I got my 92 se with 124k miles

make sure your pushing the clutch petal all the way to the floor push it like 110%. I forget sometimes and are like wtf why wont you start. Assuming you have a manual

Ok i have 2 things..... 1 I got a different cluster from a 88 and it was also from a manual and it looked just like mine but orange. Well i knew the tach wouldnt work but everything else besides that tach and the speedo and the odmetere worked. I also dont know if they speedo worked on the one i tested the junk yard gave it to me since they didnt know and were about to crush the car. I took the dash out and drove with no cluster. I say the cable spinning but when i put the cluster back in it didnt work. Did i get another bad cluster or is something f'ed up on my cable? It looked like a square. Also it seemed to be spining.Should I try another cluster? Also when you put the cluster on does it kinda feel like its springy mine felt like it was i could push on it and it would pop back just a tiny bit. 2 how do you get the needles off i want t otake out the speedo part of one of the clusters and test it with out the whole cluster in there. I couldnt figure out how to get them off though and didnt want to break them. Do they pop off somehow?

^^ that is correct! serves me no good my new 92 didnt come with the factory keyless like my 93 did. Too bad i never got to use it it broke before i had time to program it ha its still in the wrapper.

one way to remove it might be to take the box out from under your drivers seat its a little black box closest to the center of the car the other box is your ecu. I dont know if that will fully disenage it though.

its the same shape they changed it a little but like the heat and volt gauge are in the center instead of the sides but thats not reall important because i dont think thats replated to the speedo part at all.

Ok so it should work then? would a cluster from a 93 work also? I found one cheap on ebay.

I have a 92 pathy with a bad speedo and odometer and I have a 5 speed manual . Ik theres other with the same problem but i didnt wan tto jack their thread. I just wanted to know if I were to buy a auto or a manual cluster with a working speedo from 90-92 will the speedo part be the same. ( ik the cluster looks a little different) but are the gears and stufff the same so i can just swap them out into mine?

yeah i thought your was electronic but i think im my case i can buy the gears and put them in but the dealer by me wants 190 ofr the gears and thats not including labor to put them in so im definalty doing it myself. yours might just need a new sensor i didnt notice yours was a 94+

I had this same problem happen on my 93 (just the trip broke) nd now on my 92 the trip and speedo quit. I think its the gears in the cluster get messed up. I am currently searching form a 92 cluster from a manual

ok mihgt look into it those are such a improvement over the stock ones! definantly worth the 30 bucks for the light housings but replace the cheap ass bulbs it comes with with some nice 50$ silverstars!

my old one sqealed alot and i replaced the belts thinking it was that and it ended up being the bearing on my alternator. about 2 months later my alternator seized up when i was driving and my battery died and wrecked my new belt

my uncle has a old orange 260z thats been sitting in his barn on his farm for the past 20 years could probably get a few off of that. I almost got that car over my 300zx

yeah thats what i thought i should look into tring to find the 200zr mounts and crossmember. i think the only other real big fabing is tranny mounts and a changing the lengh of the driveshaft

I would do the rb26 but the 2 turbos dont fit in the engine bay and would cost a @!*% load.

that was kinda my thoughts. if im going top be spednign 5k to get a sr to work why not spend the extra 1k and make it a better car. Plus then i can say i have a skyline engine haha

yeah it fits i have seen it done. I didnt get a choice on this car my dad gave it to me for the 16th birthday. but i got a good job now and was thinking of upgraded. I askeed on a z forum and everyone like freaked out. I guess ppl say that stuff all the time and never ever follow up on doing it. lol Im pretty sure im doing this unless i find out it will take more then 10k ha motor is only 2500 shipped and i cant imagine its to hard to get it in they came with a rb20 in japan it was called the 200zr. just wondering if anyone has ever swaped that motor into something and got it to run good. I would do the sr but it doesnt have has much torque to get the car going as good as the rb. my freind has 2 sr20 swaped 240sx and i dont thing it would be much of a improvement from just getting the turboed vg30 that came in the car. 260hp is probably all i will need

Hi ik that has nothing to do with pathfinders but has anyone ever done a rb25det motor swap? I was thinking about doing it in my Z this summer and get rid of the stupid vg30 in it. (sorry i like the one in my pathfinder but my car should be quickers ha sometimes its hard to tell!) Anyways, I was wondering if anyone has swaped a rb into something and how much work was it to get to run. thanks

sorry didnt see u posted. They fit perfect in my 300zx and i love them they are the samsize and shape as the factory sealed beam ones so you install them just like replaced the bulb regularly. They are way bright and have a much better directed light. it would be cool to find out how to mount them in the pathy!

i also mounted mine on the rear seats I got one amp and a 3 fared cap on the other seat works great!
