  1. If you follow the wire for the connector in your hand I believe it leads to the AC compressor..
  2. Yeah I don't know what happened there. It is like they changed it to be embedded into the page instead of a link to the file. I can only view it on my PC as well. Can you try wiggling that MAF sensor connector and wiring? That is a common problem on these and will cause those exact symptoms. Actually do that to all connectors in the engine bay that are plugged into sensors. If it makes any change, suspect the connector, wiring, or corrosion on the pins.
  3. I have had mine since 2009, and this is the 2nd pathy they have been on. At least 100k on them. They are a little soft now but they were great when new. Lifetime warranty so I got 2 new ones waiting to go on. I got a set of Bilsteins (5125 series) from someone on here and they look nice but I could not justify the price of new ones. I am planning on installing those on my Xterra.
  4. I know the rancho rs5112 fit right onto the stud of mine. No problems at all. I think they're mostly all the same size.
  5. My time on the weekend is worthless so I will piss around with my lifted pathy because "close enough" is good enough. On my DD I take it somewhere because unlike my wheeler pathy, it doesn't get much abuse or part changes.
  6. The Xterra is good too but it just doesn't have that feel and character that a pathfinder has. I mean I like both but I if I had to get rid of one the choice would be easy.
  7. This guy's videos are really helpful. It's where I got the idea to do it on my friends car. It is still holding up fine.
  8. Mine doesn't do that. I have all gears even when cold...only thing it waits for is the locking of torque converter.
  9. It is 40 teeth between the cams and 43 between the drivers cam and the crank marks.
  10. How would you know, you never come to Ottawa But you are correct. Mine is the only one I ever see driving around.
  11. It is almost unheard of for the oil pump to leak on these. I would ensure all the bolts are torqued down, replaced the front main seal and go from there. Mine had the same problem. The whole bottom of the timing belt cover was soaked, as was the oil pan and crossmember below..
  12. Did this start right after the rotor replacement? Or after a little while? Check to make sure there aren't imprints on the rotors in the shape of pads. That is the cause of a lot of vibrations. do you feel any play in the bearings at all when grabbing the tires? If not it's probably fine.
  13. I have repaired some pretty bad ones lol. They make kits to fix it now so it is pretty easy. You just slide them on and weld away. That xterra looks decent. Make sure the timing belt was done on it at some point.
  14. My frame has been boxed in and it tows great. If anything it is probably stronger now than it was.
  15. You will like it but there is something about the pathfinders that the xterras just don't have. I have both
  16. It could be a break in a wire that interrupts the circuit when the truck hits a bump or is jarred somehow. Did you replace the pump only or the whole sending unit? They are known to corrode at the connections on top. The sensor would be in the distributor. These trucks don't have a CPS/CKS like newer ones do.
  17. What about the fuel pump relay? Check that there isn't a break in the wiring?
  18. PM Nefarious on this board. He is on the Island and just did the same swap.
  19. Nissan still sells them AFAIK. Also steal a bunch from JY trucks for spares. Hardbodies and similar year Nissan cars should have them.
  20. Ahh, could always unbolt the torque converter from the flywheel through the starter hole, that's what I did on my auto.
  21. And yes if you sprayed something and it made a difference you have a leak. You should always use new gaskets. Not worth the headache for the cost!
  22. What did you clean the throttle body with? They have a special coating and anything but the right stuff will mess it up.
  23. If you can't get it to clear by finagling around the diff, you will either have to pull the diff, or loosen the trans mounts and slide it back a bit. I recently did one on a 95 5 speed. What a bitch that was.
  24. Installed a new mast in my power antenna, screwed up the threads and cannot get the chrome nut to start now. Anyone have a power antenna laying around? Mast doesn't have to be good, as long as the motor runs...
