  3. im having the same problem i just bought a pathy and was wundering if it has the keyless entry the prevoius owners didnt give me any of the remotes for it if it did. Is there a way to check? I have a 93 SE and it has the blinking red lights security system by the ebrake and has a black box under the drivers seat nears to the door. Is there something i can look for to tell if i have it ?
  4. ok so i looked around on the pathy today. It does have the red blinking light in the center by the ebrake. It flashes really fast tho and never stops. I also looked under the drivers side seat. There is a large black metal enclosure on the side closest to the door with alot of wires going to it. Does that mean i have keyless? The nissan dealer in my down claims the vechial doesnt have it but why would it have the car alarm and the black box you guys speak of if it didnt have the keyless.

  6. yeah i have the alarm switch in the middle it has a red light on it but its always blinking fast. it never stops tho even when the car is on. If i have this switch does that mean i used to have keyless entry?
  7. I bought my 93 Se pathfinder about a year ago and i was woundering if there is anyway to check to see if the car orginally came with keyless entry. The previous owners didnt have a remote for it but they didnt have very much information about the car. Is there a way to check or know if it does based on some of the features it has or i can go to a nissan dealer and have them run the vin?
  8. i live in mankato minnesota. I pretty much am just looking for a cheap set of tires. Mine are bald and the frame is rusting through so i dont want to spend a lot on a new set of tires. its basically my winte beater until the frame breaks...but with the tires i have now i get stuck almost just as fast as my little 86 300zx
  9. ok. hmm i wounder if mine will rub then too? because on my tire it says 31"x10.5" on a 15" rim thats a little bigger then yours right?
  10. so when you say tight does that mean that stuff could rub? I have a stock pathfinder and stock rims so will the new ones off a new vehcial rub on it the inside or no? do you know how wide the tires are on the newer rims like are they still 31x10.5?
  11. Hey i was looking at upgrading the rims a little bit and found a cheap pair from a 98 pathfinder. I was woundering if the stock 98 rims will fit on my 93 se pathfinder? it looks like the new rims are 15x7 and have 6 bolt patern so i wasnt sure if that is the same as a 93 or not. I know for a fact my rims are 15x7 and 6 bolt pattern as well but did they change the offset or anything on them? basically want i need to know is if they will fit or not thanks

  13. alright i figured out what was wrong at 9pm tonight. I found out the starter was located right under the oil filter and everytime you change the oil of course all the oil drips all over it(what a stupid ass spot for it to be located). So i just sat there for a few hours cleaning the starter off and making sure the connections were tight. I guess that did that trick! im so happy that was the problem and i didnt have to go buy anything. thanks for the help!
  14. yeah i think your right with the bad connection idea because i have never had a problem with it before. Starters dont just quit like that for no reason dont they normally seem weak before they die? Anyways I checked the batter connection they seem decent i just bought a new battery and put new termial ends on the wires. The starter connections on the other had are full of oil . Im guessing thats from being under the oil filter and over the years of it getting changed and driping it has just built up. So tomorrow sometime im going to try to crawl under there and clean them up and test that all out. What are the chances its the little buttons on the clutch pedel or the relays? because i was looking at a book and there are alot of relays and i dont want to really buy them all and find out its not them.
  15. Ok so heres the story. Me and a friend just got done changing the front brakes on my 1993 SE 4x4 MANUAL. All seemed good when i went to pump up the brakes and what not. So me and my freind went for a drive down the road to test the brakes out and they seemed to be working great! So we get out and turn the car off. About 5 mins later my dad wants to see how the new brakes feel but when he tries to turn it on all it does is just click once. Its werid becuase everything inside the car works (radio, subs, lights,ect....). I found the clicking is coming from a small blue fuse thing with 2 grey plugs going into the bottom right by the battery. Im pretty sure its not a alternator or starter problem becuase when my dad and me pushed it and my freind poped the clutch it fires right up. Like i said all i can get it to do it click one from that one blue fuse thing. I havent checked that switch on the clutch petal i hear that can be a problem. Im not enterily sure what it looks like i havent really looked around down there before. Well i guess if you guys have any ideas or have any questions let me know! NOTE i am not very mechanically inclined i can do the basics and that about it. Thanks for your time

  17. yeah ik that but i looked at the frame i honestly dont think its going to break anytime soon i dont offroad or pull anything or even load stuff into the back at the most it has 3 ppl in it and 2 12" subs. But when i get a camera and its a nice day out ill go out and snap a few shots. Im pretty sure its my struts that are bad because if i go around turned it bounces around and clunks and my 300zx did the exact same thing and the problem was fixed with new struts or shocks w/e it has
  18. ill go check it out when its day light and try to get some pics im not really a car guy so idk what a sway bar is and stuff but ill try to get some pick from under the car and around the rear tires. The thing its i can see where the craking thing is and its about the size of a pen right on the corner of the frame its right behind the passenger rear tire you can see it pretty easy ill get pics tho. I dont want to have to spend a lot of money on this vechical because it is basically used as my "winter driver" becuase i have a 86' nissan 300zx that is mint and didnt feel like rusting that out. So basically what im saying is if its bad and is going to cost alot to fix more then likly im going to leave it until it does break becuase i only paid 500$ for it.
  19. Hey guys i bought a 93 pathfinder se with 190k miles about 8 months ago and have been needing to ask a few questions about it. First off all if im getting about 230 on a tank is that bad gas mileage for this things? Also my alarm might never stops blinking how do you fix that or have any suggestions at what to look at? Also on my passenger side manifold a bolt is broke off which is a common problem i guess and was woudering since its 350 bucks to have a shop fix that if anyone thinks i can just put jb weld over the seem and the old bolt hole? Also my frame is extremely rusty, in one spot there is a chunk that looks like it could break off its like 6 inches long but its right on the corner of the frame and only about a fingures with tall and wide. Should i be worried about that? One more thing when i go over bumps my whole suspention creeks and groans is that normal also my back end makes loud clunking noises i think its the struts if so i have adjustible ones if i were to replace them can i just buy regular ones and put them on or do i need the adjustible? Sry i wrote alot but i hope you guys can help me out
