  1. The stock alarm is under the driver's seat under the carpet. If you have it, you'll have a switch on the left side of the dash to turn it on and off. The wires were cut from the fenderwell, not from under the hood. All I lost were some battery cables, nobody got in.
  2. And beefy they shall be. Full of bias-ply goodness and wonderful 4-ply sidewall strength! With Bogger side lugs and IROK centerlugs, I shall be nigh unto unstoppable! Super Swamper LTB 33x13.50x15's. Muy bueno!
  3. I have a full scanned set of pics from the Nissan stock alarm system for 87-89's owner's manual somewhere around here, I swear.
  4. Woke up last night to the Pathfinder's alarm going off. Went out as fast as I could with keys in hand in only a robe, no contact lenses, couldn't see a darn thing. I couldn't find anything wrong. Got in, turned the alarm off, went back to bed. In the morning: found this. WTF? Someone trying to steal my corner light and turn signal? Goddammit! Nope. Not the case. Then I saw this. Someone tried the old trick of touching the turn signal light wiring together to try and short out my alarm. De nada, that doesn't work with the Nissan factory setup. Then I found this. #@%!#$%~@#$^%!!! (red arrow points to almost-hacked-in-half positive battery cable from battery to starter) That mother#$!&er cut up all my starter wiring and battery cables to try and disconnect my battery and disable the alarm! Needless to say, that set off the alarm finally and scared the p***y-arse bastard away, dropping his broken flat-head screwdriver and leaving it behind. I spent four hours this morning repairing that @!*%e so I could go to work. I was only three hours late. I had to solder the oil pressure sensor and starter wiring harness all back together by hand. Has anyone here tried removing chopped-up starter wiring and battery cables that're 17 years old and covered in oil, sand and dirt? ARGH. On the up side, I added all-brand-new 4 gauge cable and terminals for my starter, engine ground and alternator ground(connected to a common bolt on the intake manifold, then to the battery directly), and now I have a little more power as a result! Woohoo!
  5. Yes, we are. Please start another thread if you want to discuss the snorkel subject any further. I'd appreciate it if you guys would please just calm down and not have a mini flame war over the aesthetics of snorkels and how to cut holes in fenders. Nobody cares, really.
  6. Not particularly, but my forums are oriented at WD21's in particular. http://wd21forums.damagedreality.com
  7. I believe so, but dang, man...you should straighten that thing out and de-rust it first, heh.
  8. Good but very expensive. I heard one guy tell a story once about wrapping his cheapie headers and having them rust out from underneath the tape after a year or so...
  9. Oh, they're different looking. The Monroe line is a bit smaller and not quite so beefy-looking.
  10. You can remove the heater fan pretty easily from underneath the dash on the passenger's side and see if anything's in it.
  11. Yup. With the Trailmaster 4" lift kit, you'll have to reroute the crossover pipe, though.
  12. That works. Ah, the Paris-Dakkar rally. Cool, but boring. Way too slow for my taste.
  13. Most places, you'll get pulled over and ticketed for not having fender flares if the tires extend past the fenders. It's a rock-chip hazard on the road, ya know?
  14. Did you reset the ECU yet?
  15. You'll need a Rancho part #5402 steering stabilizer, and a mounting kit: Rancho part #5533. As far as I know, there is no "kit" that includes both the shock AND the mounting brackets, unless an aftermarket company buys tehm separately and sells them together.
  16. You'll need an tachometer adapter for the MSD. It is available from MSD.
  17. Does it come from the heater vents or from elsewhere?
  18. Check the MAF sensor wiring plug and make sure there are no air leaks anywhere after the sensor.
  19. Exactly. Hehe. My gas gauge needle starts to go down after about 20-25 odometer miles, but that's actually more like 25-30 miles, with correction for the tires.
  20. It's hard to devalue a Pathy that regularly gets covered in mud and already has high mileage and low resale value...hehe
  21. Yeah, who knows what-all gets on there...it happens after you shut the engine off and hot evaporated fuel gases fill the intake tract until it cools off. That sounds about like what was on mine.
  22. Nope, you just have to lengthen the steering shaft under the hood. The column stays put.
