check it out
  3. ok ill check into those things and see how it looks. thanks for the help! ill keep ya posted! O yeah and i guess the previous owner said he replaced a bearing in the tranny already. idk what one was fixed i wasnt there when my friend bought it and i guess the last owner said he put a bearing in it already though.
  4. drove it around a little more and it does pop out of third. Does that mean it needs syncros?
  5. Ok thanks guys i check out some of the tips you just gave me my freind is on his way over! ill let you know a little bit more when we are done! Edit: ok So i got to look a little more at the locks. We got it to finally lock it looks to be the drivers side lock(where you put the key in) is broke. It will lock the door then you have to play locksmith and figit around with the key to open it. I think thats the problem . I didnt get a chance to look at the gauges he had to go back to work. As far as the syncros go are they something that can be fixed for fairly cheap or not really? i dont think its a tranny mount because it only does it in 2nd and 3rd gear. Im pretty sure something is wrong because they move Alot like atleast a inch or a little more
  6. Hey guy just got back from helping a freind buy another pathfinder for my freinds winter car. It is a 1990 dark red v6 SE 5speed manual with 115k and very little rust. Anyways there are a few problem with it that make it only 750 bucks. Problem 1: the gas gauge and the heat gauge only work sometimes according to the previous owner he said it was because there was a bad ground them them? Easy fix? Problem 2: when you are driving and put it in 2nd or 3rd gear it will go in fine and easy but when you give it any gas the whole shifter jumped forward like a inch. I thought it was because it was going to pop out of hear at first but it seems to stay in pretty well. In 3rd gear when it does it it still moves forward farther instead of moving down toward the nuetral spot. Also as soon as you let off the gay it goes back to where it was. Problem 3: The doors will not lock. as soon as you push lock on the door and then close it it will unlock it self? Mine does it everyonce ina w hile but thats is because a handle has a short and is kinda broke on the passenger side. Do you guys think it is the same problem? Thanks for your help!
  7. mine are really comfortable and i have a 93 se wit hthe cloth. I also have a 1986 300zx in mint shape and i love the factory seats in it. They are cloth and power and heavy but they have like air packets in them and are electronicaly controled! About 10 different ways you can adjust them and they defiantly hug you pretty well! The driver one is the only power one the passenger seat is normal. Im sure you can get 2 drier set wtih it if you wanted too. I also dont know what it takes to get that stuff to work in the pathy just know they are great nissan seats!
  8. im new to photobucket and it wont let me view your pictures when i click the link.
  9. Yeah you should definantly post up some pictures! So i have a reference. Thanks for the help guys im going to have to spray it alot more then i already do i think it rusted our really fast last winter so im going to have to try and stop it before its tolate and get that frame beefed up.
  10. yeah definantly going to go very slow and beef the crap out of it so it isnt a problem later. Whats makes that spot rust so bad on all pathys?
  11. ok yeah we are bascially going to weld a whole new frame around that whole area if that makes sense. But you guys think its a do able project right?
  12. Like the title says i got the bad news when i was poking around under the pathy. I noticed a small hole so i poked it with a screw driver and found out the frame behind the passenger rear tire is shot. Heres a few pictures i got. What do you guys think? me and a freind are thinking about cutting it and making a new frame and whelding on a new part back there. will it work? The fram from the back of the tire all the way to the back of the frame is completly rusty. (This is the play place i can find where there is rush i checked everywhere else i can get at.) or if you guys dont think that will work do i have any other options? i have access to alot of tools my freind owns a body shop but i figured i would ask here first.
  13. Hey guys i got a photobucket now. I ended up making some custom mounts to get the brush gaurd to fit and cut off the extra on the bottom also cleaned it up and it turned out great. Let me know what you guys think. Not bad for getting it for 20$ huh?
  14. sorry its been a while i couldnt get the password recovery to work so i had to page through my old emails looking for it. But anyways it works great now i think all i had to do was wiggle that little black rubber thing on the MAF and it worked. It was a little low on oil but not to bad. Thanks for the help guys!
  15. hey sorry i forgot to go take pictures and ill look into the photobucket thing. I got an idea on how im going to deal with the lower mounts like you said make a spacer but for the upper ones it looks like it goes in throught the grill and latches onto something so im going back to where i bought it and looking at how it was attached on that one. I kinda think they forgot to give me a few parts or something because as of right now there is no way that thing will fit on my truck. Also the lower mounts seem like they are too far forward like they are the right height when you hold it up but at the same time it looks as though the rack is shifted forward 3-4 inches so the wholes are no where near each other.
