  1. There is no intake air temp sensor on a VG30i. There's just the air cleaner hot air riser valve and actuator for cold start-up. Hmmmm, wierd. There's nothing else obstructing the piping anywhere internally? Pics might help.
  2. 2WD Pathfinders have a carrier bearing and two-piece driveshaft, yes.
  3. You could try unplugging the idle-up solenoid valve and the FICD solenoid valve one at a time to see if either is causing the oscillation. Those are the two screw-in hex head dealies on the pass. side of the TBI with two wires each. You can also unplug the EGR valve vaccuum line and plug that off to see if that does anything. The problem with idle and surging problems is that quite a few different things can cause it, so you have to sit down and really go through the top of the engine to make sure everything's working.
  4. If the charge and brake lights are both on, your alternator has died. No doubt about it. That's what it does when the alt dies. Been there numerous times, seen it happen to other people numerous times.
  5. They look good with the reverse EL glow hooked up. I had a buddy with some in a Chevy.
  6. How do you fit two nuts on the UCA spindle? That thing is short to begin with. Both of mine have about two threads showing.
  7. Use a belt wrench on the crank pulley to hold it while you use a breaker bar to loosen the crank bolt. Works great.
  8. It takes like 15 minutes to move the rear one up, and it looks a ton better. Unbolt, examine holes, move bumper up, rebolt. IIRC, I had to use a couple of new bolts cause the old ones are bracketed.
  9. The nuts on the inside are welded to little plates that fit tightly into the corner of the body. The top ones come out, but the bottom ones are inside the body where it's spot-welded together, so you can't get 'em out.
  10. Coo, now move up your back bumper and bolt 'er together.
  11. $100 USD would probably be a good deal, if you really need one. I don't think you'll have any problems with your old one, though. They don't usually break. I'd save the money for something else.
  12. Internal or external spare? Your question is still unclear. Do you want to remove the tire carrier AND the tailgate for some reason?
  13. Which are you trying to remove? The spare or the tailgate?
  14. Sounds like your door pin switch has gone south on you. It's the little rubber-bootied switch in the doorway that pushes in and out. They're cheap and easy to replace. That's why your alarm doesn't work, I bet. No idea on the AC problem, but usually an AC system takes more than one can of refrigerant AFAIK. I think you need more is all.
  15. There should be an upper bumpstop to help limit upward travel and a lower bumpstop to cushion downward travel at the extreme ends of the suspension travel limits. Under normal use bumpstops are not a concern, only when you max out the suspension upwards or downwards through articulation. They should have nothing to do with everyday driving. The bumpstops should be above and below the lower control arm somewhere in there. I'd have to look at a FSM to see exactly where, though. I don't have first-hand knowledge of R50's. If your struts are making noises while driving normally, they're probably shot and need replacing.
  16. That steering setup should go on scarysteering.com. Oi. Damn.
  17. Where are you finding a 4.5" suspension lift for a WD21?
  18. It's between $700 and $1100 for the dealership to do one, with the water pump, belts and hoses. I HAD a &^%*@$# complete write-up on how to change the t-belt on my forums before they got hacked into and destroyed. The 87-93's (usually)have the 60K change interval, the 94-up have a 105,000 mile change interval.
  19. OK, I shall reiterate on how to use the search feature of this board, then. There is more than one option available to you and by using the search feature correctly you can find most anything you want. 1. Click "Search" at the top of the forum. 2. Click "More Options" near the bottom of the main text box. 3. Enter keywords for what you're looking for on the line at the top-left. If you want performance and gas-mileage tips, try two searches. One for "gas mileage" and one for "engine performance" or "performance". That way if there is a single post about each subject but not any with BOTH in it, you will still get answers one way or another. The only way the search can find things for you is if you can define what you're looking for properly, so check your spelling and make sure you can remember exactly what you need to search for. 4. If you remember a certain person posting something that you wanted to read again and you want to search for that, you can enter that user's name onto the "Filter By Member Name" line. That will search through all posts made by that person and return results with any of your keywords in them. 5. If there is a specific forum section you want to search in, select it from the menu beneath the keywords line. Otherwise, select "All Forums". Leave the "Search in Child Forums..." button alone, it should be ticked already. 6. Choose how far back you want to search using the drop-down menu on the right. 7. Choose how you want to sort your results using the drop-down menu. 8. Choose how you would like to view the search results, either as the topic of a thread only or as the actual typed text of the person who said it IN that post. 9. Click "Search" and stand back! Here you go!! 10. Read results, click on threads and start reading. There's more on how to use wildcards and quotes and other symbols to search more accurately, click on the "Advanced Usage Help" and you will get a pop-up window with more options. That's about it. Have fun.

    LSD

The ONLY turbo 300ZX rear LSD you can use is from 4/87-89, clutch-type only, and not if it was in a pearl white SS edition. The one you don't want is the VLSD type. I went to the junkyard a couple weekends ago and found a turbo 87, jumped for joy, ran over to it, and found out it did NOT have the LSD at all. LAME!! You can ID the LSD by the finned rear diff cover they put on 'em. The non-LSD rears just have a rounded diff cover.

  22. That's the same guy that's using pics of my Pathfinder in his Ebay auctions without my permission, the bastard. I asked them to remove the pics and he said the auction pages were all un-editable, which is complete BS.
  23. I don't believe they are, no. They also changed from 94-up as well.
