  1. Sorry to burst your bubbles here folks, but if I'm not mistaken, the 01 has the 3.5 which no longer has a distributor, but 6 separate coils (coil pack) ignition. It's a totally different engine from our 3.0L VG engines, Slick........I don't think much of what you've said on locations is pertinent.
  2. No....not vaccuum......their all electrical, AFAIK.
  3. I wanted a 4Runner. (I know, I know) Couldn't afford it. Looked at tons of SUV's, and liked the Pathy. After test driving a 4Runner, and a Pathfinder in succession, I decided I liked the Pathy better.
  4. Happy Birthday Oliver!
  5. I'm in for whatever. I've saved a countless amount of money because of this site, not to mention the entertainment value through the good people here.
  6. Check for bad wiring in the driver's side kick panel. I had the same symptoms......low click from the cargo area. That's the "door lock timer". That's normal. I had a bad wire in the kick panel.
  7. I've heard someone has a deal going on where if you buy one, you get a free litre of halogen blinker fluid.....sly

    Fuel Pump

More than likely, if you also washed the rear part of the truck, you've got some loose/corroded wires to your sending unit on top of the tank. I had the same issue last New Years....got the truck washed.....drove home okay, then went to go to a party, and she shut down on me, constantly blowing the fuse.... If nothing under the hood checks out, try pulling up the carpet in the cargo area and removing the access panel to have a look at the wiring for the sending unit.
  9. I don't know if I buy that.........Unless something's drastically different from kick starting a 95, because I got mine going, by rolling SLOWLY in reverse, (in reverse gear) and popping the clutch. Started right up. My guess is the key was in the acc. position, as opposed to the on position.
  10. If you have a 95, you shouldn't have an airbag.....at least, mine doesn't!
  11. *snicker* Great idea Luker, but I'll pass...
  12. Not a problem. I'll be around all day, leaving in the evening to go visit some friends. If I'm not home by the time you come by, I'll leave them in the mailbox. Good luck with the rest of the stuff........hopefully it's an easy fix........... And if you fix ANYTHING....make it that CL.
  13. Pull. Mine's held on with clips.......
  14. Hey Dowser..... If anything, once you get her running.........I'd go buy a new stock CL, and install it, just to get her aligned for your trip. It should last a while, as long as you aren't wheeling it....and based upon the amount of play I saw in yours while you were at my place, I'd say it's a mandatory repair. Especially given the length of the trip you're taking. You'll eat through those brand new tires in no time. Probably toast them on your trip. Your O2 sensor MAY not be shot, as the crack in the cat could be messing with it's readings....... If you've got wheel rub, and the T-bars are cranked.....start trimming. I know 88's got 33's on, with a 3+3 and he had to trim the fenders a bit to stuff them in there. If it died on you while Idling, that doesn't sound good. Check your distributor, wires, plugs, MAF sensor and connecting wires. Also, if your pump is running, maybe change out the fuel filter.....possibly became clogged. As usual, if you do get her running again, and need a place to work on it, let me know..... Keep us posted on what's wrong with her, and good luck.
  15. Someone needs to calm down a bit! Take a pill V6. That DEFINITELY doesn't help any. Teen, in mine, I've had the horn pad sit too low, and rub on the plastic parts of the column, creating a bit of a noise. Maybe it's something as simple as that. Otherwise (and it's still a good idea regardless) check your PS fluid level, and crawl underneath, and check for leaks in the steering box.
  16. I don't think there's anything wrong with your transfer case. I think the problem is that you have open diffs both front and rear. One tire on each axle will spin, while the other sits idle if that's the case. It's normal. With that said, you need either an LSD or locker for the rear. That'll give you at least 3 wheels spinning in 4wd. I don't know if there's anything out there to lock/LSD the front diff in an R50.

    A few questions.

I got a headlight at a wrecker for $20. It was at a U-Pull it yard. Maybe that's why it was so cheap?
  18. Well.....looks like I won't make it tonight......gonna try to make it home in one piece. It's asshat central out there.......... Sorry Luker.......maybe next time buddy.
  19. Luker....I agree with you 100% on both items!!!!
  20. Maybe.....maybe not.......with weather conditions around here deteriorating quickly, I might try to make the 50k commute home.........but not 100% sure yet.....
  21. Aww.....look at the big love in here....... how sweet!!! Luker.....I heard about you being booted........meh....you don't seem that harmful to me.....anyways.....I might show up tonight.......and, might even wheel with you for a little while. What time are you showing up?