  16. ok ill get a picture of the front bumper tomorrow! But as for the brush guard it might not be stock but why is it so different it looked like it fit right on to the pathfinder and the pathfinder it was on was a 94 or 95
  17. i have more pictures but it wotn let me upload anymore i used the max free space
  18. Ok here are the pictures. I was looking at your guys and they seem to mount in the foglight place mine looks like it has a few hooks that go into the grill.... when i have the bent part of the guard pressed into the proper position the bottom bolt holes are to low and to far forward by atleast a few inches. I would have gotten a picture but i couldnt hold it up there and take a picture at the same time I was home alone. Plus I can not figure out how to get the mounts that looks like they go into the grill to fit there are no places for them to attach to besides the plastic grill and they dont even fit into the proper spot. what do you guys think?
  19. Yeah Im aware of the run ons sorry! Anyways I used to have the chrome bumpers but they were rusty as @!*% so I replaced them with black ones. Ill go take pictures of what im dealing with here. Im going to forwarn you the brush guard is rusty I know so you dont need to rub that in I am going to refinish it.
  20. Yeah sorry I should have spaced it out and checked it for errors I only had 15 mins before I had to be at work so I hurried. As far as it being bent I dont beleive it is it looked fairly straight. ill hold it up to the actual car and get some pictures so you can see what im talking about because it is just no where near fitting. it feels like it is for a completly different truck which confuses me because i watched them take it off of a 94-95 pathfinder.
  21. Ok im still kind of a newb to the pathfinder so idk if i should have known this wasnt going to work but here is my problem. Yesterday I was at a junk yard and saw a pathfinder with good wheels and brush guard on it. So i asked the guy at the desk how muc he wanted an it was only 150 for tires and 20 for the brush guard. The brush guard needs to be painted it has a little rust but thats an easy fix. What i am having trouble with is it came over of a 94 or 95 because I have a 93 and the dash looked like the newer ones but everything else looked the same as my pathfijnder besides the dash. The one at the junkyard was a xe and I have a se. Well anyways when i got the brush guard back home and was looking at how it going on there it is no where close to fitting. The spot where the two big bolts go on the bottom when the brush guard is pressed all the way up against the bumper they are still no where close to lining up and where those bolts care supposed to go into the holes on the pathfinder it seems like the brush guard is a few inches to wide. Also the little clips that look like they clip onto something in the grill dont even fit through the grill. So what im getting at is the 94-95 body stype that different that the brush guard doesnt fit. I looked at the side it seems to be a grizzly brush guard if that helps. it looks just like this brush guard i think its the stock one http://i111.photobucket.com/albums/n131/Ca...Metl/brush2.jpg Thanks for the help let me know what you guys think!
  22. i think your right i wiggled it around and it helped alot but it still isnt running right. Think its something ill have to replace? Also when i was in there my engine was making a raddling noise. I have heard it for a while but it was really faint. Now it seems quite a bit louder. seems to be in the top of the engine near the intake
  23. I had the same problem i had to buy a new starter....
  24. Hey im sure this has been posted before but i am at work and dont have time to read threw them all. So the past week my 93 pathfinder with 200k miles has a bad idleing problem. When i come up to a stop sign or basically whenever i have the clutch in or in neutral the rpms drop from 1100-750 (normal) down to 150 or lower until it finally dies/kills its self. The only way to keep it running when its doing this is reving it up when it gets low. Some times it wont have this problem though but the past 2 days it had done it 4 out of the 6 times i have driven it. It doesnt seem to matter how far i drive it either it does it right away if its going to. Also I was sitting in my drive way tring to figure out what is wrong with it and when i rev it up the vechial tends to shake more than normal and also sounds kinda like its chugging. A few other signs i have noticed is horrible gas mileage. my normal tank was 320 or so and now its down to 100 miles from a 19 gallon tank. The exhuast also doesnt smell right it seems to have a very vowl smell, and a noticable loss of power. A few things i have heard/been told it could be bad injector bad cat Throttle body Idler something... Any other ideas or suggestions? Thanks for the help
  25. I had the same problem with the lock being hard to open i just sprayed WD-40 in it and put the key in and just try to work it in then squirt some more in a nd it seems to do a fairly good job. Only problem is your key gets greasy the first few times you use it after.
