  1. Awesome.. This seems like the perfect option to complement my custom double shear idler arm brace. Should handle the abuse of 33x12.5 with ease after this!!
  2. Awesome dude I had no idea krypton was based in alberta! I am in BC and have a friend who desperately wants to lift his pathy and run 33s. This looks like the perfect option!!
  3. I thought that by cranking the torsion bars you increase their effective spring rate? That would make up for any extra weight unless the bars were worn out. Am I wrong?
  4. Well how was it running with the old motor? Was it running rich then? Did you use your old 02 sensor? Are you sure you didn't miss any electrical connectors or grounds? Has it had any tune up? Did you do the spare plugs, and check the cap and rotor for corrosion when you put in the new motor? How is the fuel filter?
  5. Okay back home to the island. Goals for next few days: Finish reinforcing idler arm, finish welding up a double shear idler arm brace. Figure out how to mount the rear tire carrier I just got, mount new front full bull bar front guard with light guards (think maybe from an r50). Also looking for new lift springs. Need more lift! to go 5.9 JGC or 3" lift cherokee springs. Anyone know how long the 3" lift cherokee springs are??? 20 inches would be ideal...

  6. Well this is pretty freakin sweet. I must say. I might have to try this hybrid system out... Why didn't Nissan use this system instead of the one natively used? Seems strange to me if it keeps the tie rods at a better angle and is a stronger system than the 4wd version. ... I am running 33s now and am in the process of beefing up my IFS... keep updated with how this thing works and how it handles the abuse on your main rig!!
  7. Haha one last thing. I have a 1990 na z32. Anyone know if it has the removable eprom or is it only the tt that has it??
  8. Also does the m30 ecu have to be wired in? Or do the pathy electrical plugs fit the m30 ecu??
  9. This is extremely interesting to me. I have a z32 I will be playing with soon, and that is very cool to learn it has a removable eprom. But more to the point this m30 ecu swap... I have a vg33 swap with intake headers and 2.5 exhaust and soon to be 3.0 Cams and a z31 turbo. I am looking into tuning options to make this 3.3 turbo pathy possible and the m30 nistune combo sounds perfect... please keep updated to how this swap turns out.
  10. I would personally do the body lift first if you plan on doing it anyway. One reason being that it will make your exhaust job that much easier, and two you wont have to have the exhaust changed again later. It's a tight spot under there with no body lift... an extra 3" of room really makes a huge difference for both working with headers and exhaust alike.
  11. Nissan did make one... its called the navara. And it comes with a turbo diesel
  12. X2 on the model and year of Chevy to buy for the tie rods? Is this for both tie rod ends and the adjuster on each side? Or just the ends?
  13. Excellent information!! I am about to upgrade my lighting system and this is just what I needed. Someone pin this!!!
  14. Yeah if you go aftermarket head unit just run new wires to bypass factory amps. The head units internal amp should be a lot better..
  15. Yeah dude I got nothing but respect for that project, looks awesome bro!!
  16. By the way I used the obx headers and besides the lack of y pipe they fit perfectly. Would recommend them especially for 100 shipped is all I paid on eBay.
  17. Keep in mind the 02 sensor goes into the exhaust pipe after the Y junction and the pipe goes to single. You will have to weld an o2 bung to the pipe. The big hole in the header is for your egr. I just blocked off my egr when I went vg33. Made things a lot easier.
  18. looking awesome, inspiring me to get started on my front bumper...
  19. that's awesome man. are you going to be doing any experimenting with custom tuning at all for the vg30e now that you will be running mpfi? I am running a vg33e swap with intake/headers/exhaust and soon to be 3.0 cams. I would love to do a custom tune to really unlock the power of the motor now. Looking for anyone else that has any experience and it seems you do have experience with ecus! I have a bag full of eprom sockets that will fit an 8 bit nissan ecu. should work perfect for plug and play chip tuning on the ecu.
  20. looked around for a hardbody manual steering box and no luck! so i started reinforcing the stock idler arm. cut a piece im welding along the arm to truss it and then welding up a idler arm brace. ill get some pics tomorrow when i finish should be beefy enough to hold up to my 33x12.5 no problem
  21. yeah man, oversquare is the way to go if you want to rev! low piston travel speed is essential...
  22. Hey my1path that's exactly what i was looking for. 19" sounds like it would be the perfect length to stuff in there so they wont fall out, as my stock springs basically fell out at 16", the JGC barely stay in at 17", one side more than the other. 2 more inches on top of this would be PERFECT. My only question is i will be running a spare tire carrier + 33x12.5 spare on the rear and want to retain most of the height, this is a travel/expedition rig so it will be loaded down quite often. will these springs be okay for that or will i sag down when i am loaded up ? p.s. i have a spring compressor so getting them in is no problem.
  23. lol... I did those when i first bought my pathy. Had a nasty front end vibration and my rods ended up being a little chewed and the cups squished.. Energy suspension bushings and a coat of powder coat and front end was 50% tighter. HUGE improvement over worns units for people who haven't done this yet... i suggest it.
  24. I can attest to the difference of power between the vg33e and vg30e. it woke my pathfinder right up. i would DEFINITELY put this motor in a car any day, just use your old vg30e cams in it and it will have a higher torque curve. i got my whole vg33 engine and accessories /misc parts for 200$ but I had to pull it. look around man. it's worth it! i am now seriously considering doing a vg33e-t swap on my z32 slicktop
