  1. Ohhh boy. That's not good. #1, never attempt to try starting a waterlogged engine. You might have bent a rod by trying to crank it over with the cylinders full of water. Pull the spark plugs and THEN crank it over. Wash the cylinders out with clean water. Crank again. Drain the oil completely and change the filter. Spray off your radiator from the outside as well. #2, you'll need a new ECU and probably a door lock timer, ASCD unit, remote unlocking/security unit and tranny computer, if they got wet. Ouch.
  2. Actually, it's a 21.1 gallon tank. The 2WD/KA24 pickup trucks got the 16 gallon tank. All the Pathfinders with a V6 have a 21.1 gallon tank, period.
  3. No such thing exists, sorry. Buy new endlinks with poly bushings that are about 1" longer...by the way, yours is a second gen. Two-door, four-door, R50, and so on.
  4. I had to swap out my old steering box...it started leaking like a seive, no exaggeration. The swap's pretty direct, unbolt, take off, replace...if you do end up replacing it, make sure you get one that's an exact match from a near-same-year vehicle, cause the steering boxes are different between 89-90-93, I do believe. I have schematics of how the 87-89 steering box works, you can find more here: http://www.Nissan-techinfo.com/Nissan/refg...thfinder/ST.pdf Page 18 is the beginning of the steering box info.
  5. You can buy motor mounts from Agressive Off-Road (http://www.aggressiveoffroad.com) and a t-case adapter from Advance Adapters that lets you bolt a Chevy TH350 or TH400 to your existing Nissan t-case.
  6. You're probably going to need to change front shocks to a design without the dust shields, ie, Ranchos or Pro-Comps or something. Those things are really wide as they sit. You could also use a cutting wheel and cut the dust shields off at the top completely.
  7. Hands down, the rear locker is my best mod to date.. Next is the L&P steering and ported/polished throttlebody.
  8. Today I went out to the Detroit Lake/Breitenbush area of Oregon, near Mt. Hood. Have some pics. Rocks? HAH! I laugh at rocks, even when I can't crawl all the way up on them because I didn't want to air down my tires. Snow is fun. Poser shots. Finally, after a long day of on and off-road action, the Pathy takes a nice dip in the hot springs. (needs to be deeper)
  9. Mine needed a good few more spacers to get the camber back out where it needed to be. Perhaps you got a set of 720 UCA's? Got a pic? Measurements? I can measure mine and compare.
  10. Good old eyeball engineering and solid guesstimation, my fellow Pathy owner. Thanks!
  11. Sweeeeet! Lookin good! My panhard rod came off pretty easily. Just use a breaker bar or 1/2" drive ratchet for leverage, it'll come off without too many problems.
  12. Nope, they should all be 31 spline up till 1998 or so on the H233B, if I'm not mistaken.
  13. I cut off the curled edge and then used a flap-disc sander to fine-edge things. That's about it. Thanks, Bernard.
  14. I finally got it all finished. *whew* I'll be flipping the RS9000 shocks right-side-up before going anywhere, I put 'em on before reading up on the subject of mounting shocks upside down...I was trying to keep the valving adjusters out of harm's way by flipping them over. There are two 1/2" x 4" Grade 8 bolts with Nylock nuts that bolt the bracket on, and a 9/16" Grade 8 bolt with Nylock nut replacing the stock 14mm bolt for my panhard rod end on the drop bracket. A 9/16" bolt JUST fits through the old holes on the lower control arms and the panhard rod.
  15. Try changing your oil filter. It may be clogged up and the bypass might not be working right.
  16. It may be an exhaust gasket letting go, or another stud broke on your manifold somewhere. I'd eyeball all the exhaust connections first.
  17. There's no real need to...there's a sticky topic in the Garage with pics already.
  18. 97SE, you need to quit smoking whatever you're currently puffing on.
  19. Hey now, there's some innovation. That'll work on stock steering to a degree...if the tie rods or centerlink develop excessive side-to-side wear, you'll still get parts to fail, but at least it won't twist as bad as it would without the sliders. Good work, man.
  20. Heh. Nice body kit. The Rancho system requires you to buy new wheels to install it. The UCA's don't clear stock wheels. Crappy, huh?
  21. Hey Airrun: XTerrains aren't the best tire in the world...I'd suggest looking at different brands. The Pro-Comp tire line has a bad record for being crappy tires.
  22. I think you'll be fine with a 2" lift. After 3-4" though, it gets a tad rediculous.
