Just so you guys know, the plate type coolers work better than the tube-and-fin type. I don't think it really matters where you place the cooler on the front end, it'll get sufficient airflow no matter where you put it.

Tires usually run about $100-$150 each for 31's. New cheap steel wheels go for about $40-60 each. Depends on what you get and who you get them from, I suppose. My brother knows a tire wholesaler who buys 'em from dealerships and tire shops for about $7.50 per tire as a batch and then sells them for $15 each and makes a tidy profit. Most are real decent tires, too. They're mostly street treads as well, but you never know what you may find!

There's a pinned topic in the Garage "How To" section on how to run the test on the TCU. It's flashing the Power light because it has stored error codes.

I'd suspect either debris stuck to a wheel or a missing wheel weight first. Check your struts for missing or loose bolts.

46 psi, last I checked. 87-89's run at 36 psi.

It's not that Nissan built them poorly, it was the grade of steel they used and the fact that nobody washes out the frame like they're supposed to. I've seen lots of junkyard Pathfinders over here and only one or two had any kind of rust on the frame. It all depends on where you live and how you take care of the vehicle. The frame CAN be rust-proofed inside, or at least oiled.

I believe the Calmini setup uses stock Chevy truck tie rods. They don't get them anywhere special, heh.

If you have a voltmeter, check the resistance of each light individually. If one is high, change the bulb.

Either cut the ends off the metal lines or slide the fittings back and clamp the hose on. In our case, (WD21 Pathfinders, 87-95) you need to bypass the stock cooler completely when installing an external cooler. The stock cooler doesn't flow enough fluid to keep the trans cool in the first place and clogs up very easily.

I don't think it's got much to do with "having the balls" to build an engine for power, it's got more to do with the amount of time, money and work involved. 99.9% of the people out there are only capable of (or willing to attempt) bolt-on work and haven't got the time or money to tear an engine down completely, replacing stock internals and doing a lot of work on an engine that will simply be used in their daily driver.

If it's on a pickup the rear parts won't match anyway, cause trucks have leaf springs in the rear. The front parts will all match, though.

I dunno, exhaust shops aren't supposed to modify the OE emissions system any at all. Same reason they won't remove a cat and replace it with straight pipe.

Tranny's shot. Sorry. When internal seals start leaking, they allow slippage which burns up the planet gears, the direct drive clutches and the servos. The stock cooler gets clogged up with burnt clutch parts and then reduces overall flow through the trans, which further exacerbates the problems until one day there's nothing left for it to engage and you end up with no reverse and nasty grinding noises.

Are the Coopers passenger tires? Cause the BFG's are light truck tires with triple sidewalls...there's your problem.

See if you can buy the front end IFS lift brackets and all if it's gonna be parted out. That's the Trailmaster 4" lift kit and it costs $690 for the kit with no istall and no shocks...I'd buy it from you if you did end up with it!

Shocks won't make it steer funny. Looks to me like your torsion bar has either stripped out an anchor, the adjuster broke somehow or it's broken altogether. Time to jack it up and take a look.
