Not to be rude, but sorry dude, I for one am not going to go to the extra length of emailing you answers when you can check back in here if and when you should so desire. Just like everyone else does. It would help to know what year and model we're talking about...

Nice find! The 4-wheel discs and other options you listed makes me think you bought an SE model. Those are the good ones! Don't worry about the loss of the running boards/nerf bars, they tended to rust out and not help very much anyway. Check your rear diff for a little orange sticker that says "LSD OIL ONLY" and tell us if you have a limited slip rear differential. That's good to have if you like to offroad. The sticker is usually to the left of the round center part and is viewable from the rear of the vehicle facing forward. On the speedo: Pull your VSS (Vehicle Speed Sensor) at the trans end and check the plastic driven gear on the internal (trans) side. They tend to strip out, rendering the speedo inoperative. I've also seen just the speedo unit die from a broken cog or gear inside. Also, your alternator is shot. Don't go on any long trips.

Alarm Installation Questions
88pathoffroad replied to phattbaztard's topic in 86.5-89 WD21 Pathfinders
I haven't heard too many people say anything about installing their own alarm. Most people just go to a shop, I guess. -
Ain't that the truth. Beautiful work, man...nice and clean and sharp. It's gonna be nice!!

Checked your fuses? An aftermarket deck has it's own inline fuse as well as the one in the fuse panel, if it was wired with stock wiring. 'Course, it could have just plain taken a crap on ya. The Alpine deck in my van hasn't had a display in about half a year, it gets tiring not knowing what track you're on or what station you're listening to.

I just went and looked at mine...you're right, that AC line is real close to the pulley. It hasn't ever touched, though. No rubs a-tall on mine. 'Course, I took off the AC belt a while back and haven't run it for a few years.

The only mode you will get ECU error codes on is mode 3. The other modes are for different purposes. Check your plug wires, cap and rotor first...do the easy stuff.

Do not use axle or bearing grease on CV's. They take a thinner type of grease. Just so you know.
-
Get a Haynes or Chilton's or FSM, all the info is in there.

I believe the fuse for that is in the fuse panel, if you hadn't bothered looking yet. There is also a CC module that controls the operation of the CC, I forget where it's mounted on a 95.

Once again, for what year and model?

Wagoneer coils are shorter and lighter than Grand Cherokee coils...but try to measure the coil wire thickness. It needs to be at least .54" or greater to give you any lift. I have .58" Grand Cherokee coils and they give about 3" of lift. Stock Pathy coils are .50" and 16.5" tall. BTW, there's a How-To in the How-To section covering all this already...

Awesome, Grant. Good work, man!

Yeah, there's a timer for the delay feature. It should be under the hood attached to the wiper motor. Little brown or tan box. (IIRC)

Good advice all. ^^^

Wow, what a project! I can't wait to see what it'll look like finished.

Qv 3500 Extreme Oil Consumption Problem?
88pathoffroad replied to husky570's topic in General Forums
This is actually a common problem according to a master tech at a Nissan dealership who posts on NissanHelp.com. They replace the one valve cover with a revised design one and it fixes the problem. -
He doesn't HAVE an airbox, he has the round air cleaner.

Stainless bolts are also going to be way more expensive. I'd go with new bolts and generic nuts and washers, personally. I tried using a stainless axle on my bike once, it was touted as "40% stronger than regular steel axles!" ...broke it on my first ride. I was pissed.

Westin Extreme Bull Bar Instalation

Me neither. -
Sorry, I should have clarified: only the KA24 TRUCK engines got TBI's.

There is no mark on the oil pump for the crank. I've never seen one or heard of anyone replying that the mark was already there, even though the Chilton's and Haynes books say it's supposed to be there. You have to set the engine to TDC on the compression stroke and then make a mark for it yourself. That happened to me, too. Don't feel bad. Also, the marks only line up every...what, 24 engine revolutions? It has to spin over 4 times per cylinder cycle times 6 cylinders.

Take a different one out and either measure it or take it to a hardware store for comparison purposes. Lowes or Home Depot may carry those if you look.

My mom threatened to give me my stepbrother's old Dodge Daytona turbo if I can get it running. It's a real POS as it sits(good turbo, though), but maybe I could rig up a remote-mount turbo setup on the Pathy in my spare time. I'd do it just to say it can be done!

Also, instructions for body lift kits suck and they may not get everything bolted up right due to incorrect or missing instructions...
