so i was cranking it with a 1/2'' and a breaker bar and it seems to be turning the bolt every so slightly. as if it was going to break the bolt it just kept turning so i stoped ands im turning clockwise and doing that the with the cover off the timing belt the belt just moves a hair. this sucks i got it for free thought it was electrical probs and it was only half of the problem

ok, so i can not turn the motor from the front...so im sure it has seized. i crank and push only a hair of movement from one direction to the next. if any places to look other than a total tear apart please let me know..... oh well i got her for free and was hoping to upgrade from my old volvo wagon. Ok now got spark but.................. when cranking nothing at the front of motor moves the crank shaft dont move at all please tell me its the timing belt..... guess there was more than the battery put on backwards please help if need more info let me know Mahalos

how do check the coil? i hooked a meter to check resistince on the links and they looked clear

ok so i changed the ecm, icm, and distributer......still no spark and the tach still jumps all over...what could that be? the wife is getting mad at the $$$$ being spent if can help let me know aloha and mahalos

ok so i got a computer from a 93 model. but still will not start but... i can now get a code other than 55, i get 11 crank angle senser does that mean i need to replace the dist. or can change just the senser? anyone have a dist. to sell cheap? i did notice with the old computer in that the dist. would make a clicking type sound oh and the tach jumps all around what does that mean? aloha will a ecm from a 93 4x4 5spd work on a 95 4x4 5spd mahalos plenty

Aloha from the middle of the pacific Just wondering if the the battery was connected backwards till it killed the battery(this is how i received the pathy) would that for sure kill the computer. i mean shouldn't there be things between to stop the roasting of the ecm? if so what and how to test. i ask because theres no junk yard to get cheap parts and no body to test ecm. maui has not much of anything and it all cost an arm and a leg for EVERYTHING. is it true that i can only replace a ecm from 1995 4x4 5spd v6 with the exact same model and tranny if so that sucks oh well my kids wont be eating for a few days
